Tucked away on one acre of lush, timbered land, this charming, recently remodeled A-frame sits right on the banks of Clear Creek and features vintage decor and antiques throughout, an efficient Vermont Casting wood stove, and a full kitchen with updated appliances and custom tile work by a local Mt. Hood artist.

Just outside, dine on the spacious, furnished deck or gather creekside at the fire pit complete with stone benches where you can roast marshmallows with the whole family under the stars.

What's nearby:
This rental is located less than two miles from the Mt. Hood Highway for easy access to parks, ski areas, and towns. Visit the quaint community of Rhododendron where you can hike, fish, or grab a bite to eat at the Still Creek Inn & Lounge. If you're visiting during the winter months, this home is within 25 miles of five different ski areas including the Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort for skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. In warm weather, bring binoculars and your camera to walk the Mt. Hood Loop of the Oregon Cascades Birding Trail. And after a day of summertime adventures, come home and cool off in the creek right off your back deck.

Clear Creek Cabin - perfect for our needs!

I loved being near the stream, hearing it burble, and in among the cedar trees. The cabin itself was delightfully comfortable - the layout, the furniture, the kitchen, and that awesome wood stove to take the chill off the cold nights! I liked that we could have bright lights, or just the soft glow of the side lamps. I liked the rustic feel of the place, yet having updated and very clean bathrooms and kitchen. I also liked that there were plenty of outlets for using/charging electronics and Bi-Pap machine. Having the 2nd living area upstairs is a brilliant design, even though we didn't use it much this time around! We were delighted, comfortable, and felt like we got exactly what we hoped for.

Great location but a challenging layout

Very nice property and beautifully located with deck overlooking creek. However, very narrow, steep, low ceiling staircase leading up to the bedrooms. Very challenging carrying luggage up and down. Also, no bathroom upstairs for guest or 2nd bedroom, so if you wake up in middle of night, you are having to navigate this staircase down to the 1st level. Although bath downstairs is nice - but toilet seat is loose and nearly broken. Hot tub refers to bathroom tub, and so there is no outdoor spa. Also, mattress in guestroom is old and uneven. Needs replacing. But many good hiking trails nearby - highly recommend salmon river hike - goes for 14 miles, and has a nice elevation climb if you go far enough

Perfect little getaway cabin

This place is adorable!! Itā€™s the exact small cabin feel I was looking for. The decor is beautiful and it has everything you could need on your stay. It was very clean inside, there was a random mop on the floor when we first arrived which was weird, but reassuring that it was cleaned before we arrived. The ceilings are soooo low, so tall people beware! Iā€™m short and my husband isnā€™t tall either (5ā€™7ā€) so it was fine for us and made us feel tall! The beds were kept nicely and every room had great character. I like that there were options because the main master roomā€™s bed was way way too soft for us, it really hurt our backs and hips and we are only 32 (lol I guess getting up there at the age where the bodyā€™s aching easily). So, the second night we stayed in the smaller room which was so adorable and beds were fine. It is definitely in the woods so there are bugs and spiders and webs allllll over the windows. Not sure if thatā€™s something that isnā€™t allowed to be cleaned in the area but some people might not like it, it looked pretty cool from the inside seeing them catch their bugs in their websā€¦and only like 2 spiders were in the inside that we saw. The little path to the fire pit and creek were great and loved being outside on the deck!!! Even enjoyed some burgers on the bbq. The only thing on the outside that would make it better would be a bigger sign to the entrance of the property. The numbers are way too small to see while driving down the area with other cars around and easily missed; even the Vacasa sign is puny against the bushes. Other than some little things here and there I think it was an amazing home, which is why I gave it 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone! So worth it!!

Perfect Getaway

This house is so charming. Hidden treasures were found around every corner. The location was perfect and the creek was a little slice of heaven. Our family definitely wants to make this a regular vacation destination.

Perfect little cabin!

We loved staying here! The lower ceilings and quirky staircase really made it feel like a cabin from a story book. Our four-year-old son didnā€™t want to leave and asked if we could come back next week! Weā€™re excited to come again in the winter, and try it in the summer.

