Would like to have had TVs in the bedrooms. Need to add a small whick in the kitchen, other than that great. Nice outside space with a grill. Close to the Ferry to go to Gulf Shores. Very quiet area.

Great place for family with small children

Had a great stay. Great place for a family with small children. Wouldn’t recommend this house for family with elderly members due to the walkway being very uneven. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great place close to the beach

We enjoyed how close this place was to multiple beaches. The listing was as described. It was quiet and clean! Would stay here again.

Wonderful experience

This property was bright, super clean and updated. Great location close to the ferry, and only a short drive to anywhere on Dauphin Island.

My husband and I stayed at 5B for a week while we were closing on our own home on the island! So it was more of a business trip and not a pleasure:vacation stay. As such the condo served our needs. It could have been a little cleaner and it seemed smaller than we expected but would be comfortable for a couple with small children. It was in a quiet neighborhood which we liked. Being on the first floor you could hear noise (footsteps and talking overhead) but luckily nobody was rowdy. The Internet, TV, appliances and laundry all worked great and were appreciated. The hosts were wonderful and responded quickly to questions and issues (like when I was getting the Internet password incorrect, lol!) Overall a decent place to stay.

Exactly what we needed

The condo was absolutely perfect for a two night stay with my adult daughter and her dog. A short easy drive to the East beach and, if you are not familiar with the island, the drive to the restaurants is easy too. They are located in a quiet area and everything was clean and comfortable. The second night there were renters above us and you can definitely hear the walking. If we rented again, the only thing I’d change is I would select an upstairs condo.

Great place!

Overall, our stay was great! The property is not on the beach or within walking distance, but the drive to the beach is short. It’s located on the east end of the island and a very short drive to east end beach, which is nice and not very crowded. Also, everything was very clean and organized well. My only gripe about this place is that you can hear the upstairs neighbors walking. Actually, when our upstairs neighbors walked normal, it was fine. But they had small kids who like to run a lot, so we could hear them often.

Not a good stay.

The kids beds were dirty and had to have them come clean them, there was clothes in the bed from previous renters, dog hair, and crumbs. Not a good experience at all.

Enjoyed

Property was clean and nicely done. We brought our two small dogs with us and the only issue was the 5 small children staying in the other downstairs unit were playing outside were shrilly yelling for most of the day and one of them even opened our door and let one of our dogs out. Luckily we got him before he went far. We never did see the children's parents.

Visiting my son, that lives in Theodore, Al with my 80yr old father.

Stayed 2 nights booked 3 nights 4 days. We left after the second night. 1st morning a child was banging on our door at 7am 😡 wrong condo. 2nd night got woke up at 11pm. Upstairs residents were running around and had a barking dog. Then residents upstairs were up at 5:30am. Loud talking and barking dog. So we left by 10:30am. Soo if you stay here. Make sure you rent the upstairs condo. Islander’s was the very best place to eat. Condo is in a nice neighborhood and was clean.

Dauphin island vacation

The apartment was recently renovated so it was very clean and fresh! Great location! However if you are a very large person or handicapped it is not for you...the bathroom door is the smallest I have ever seen! The island is great for the beach but in Feb when the fog rolls in there is not much to do.especially on Monday and Tuesday almost everything is closed..so we thought we would watch tv...not happening because the internet connection is poor when foggy...I recommend trying cable. It might just be the downstairs units that have this problem. Even with these problems we enjoyed a great seafood dinner at the pirate restaurant next to the golf course...loved the beach and the ferry ride! Thanks for letting us use your place!

Clean, great location but needs work

While the cleanliness & location were amazing, the outside property needed some help. This is NOT elderly friendly or anyone who has balance, walking issues. The “walkway” from the parking area to the door and the back patio were pavers and were EXTREMELY un-level. The outdoor table couldn’t even sit on all 4 legs. Also, if you are on a bottom floor you can hear everything the upstairs people are doing. Every bump, step, noise. Same with the neighbors on the bottom floor but it was voices. It woke us up most mornings. We were not given the correct wifi information for this unit because I noticed “Alvarado 5B” as an option for wifi but was never given a password & the username they gave us was not even listed. Lastly do not sleep in the bunk room unless you are a child because that mattress has zero cushion. It was a spring mattress and was extremely uncomfortable. Overall, cleanliness, stocked supplies/appliances and the location to the aquarium, beach, and campground were amazing. Probably wouldn’t stay here again but that is purely because of noise of upstairs tenants and unleveled walkways and back patio.

Priced Right, clean, convenient location

This apartment (1 of 4) was very conveniently located on the island. Place was remodeled in a cute style. The beds however were not comfortable. To soft for my taste. Kitchen had everything needed. Maintenance was called and they came promptly. For the price was a very good place to stay.

BEST LOCATION FOR WALKING TO ATTRACTIONS

I liked that the property was so close to the ferry and Aquarium and Fort. It was a nice neighborhood to walk my dog with beautiful views of the water very nearby. I was in the lower right side unit and the layout was convenient. I did hear footsteps of tenants in the unit above me. There are few issues with damage to the flooring in the kitchen and under a couple of the kitchen cabinets which was unexpected since the description read that it was newly remodeled a couple of years ago. Perhaps that is fixed by now. The beds are fairly comfortable and the decor is cute. My brother and sister-in-law visited me there for 3 days and the living area is nice for visiting. The island is small and quaint and I enjoyed my visit for sure.

Nice clean place. Communication with Karin was quick and easy. Internet was spotty, but that was to be expected given the area. Great stay!

Perfect Getaway

We loved everything about it. The only thing I’d recommend was maybe adding a couple more beach towels, we only had 2.
