Great place but the beds are hard

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. The condo was was very nice just as shown in the pictures. The balcony views of the ocean were very nice. The pool area was great but when it got busy in February the chairs filled up quick.

The beach view sucks the trees block so much of the ocean view. The place needs a lot of updates and touch ups. The pool was very crowded for the size of the condominium needs a bigger pool for everyone . Sofa bed has a bar across that stabs your back the whole time . Be ready to wait a while for the elevators only two for the whole place and stairs are only on the far sides of the building.

We truly enjoyed our stay! The property was clean and the check-in/checkout process was a breeze! Kitchen was well-stocked. Balcony furniture was extremely nice and there were even a few cushions on the balcony chairs which was a huge plus for my bad back! The only thing that holds me back from leaving 5 stars is the quality of mattresses in guest room. My 20 year old slept in the guest bedroom and said that he wasn’t sleeping well because he could feel the springs in the mattress. He has a slim build and never complains about anything, so I thought it was noteworthy. Overall, I highly recommend this property and was very pleased with our stay!

Lovely beach!

Waking up to the great view was terrific. We were kindred spirits with other folks staying at Commodore.. lovely quiet end of Thomas Drive. Great guys at the security gate!

The view from the balcony is beautiful. The pool and beach were wonderful. BUT the condo itself leaves a lot to be desired. It is spacious and roomy but definitely needs updates and a thorough cleaning. Get rid of the dirty area rugs, change the A/C filter (hasn’t been changed since 11/2025), and make sure there is no food residue on dishes. Toilet paper and kitchen/utility room supplies were inadequate for 3 adults. Stripping linens should not be the responsibility of guests upon departure given the cleaning staff doesn’t seem to be providing much service.

When booking… the price did not include the VRBO fee…???? When we checked in only one of the 3 TVs worked…. This was taken care of 4 hours later when service people showed….

We stay at The Commodore at least a couple of times every year; it is our absolute favorite location and feels like home. This was our first time in this unit. The decor was beautiful, kitchen was well stocked, and it felt very cozy. The only thing that was not to our liking was the bed(s); all were very firm and uncomfortable for us. We ended up going to Walmart to buy a mattress topper so we could sleep better. If you like a firm bed, it might be fine for you. Everything else was perfect.

Very disappointed and would NOT recommend, especially for families with kids.The condo was dirty and outdated. There was hair on the floors, and they looked so dirty I didn’t allow my kids to take their shoes off the entire stay. The first night, my son got into bed and found sand all over his sheets, which made us question whether they had even been changed after the previous guests. The dishes and utensils didn’t look clean either, so we bought disposable everything.The beach situation was horrible. We were 5 families with kids and all had property chairs reserved for the week. We asked to put ONE tent by the water in front of our own chairs, far enough away that it wouldn’t block anyone, and were denied. We had to set up off the property just to give our kids shade. The young employee setting up chairs was extremely rude and even gave our reserved chairs to another family two days into our stay.The pool is tiny, with most of it 8 ft deep, leaving kids crammed into one small 4-ft section. There was also a strong marijuana smell around the pool and even inside our condo despite this being a smoke-free property.Security was rude and unfriendly as well. Between the cleanliness, beach rules, staff, pool, and smoking, we will NEVER stay here again. If you’re vacationing with kids, look elsewhere.

The perfect vacation!

We literally just got back today. And we are ready to go again! The location is perfect! The security guards were some of the nicest folks. My only complaint and it has nothing to do with the room…the rental chairs take up the entire front of the property! But other than that it was perfect!

Property was great. View was amazing. Unit very clean.every thing you need to prepare meals in kitchen. Although the palm trees were beautiful but does hinder the view slightly Elevator wait times were great being on the 3rd floor. Easy open parking lot. Beds very uncomfortable extra cover in closets came in handy. Sleeps up to 8 but can only seat comfortably 4 in living room and bacolony. Bacolony very spacious. easy access to the beach. Both security guards Bill and Dean very helpfull. Lots of carts for loading and unloading. The pup next to condo had music that could be enjoyed from the front lawn of condo but did not interfere with guest and went on quite time about 10 to 11 pm would most definitely stay here again

Needs some TLC

The condo overall is nice. The living room is decorated nicely, and the floors are nice. The kitchen and both bathrooms could use some updating. We had a slight issue upon check-in, the condo had only partially been cleaned. Still had dishes in the dishwasher and the kitchen counters were dirty. The guest bath was not cleaned and the trashcan was in the shower. The guest beds were covered in sand, and there was a trash bag filled with towels on one of the beds. Once I contacted the property manager they eventually (a couple of hours later) sent someone to finish the job. Aside from that, the beds are terribly uncomfortable.The mattresses have no cushion what so ever. The dresser in the master bedroom has drawers that are broken and collapsing and the drawer handles fall off as soon as you touch them. All in all, the condo and the furnishings could use some TLC and upgrades. The balcony was awesome. Really nice table and chairs out there. Unfortunately, it rained and stormed everyday we were there, but that can't be avoided sometimes.

The room was not ready for check in at 4:00 PM.Trash was left in the floor nor was the dishes clean in the facility.The cleaning lady was in no hurry and did not finish until 5:00 PM. She kept getting on her phone and was in no sense of urgency to get it done.After we got checked in we had an issue with small bites in the room.We sprayed and it was better after. Did have maintenance come check it out.