Fantastic rustic cabin with your own private river spot!

We stayed in this home over the massive June heatwave of 2021. The cabin is absolutely adorable - very rustic (though kitchen and bathrooms are updated). There is AC in the downstairs, which was a life saver during the heat of the day. The BEST part about this property is the outdoor area. The back deck has a beautiful view of the lazy river below. A short walk down the back of the property leads you to a fantastic fire-pit with a river view for s'mores. A little further down the pathway is your own private river spot!! A great, very safe spot for wading around (if you can handle the icy water). We spent entire days lazing by the river while the kids played. We did have a serous problem with the well pump stopping completely one day (like ZERO water in the toilets or sinks). Vacasa was very responsive to the problem, and after a 10pm call the night before, the water was restored by 11am the next day. Inconvenient, but it's a rustic cabin, and these things are to be expected (if you don't like rustic, you won't like this cabin). Overall, a 4-star house with a 5+++star river property!

Nestled in the forest

This updated A-frame cabin is so cute, rustic, and cozy. It was a perfect getaway for rest and quiet time. We loved playing games on the deck, enjoying the fire pit by the river, hearing the river from the windows was also enjoyable. Lots of trails nearby and mt hood was cool to go see the snow in the summer time. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure is limited. There is WiFi and phone signal but not always strong. In true cozy-cabin-style people large in stature or girth may not find their stay as enjoyable. An awesome place to stay if youā€™re looking for a cabin in the forest.

Fairytale Cabin in Breathtaking Rhododendron

I think the words, ā€œholy crap this place is sooo coolā€ were said about 100 times during our stay here. We didnā€™t want to leave the coziness of this tucked away cottage!! The sounds of the forest, creek, and rain were pure bliss. The views outside every window made it feel as if you were in a treehouse. Convenient grocery store was about 2 miles away, small bar & cafe right down the road (get the fried zucchini), and youā€™re close to many trails w/ views of Mount Hood. It was cold & rainy during our time in OR so that space heaters within each room were appreciated. And how have I gone this long without mentioning....the JACUZZI! You wonā€™t want to get out of the tub, just trust me itā€™s amazing. Iā€™m positive you will love your stay here. There were 4 of us and it was a perfect, cozy fit. The decor/details within each room gave it such a homey feel and I will forever cherish the memories we made here! Stay here you wonā€™t regret it!!

Not ideal for a winter family holiday

Itā€™s small, tight, kitschy and low-ceilinged as other reviews have stated. Pros: the location on the creek is lovely. The 2nd floor sitting room affords beautiful views of the rushing water and moss-covered trees. There are heaters everywhere so the cabins gets warm and toasty fast. Cons: This is the only place we have ever rented anywhere that offers only basic cable. No CNN. No ESPN. No kids shows. One local ABC affiliate, one Fox affiliate and lots of reruns of Andy Griffith. We were there over NYE and couldnā€™t watch any bowl games or the ball drop. We couldnā€™t stream bc their internet is so slow. Weā€™ve rented the cabin next door before ā€” they include Netflix, Amazon prime video, HBO and an Alexa! And we could be on zoom for meetings! Also this house had no light at all on the deck. It was pitch black out there when using the grill. The house offers no flashlights. Ridiculous and dangerous! And only four dinner plates and four bowls await you here. Get ready to wash dishes between every meal. Bring your own Saran Wrap, aluminum foil, ziploc baggies and Tupperware for storage. This rental has not one option available for your leftovers.

This was everything I wanted it to be-peaceful, quiet, cozy, easy access to the creek and the mountain....I could go on and on. The jet tub was lovely and it was fun to use the fireplace. Canā€™t wait to go back for more relaxation in the future!

Beautiful retreat

This house is beautifully situated along huge trees and right next to Clear Creek. The view out the back windows and from the back deck are fabulous. The house is well appointed. Fabulous wood stove. Comfortable beds. A great retreat.
