Do not stay at this property!

It wouldn’t let me leave zero stars. The condition of this house is completely disgusting and shouldn’t be occupied. There is mold in the vents, in the carpets, on the floors and on moldings around doorways. The baseboards don’t look like they’ve ever been wiped down. Chairs were on the verge of breaking and you can see where they have been terribly repaired in the past. The dishwasher doesn’t fully open because it hits the fridge. There was a dead bug on the bathroom floor when we arrived. The toilet paper holder in one bathroom was broken off and under the sink- just fix it! Because without it the toilet paper has to sit on the sink or back of toilet. Under the sinks- disgusting. Most of the bunk beds are completely tilted or basically a taco. And to sleep 18 people in this house as advertised you have to have two people on the bottom bunks which is awful because you fall into the person you’re sleeping with. Most of the metal fixtures are corroding. There is siding missing on the front of the house. Every single trash can and recycling can was overflowing before we even arrived so ALL of our trash had to be placed on the ground during our entire stay attracting hundreds of bugs. Had the sheets and towels not been wrapped up in plastic when we arrived.. I without hesitation would not have stayed at this house. That being said.. this is a “luxury” rental and included all housekeeping.. for one, this is a total joke. For two, this should include the beds being made with clean sheets- not us having to make the beds and also unmake the beds and starting the dishwasher upon leaving. Back to the bedding.. we only loaded the sheets onto the bed and took sheets off for washing.. so how on earth am I to believe that the comforters are being cleaned? I don’t believe for a second they’ve been washed in between stays. In addition to how disgusting the house is... the owner needs to start putting money back into this property. For how much you pay for this rental there is no way they aren’t making enough to update the bedding, mattresses, corroding fixtures, fixing issues, replacing molding carpets and vents and on and on and on and on. I will be sure to tell everyone I know to not stay in this house and advise them to be careful with Elliot rentals since they’re the ones renting this pit out when they have zero right to. This home should be shut down until furniture is safe to sit in and the mold is gone AT THE LEAST. And there is quite a bit of mold.

Needs a good cleaning and maintenance was very concerned what's up plug Outlets around the TVs.i didn't call I did some things like the hair balls in the tubs (3) so the water would go down..no biggie..we have a good time

We loved the house and that it was on the beach. All the kids said it was the best present ever and want to do this every year.

NOT a luxury rental

Yes this is a beautiful property on the beach but that’s about the extent of it. We came the week after Christmas and there was still ample amounts of siding and insulation blown all over the year fro the hurricane in October. More than enough time was present to clear the debris. The chairs on the porch were rusty and broken! The heater did not work and had a technician turn it to emergency heat so we could stay warm. Unit to be replaced after our stay we were told. Hot water heater on the first floor master broken. No hot water. We were told this has been this way prior to our stay by the plumber. Window leak they may not have known about but was icing on the cake essentially. Closet door broken and hanging off hinges and about to fall on someone. These things are major. Check to be sure these things have been addressed by owners before you rent to ensure you do not have the same troubles. The rental company refunded part of our stay in the end for all the troubles.

Great for large families.

The property was great with a ton of space. All linens were supplied upon arrival. My only complaint is that the batteries were dead in all of the remotes so we had to replace them. Also, there are a ton of light bulbs out throughout the house with more going out while we were there. If I would have called they probably would have taken care of it, but wasn’t worth the hassle. The grout is coming out from between the tiles all over the house also. Other than that, the stay was perfect. The house was clean. Didn’t see any bugs in the house. There is a ton of stuff to do. Elliott realty was great and didn’t have any trouble with them. I would definitely stay here again.

Great size and location

House needs some minor repairs. The outside area needed to be cleaned up there was trash and broken chairs under the deck that faces the beach. The weeds need to be cut down so you can access the grill area.
