Puerto Plata Butterfly Villa

Newly constructed mountain view Villa located within 20 minutes of the airport and 5 minutes of Playa Dorada (One of the highest rated beach/resort areas in Dominican republic). The villa has 4 air-conditioned bedrooms. The 3 large second floor bedrooms all have private bathrooms with hydro massage showers, walk-in closets and high definition TVs. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and Jacuzzi. Queen sized beds in all other bedrooms. One handicap accessible first floor bedroom with common bathroom. Additional bedding can be accommodated upon request with additional fees.

Private Pool, modern kitchen amenities, 2 living room areas, Terrace, Patio, 2 car carport in gated community. Free cable TV and WIFI access throughout the villa.
The villa is located within walking distance to one of the prime casino/nightclubs in Puerto Plata. The beach, shopping plaza, cinema, restaurants and ATMs are located within 5minute driving distance. The world renowned Ocean World Casino and water attraction park is within 15 minute driving distance. The ocean world complex and nightlife clubs are accessible to all tourists without the need for the 'all inclusive' high prices. Other nearby tourist activities are yachting, snorkeling, golfing, go-karts, boogy kart excursions, sky-diving, surfing, horse riding, secluded paradise island beach, zip lines and many more. With advance notice and a small additional fee(s) the desired tourist activities can be scheduled and reserved in advance.

Cooking and dry cleaning services are provided with small additional fees. Unlike all-inclusive resorts you can select days and times these services are desired so you may enjoy the many activities away from the Villa.

One day of cleaning service is included for every 3 days the villa is reserved. Additional in-house keeping can be arranged with a small additional fee.

Great Time

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at your home. Anything you would need to have a fun time is available at the villa. I have vacationed at other villas in the area and villa Butterfly is one of the best. I can't wait to go back Kevin NY

Nice stay.

I absolutely have no complaints about my 6 days spent at this residence. I appreciated that the management promptly addressed any concerns that arose. I'd book it again and recommend it. It's very accessible to the airport and the amenities of Puerta Plata.

needs plumbing work an cleaned better for 5 stars

The place looks nice. For the money should be 100%. The bed room dressers were dirty inside, some broke. Kitchen drawers dirty some broke. The water heater kept tripping off. Master shower was dirty. The cleaner was there when we arrived still cleaning. 2 towels per bath for 3 days? For the price I paid i expect house cleaned before arrival, fresh towels, jacuzzi I don't need to reset breakers to use, master shower in 100 clean an working order. Nice house, needs attention to detail....

Excellent Birthday Vacation!

This house was very nice. The was kitchen fully equipped with all essentials for cooking on your own. The rooms were very spacious with modern décor and comfortable beds. There is a nice pool and patio in the back yard (as pictured). If you prefer the beach it is in walking distance (10-15 min). Restaurants and vendors are also located at this beach which is very nice. There are plenty of towels available to be used for bathing, the beach or the pool. We opted to have a cook. Maria was wonderful! She cooked everything we requested and even surprised us when we couldn't decide what we wanted. She really went above any beyond. She even helped get a personalized cake, balloons and champagne for my birthday surprise. Rene (our taxi driver and tour facilitator ) provided by the owner was also excellent! He gave us great information to help us navigate Puerto Plata and booked excursions on our behalf. He also recommended restaurants, made dinner reservations and was flexible with our travel needs (we experienced flight delays and cancellations). He even picked us up in the pouring rain on short notice and took us shopping. And always with a smile! The owner was very responsive and accommodating. When we had a problem with the hot water he had an attendant come to the house and fix it within 30 minutes of my notice to him. He also let us extend our reservation at the last minute when our flight home was cancelled due to bad weather in US. This was first experience with HomeAway. WE HAD A GREAT TIME and I was not disappointed !! Overall I would recommend this property. As suggested in listing a car is recommended as taxis can become a little pricey depending on how far and how often you venture out. There are plenty of walkable options for food beach and entertainment. I'm a bit of a clean freak and would have liked being able to wipe/clean counter surfaces, bathroom sinks ect. to tidy up on my own without having to go buy cleaning supplies to do so. Yes, you can opt to pay for more frequent cleaning services instead of the standard included cleanings but I did not. One last thing bring plenty of bug spray!!!! There is an abundance of beautiful lush greenery and lots of hungry insects :)

