The building is older, and noise from the unit above was already noticeable, with the floors creaking during normal foot traffic. Earplugs were necessary from the start! On Saturday afternoon, the tenant in the unit above began sanding/refinishing their floors. The work continued until after midnight, and the noise was so loud that earplugs provided little relief. On Sunday, construction resumed before 7:00 a.m. I contacted Summit Mountain Rentals (SMR) for assistance. Later Sunday they explained that they did not manage the unit above and attempted to contact the HOA, but no one from the HOA returned their calls. The construction continued throughout Sunday. I again contacted SMR that afternoon, hoping to be moved to another unit to escape the noise. Unfortunately, I was told that no action could be taken until they were able to reach the HOA on Monday. The work persisted until after 10:00 p.m. On Monday morning, construction resumed before 7:00 a.m. Around noon Monday, SMR finally contacted me about moving units. However, we were not able to relocate due to work commitments. After nearly three days of disruption, the construction finally subsided, and I only had one night remaining in my stay. Throughout the experience, I received numerous apologies through calls and text messages, but no meaningful action was taken when it mattered most. The lack of responsiveness from the HOA/SMR and the inability to provide a timely solution resulted in a very disappointing stay!
