The Caribbean Reef complex is unique due it is uncrowded beach! Your view and access are completely unobstructed!
Enjoy the new and modern infinite edge swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The infinity edge blends seamlessly into the blue Caribbean ocean.
The beach in front of Caribbean Reef consists of white sand, a few rocks that create small tide pools filled with ocean life. From the shallow shore, the water gradually becomes deeper. It is perfect for swimming, wading, and snorkeling. There are also several shade palapas on the beach to enjoy a cold drink or a good read.
Each condo has an open floor plan. The kitchen with dishwasher, dining area, and living area all look out over the water. There is also a large, oceanfront, covered terrace to enjoy the ocean breeze.
The main living area has either a king bed, a single sofa bed, a double sofa bed or Murphy bed to accommodate children or another couple. Additionally, this main living area also features a full bath.
The Oceanfront Master Suite has a comfortable King Size Bed and a Private, Full Bath.
The condo is perfect for a couple or a family with children.
Midweek cleaning service with change of sheets and towels will take place after 7 days of stay. We will be happy to arrange additional cleaning upon request.
The Carribbean Reef Villas (CRV) is a wonderful, secure condominium complex. Located on a quiet stretch of beach south of the town square, CRV offers first rate accommodations! A LARGE infinity pool appears to spill into the blue Carribean waters. The expansive pool terrace area features lots of loungers, beach chairs, and shade umbrellas. At beach level, CRV also has several shade palapas on the white sand for shade and sun! Other amenities include a beach shower, gated entrance, secure parking area, night security, as well as a concierge 6 days a week to assist you during your stay
CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS: • If required documentation is not received from Guest (Copy of Credit Card in their name, Identification, Signed Agreement) within 48 hours of booking, Agent reserves the right to cancel the reservation and withhold a 5% fee for credit card processing. • If a confirmed notice of cancellation is received more than 90 days prior to the Check-In Date, the Reservation Deposit shall be forfeited by Guest. • If a confirmed notice of cancellation is received within 90 days of the Check-In Date and the Unit is re-rented, the Reservation Deposit shall be forfeited by Guest. If the unit is not re-rented, the Total Rental Fee shall be forfeited by Guest. • All payments received for any concierge services, extra amenities, third party services, and tours are non-refundable. • Shortened stays or early departure do not warrant any refund or rent or deposit. The purchase of trip insurance is recommended, as it is intended to protect travelers from unforeseen circumstances that cause cancellation or interruption, included but not limited to hurricanes, illness, etc. Trip insurance will be the sole remedy for the occurrence of such perils. • Utilities, services, and amenities that are available in the Unit are maintained regularly and kept in good repair. The agent will facilitate the repair of equipment or restoration of services, however, lapses in services or equipment do not warrant any refund of rent. • Construction noise from neighboring properties does not warrant any refund of rent.
Weekly Rentals include a mid-week cleaning. Additional cleanings can be arranged upon request. Our Property Management Company has an office in the town square and is available for any needs during your stay, as well as having an after-hours emergency number.

Pleasant and relaxing.
This was a 1st time ever doing a VRBO, so I didn’t know what to expect. I had to pick up a few essentials in town, but that was ok. The suite was roomy and clean. The pool area was beautiful and we had a very relaxing stay. Friendly guests. It was a little less than a mile to walk into town for evening dinner and strolling. If we plan to go to this area again, I would consider it.

Many positives!!
Israel was fantastic with communication before and during our stay. Office is offsite, in downtown, which was a bit confusing but manageable. Property was fantastic…spacious and clean. View was amazing. Beach wasn’t ideal for walking on despite property staff doing work with seaweed removal. Pool was beautiful and right on the beach which was wonderful. Shirt walk or taxi ride into town. Playa Jaguar bar next door mad amazing pina colodas and their pizza was yummy!!

Awesome!
Great condo, great view from a nice patio and lotsa folks keeping the wonderful pool and grounds clean daily. Everyone friendly and accommodating. Sargassum weed a bummer but it’s nobodys fault and staff at the complex do as much as they can to keep the ubiquitous weeds at bay. Would go back in a heartbeat

The view from the pool is phenomenal and the complex felt safe. The condo was clean, but very old (complex was built in the 80’s and this particular condo does not seem to have ever been updated, unlike most of the others). Windows did not have gaskets around them so the wind made a loud whistling noise all night. Management was responsive and came out the next day to caulk one of the windows, however it just ended up making the other windows and doors whistle more. The front door frame was busted and the door could very easily be broken into. Overall, I would definitely consider staying at this complex again, but would be hesitant to stay in this unit of the property again until they make some major renovations.