Amazing home, Even better company

The house is just as shown.. beautiful, close to everything and amazing mountain views. The highlight of the home.. is the staff. They were amaizing, accommodating, and by the end of the trip they felt like family. I'm gonna miss them most of all

From my first encounter to hopefully never my last with John and Manuela it was always enjoyable. I had to leave a review of this place. It is what they say it is! This place was unbelievable. Very spacious and immaculate. Close to everything we came to do. I also recommend you have Nana do all of your cooking and cleaning. It is an extra charge but one I couldn't live without. Her cooking was amazing and I ate like a king! She became more then a maid to us she is now our friend. Also inquire about Edwin's services, if you need advice on getting around. He checked on us everyday to make sure we were having fun! Whenever I return to Puerto Plata I will be staying here! I've been around the Globe and I've never been more relaxed! Thank you John, Manuela, Nana and Edwin. We will be back soon.

Beautiful

My friends and I had an opportunity to stay in this wonderful villa.The villa is well cared for with all the modern amenities. The staff was great and the cook awesome. The owner of the villa was Emanuela was wonderful and willling to help in anyway needed.This definitley one of my new favorite places and will definitely be back thanks for the best experience Emanuela.

The property was amazing and very comfortable

My experience from day one until I left was wonderful. The owner was very sensitive to my needs. And the staff were the best staff I have ever had from the cooks the housekeeper and the chef were great. They knew I came to just relax and they were very flexible with ensuring I was a able to relax during my stay. This is a great property. Not far from the airport and was an excellent vacation.

My friends and I had an opportunity to stay in this elegant house. It was well cared for and the owners were great in providing g information about the local areas. It was a great place to stay and I would love to stay there again for my next visit. It was extraordinary. I'll easily give this location 5 stars.

Perfect Birthday Get Away

My stay at the Butterfly Villa was really a home away from home. The venue was even more beautiful then the pictures I saw on the site. The house is very clean, huge, and perfect for any occasion rather if it is for a romantic get away or simply a retreat to hang out with friends. John Carmona and his wife Manuela were very hospitable and will assist you with anything you need the moment you contact them, no matter the hour of the day. The housekeeper/cook was amazing, very kind and makes a delicious breakfast like no other. I plan to come back to puerto plata very soon, but I owe my first time experience to the Carmona's and their beautiful Villa. Definitely recommend everyone to stay here at an excellent value, I know I will again very soon. Thank you!!!

Estuve hospedado en la villa por un periodo de 3 noches y cuatro días con familiares y amigos y fue excelente, la hospitalidad de parte de Emmanuela y su Staff fue increíble, muy amable y servicial, la villa es perfecta para grupos grandes, desde la comodidad de toda la casa, hasta la limpieza, sin hablar de los servicios que te ofrece de entretenimientos incluidos en la villa y la excelente locación, recomendada.

Spacious,relaxing,comfortable.

The Butterfly Villa is close to the CBD and Casino of Puerto Plata The rooms are spacious and property is well maintained with a pool.The only issue we did have was the hot water was not working at first, But that was quickly addressed. The owners John and Emmanuela are the most friendliest people you can meet and have made the Villa so warm ad inviting. I am an Australian and even though was along way from home i did feel at home there. I will certainly be recommending this Villa to anyone of my friends and family or anyone that wants to feel a home away from home

Best Villa In Puerto Plata

This is the best modern Villa in Puerto Plata, very comfortable and they do have maid service and chef service for an additional fee! I do recommend this villa to everyone! Best Vacation Home Ever!!
