Host was very welcoming, very attentive, excellent with communication. The home is beautiful and the view cannot be beat. The house has everything needed and beyond. Thoughtful amenities throughout.

Perfect for our family vacay!

We go to Bear Lake every Labor Day and this has been our best stay yet! The home was perfect for our family to be able to spread out and not feel on top of each other (even when we were all in the same room), the view is spectacular, and our host was so lovely and quick with communication! We hope to return in the future!

majestic mountains sanctuary

this property has it all. and the host was so helpful and responsive. the community has so many amenities that my whole family loved. the wild life surrounding us were breath taking. we can’t wait to come back.

Absolutely Amazing!!

This property is breathtaking! From the moment you walk in and see the spectacular view you will want to return time and time again. The homecwas spotless and had everything that we needed and more! The Lake Club is also amazing and had a great pool, hot tub and beach. Communication with the host was seamless. I would recommend this property to anyone! We took numerous hikes to local waterfalls and also took a ride on the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad. Everything was amazing!

Amazing views & beautiful home!

This home is stellar in every way! It is large and spacious to accommodate a crowd, the views are spectacular, and the host has gone above and beyond in providing for their guests. Firewood for the wood-burning fireplace, multiple types of coffee to suit everyone’s taste, Comfortable seating inside and in all of the outdoor locations.. sadly, our daughter’s wedding was canceled due to the hurricane and we went there for a respite and everybody left feeling relax and recharged.

The view is captivating and the home is spacious and well furnished. The photos really don't completely capture the size of the floor plan and the scope of the mountain views. The hostess is very responsive and caring. An issue arose that was outside of her control but she handled it with grace. We also enjoyed a pontoon boat rental ride down at the Bear Lake Reserve clubhouse and stopped in for a drink at the bar. We visited many area landmarks and restaurants. L'Oursière will remain in our hearts and memories for a long time.

There was not enough glassware for a rental for 10 people. We did not “run out” at a meal because we brought additional cups. But the main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is there wasn’t a communal TV on the main floor. Only communal Tv was in the lower level without enough seating for 10 guests

Oh, I’m so sorry about that. There should be more than enough glassware for well over 10 guests — I’ll definitely look into it. Had we known, we would have gladly had some delivered to you. As for the TV, it’s true that we chose not to install one in the lower living room in order to keep the focus upstairs on the view and a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere. That said, I think you’re right — adding an extra sofa or chairs downstairs is probably a good idea, and I’ll take care of that. Thanks for staying with us.

Incredible views! Very spacious. Enjoyed the Wolf range. Coffee and cream on hand- big plus. Enjoyed the golf course, boat rental, and gym. Highly recommend the home and Bear Lake.

The host is very accommodating and the home is beautiful and spacious with outstanding views. It is a meticulously clean home and equipped with high quality large and small appliances and very well supplied. We had a wonderful time and would stay there again.

The views were indeed amazing and ever changing. The immaculate house was well stocked with plenty of space for our family of two adults and four teens to spread out. The Bear lake Club was great for playing pool, lake and pool swimming, and dinners. We used the house as a base for trips to the Smokies and other natural attractions. Highly recommend.

I was puzzled by the 4/10 rating and went to revisit the various exchanges between the guests and us to identify what we missed, what went wrong, and what we need to improve. The guests actually sent us a message through the VRBO portal (VRBO can verify that) which I quote verbatim: « I got a notification today that my review had been posted for our stay at your house back in June. If I am reading it correctly it states that we rated it a 4/10. That is not correct. We loved the house and would be happy to give it a 10/10. Not sure what i need to do to change that? » Names hidden as per VRBO policy On our side too, great guests. It was a pleasure hosting them.