Peaceful vacation
This is our second time staying at this complex (different condo). We love the peace and quiet! The pool and area are spacious. No fighting for chairs! The condo is well equipped and clean. The view from the balcony is amazing. The beach is cleaned regularly and is swimmable. The only downside is you can’t walk to town along the beach. You have to walk down the road or take a taxi. Would be nice to have bikes available for guests.
We learned just before our stay that there was a scheduling conflict and our condo was not available for the first 2 days of our stay. The property manager provided us with a hotel in PM to stay at for those days. It was disappointing but the property manager did what he could to make it right.
We will definitely be back!

All we had hoped for...
Delightful spacious one bedroom condo. Lots of square footage, with an excellent bed in the master bedroom. All the windows and doors have screens, allowing us to live with ceiling fans and fresh air during our 11 day stay. (There is air conditioning available if one had needed it...). Going to sleep with the sound of the sea was a pleasure. Morning coffee on the deck was a lovely way to start each day. The neighborhood is quiet. The pool is as pictured, seldom crowded. The kitchen worked well for all the simple things we chose.
Downtown Puerto Morelos has grown since our last visit ten years ago, but is still a relatively small town with lots of good choices for a wide range of restaurants. The new Chedraui is well stocked with a wide range of choices for use at home.
The property managers communicate effectively and provided timely information as needed. Check in and check out and additional communication were all easily managed.
It is easy to think about returning to this safe -feeling tropical paradise.

Enjoyable girl trip
We enjoyed our stay the condo was perfect for the 3 of us and had everything we needed. Pool and beach were great. The ground keepers were very nice. And Mayan riviera properties (Stephanie) was wonderful in keeping in touch. Would recommend.

An Adventure in Mexico
First time staying at this property. Clean, quiet and close to town center. (easy walk) The restaurant next to the property very good. EVERYONE was professional, polite & easy to talk with. Taxis easy to get & reasonable for payment. Only thing I would change would be more detailed information about where the property is. It’s off the main road onto a dirt road with guards with guns at check point. That’s fine but a little scary getting there in the dark & not prepared for that. BUT glad they are there for entering area. Police patrolling the beach during the day. (standard practice, I’ve seen that before.) Private night security is about at night checking safety of the property. (don’t let they scare you, just be prepared.) Definitely will go back to this location. VERY SAFE!

Beautiful Location, not perfect. WiFi working yet?
Very quiet private beach front. Condo has a private balcony on the 2nd floor corner. Pool is excellent. Grounds are well maintained by hard working caretakers. Beach gets a lot of seaweed and ,unfortunately, plastics wash ashore daily, but staff are out there every morning cleaning it up. Beach itself is a little rocky, water socks a must. Not a great swimming beach, but the pool more than makes up for that. Snorkelling just ok. Cannot walk to town on beach because of port just to North. Can walk at least an hour to the south tho, only leaving the beach a couple of times a for a short distance.
Kitchen fully equipped, but could use a blender, wine glasses, and plastic tumblers for poolside. The table and chairs on the balcony were needing replacing badly. These all were mentioned in our review to Mayan Riviera Properties in our guests review of the condo.
Otherwise, the unit is large and airy. It has AC but we didn't use that since the ceiling fans and constant breeze kept it cool. MRP kept the drinking water supplied, and there is a small safe for valuables.
It is a 20 minute walk to town along a fairly busy road that has a limited shoulder. We rented bikes in town ($700 pesos a week each) to go back and forth. Most visitors at the complex used the taxis ($50 pesos no tip). We enjoyed the flexibility of the bikes, even tho overall it may have cost us more than taxi. Many condos in Puerto Morelos have a couple of bikes (usually basic old coaster bikes) that are free for the guest to use, including one of the units at Caribbean Reef (not #121). That would have been a nice feature.
The road into Caribbean Reef is in bad need of repair, and the driveway at the gate was flooded frequently after any rain. Cars could drive thru it , but had to walk in via the other side of the property. Not a huge issue , but come on!
Their communication cable was damaged prior to our arrival, and had not been repaired when we left so no WiFi. Worth asking!
