Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, those seeking a peaceful getaway and anyone with mobility issues. Candlelight Cabin is a great fit for everyone. Just minutes off the Mountain Parkway, our pet friendly cabin offers a serene retreat with convenient access to everything the Red River Gorge has to offer.
Our charming cabin features first floor king bedroom with onsuite. Second floor Queen bedroom with a set of bunk beds along with an onsuite. Unwind in the spaciuos living room with fireplace while enjoying a game or two of checkers. Prepare a hearty breakfast before those planned hikes or climbs in our fully stocked kitchen,
Watch the sunrise over the mountain from your private hot tub. Candlelight features a couple of different outdoor areas for relaxing and enjoying a meal. For dessert, make the prefect smore while sitting around the firepit.
You are just minutes away from all attractions, dinning and amazing arches.

We wanted relaxation and that's exactly what we got! We received a guide to the area from Les and Michelle prior to our arrival, which allowed us to plan on groceries en route to the cabin. Directions to the property and for entry were spot-on. We unpacked, it rained, and we didn't leave for 4 days. We had everything we needed to cook and grill our meals. We unapologetically raided the s'mores box. The wifi was great when we chose to be connected. They were very responsive to questions. We loved that there were outdoor fans to keep mosquitos at bay while we were in the hot tub (which was fabulous). We snuggled under thick, cozy blankets to watch movies. It was absolutely lovely.

Candlelight Cabin is amazing! The location was perfect. No stairs!! And believe me after seeing the stairs on the other cabins we appreciated it. The hot tub was clean and hot! The cabin is so cute! It was clean and well stocked especially with TP & paper towels! If you VRBO like I do you usually have to go buy. If we go back to the Red River Gorge area we will definitely book Candlelight Cabin again. The hosts are amazing.

Great family cabin!

The cabin was so nice, and it had all the necessities (towels, sheets, soaps, coffee!). The kids enjoyed the hot tub, and I enjoyed having a full kitchen, cold a/c, and washer/dryer. The location was perfect; close to everything. The host was a great communicator! The kiddos also loved that the host had a few board games available to play with.

Red River Gorge

Cabin was great. We had 5, 2 adults and 3 'kids' ages 10 to 16. It was comfortable for the 5 of us. Loved the outside table, esp for my coffee. Kids enjoyed the hot tub and the smores. Close enough to the gorge and hiking that you are not driving all day to get to things. Coffee bar was excellent and greatly appreciated. It was a fantastic place and the boys loved the gorge.

Winter wonderland

We love visiting the gorge in all seasons. Winter provide beauty in the icicles and snow covered landscape. This was the coldest we had experienced. The cabin walkway was snow and ice covered making it difficult to get gear into the house which we chose due to ease of access. The cabin was very clean and bed linens and towels were new. The kitchen was well stocked with4 days worth of ground coffee plus’s a selection of k-cups. Spices and cooking oil were provided. There were plenty of pots, pans and dishes. The dishwasher worked great as did the washer and dryer. Due to outside temps in the single digits the furnace could not keep up and the electric fireplace was not enough either. Cabin temps were 50 degrees in morning and never got above 60 even with extra space heaters. A downstairs bathrooms faucets froze rendering them useless. Thank goodness the host communications were great and the crew they sent out responded quickly. Overall we had a good stay given the circumstances and would stay again.

Great location with all the amenities

Short drive from Natural Bridge, close to restaurants & remotely tucked away. We’ve stayed before & were very pleased to return to find several upgrades. The jacuzzi, fire pit and Wi-Fi were great! Very clean, well stocked & the hosts were very thoughtful, responsive & accommodating.

Thanksgiving Trip

Our stay at candlelight was wonderful! The space was comfortable and had almost everything we needed. We especially loved the dog friendly accommodations like the leads by the fireplace, the deck gate, and dog bowls in the kitchen. It was very cold this week so the cabin was a little chilly, but plenty of blankets and the fireplace kept us cozy. Happy Thanksgiving!

Great location

Very nice cabin in an excellent location. Host was very responsive. We appreciate that pets were welcome. Red River Gorge is a hidden treasure, and this cabin is the perfect location to get the most out of a getaway trip.

Nice cabin close to the Gorge!

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was great for 4 people. The hot tub and deck areas were very nice. We enjoyed the fire pit as well. The cabin is in close proximity to everything "Gorge" related. We enjoyed the glow kayaking, the scenic drive, and several hikes.

Rest and Relaxation

Great place to stay! We loved the outside space as much as the inside. The Hot Tub after a day of hiking was outstanding. We drank coffee and caught up on reading and conversation on the table on the deck outside.

Awesome stay!!

Great property! I went there with my husband, sister and her husband. Plenty of space. Loved the fact that the two couches had double recliners so we all had our own recliner to watch TV. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking; we made our breakfasts and dinner on site. Plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. Nice large refrigerator to store food. Pet friendly! We brought our Golden Retriever and we loved the fact that the deck wrapped around the house and had a gate so we could let him on the deck with us and not worry about him running off. Also had tie-outs hooked between trees to let him out on a “dog run” to go potty. Had a nice outside sitting area on the deck with a ceiling fan. We ate out there quite a bit. Also spent time in the hot tub which had good space for four people. Loved the string lighting on the deck; allowed us to sit the hot tub at night with good ambient lighting. We didn’t use the fire pit but it looked great! Cabin had great amenities - plenty of toiletries, cleaning supplies. Very pleased with the stay; would recommend and stay again! Jennifer

Cozy, relaxing, atmosphere

Les and Michelle are great hosts. Basically all the comforts of home. Perfect for dogs, the deck is completely enclosed. Hot tub is nice. Right close to Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge. Very clean and has no stairs to get into the cabin. Very relaxing and homey. We will be coming back. Russ Hawkins

Our family has been enjoying all this area has to offer for more than 30 years. And after endless camping trips and day trips, we decided to purchase a place we could enjoy with our family, along with a place where others can make their own memories while visiting the Gorge. Fate found us Candlelight Cabin and we became the proud owners of her in the Spring of 2024.
Candlelight was an established rental already; we have just updated and added a few little details we thought our family and guests would enjoy.
Our hope is that everyone staying here will feel at home. Enjoy your stay at Candlelight and your time in this beautiful area of Kentucky.

Candlelight Cabin is in a great area of the Gorge. Not far from the parkway and only minutes from trails and climbing spots the Gorge has to offer. Our cabin is close to some of the best restaurants in the area.

Candlelight Cabin offers no stairs to access entrance into the cabin, with a king bedroom with attached bath on first floor. We are pet friendly and love to host fur babies along with ther humans. There are many different outside areas to enjoy nature. You can watch the sun rise over the mountains while enjoy the hot tub. In the evening, take advantage of the provided Smore's kit while sitting around the firepit. Candlelight is within minutes of the Nada Tunnel, Natural Bridge State Park and all the amazing trails and rock formations the Gorge is famous for. We are also just mintues away from some of the best rock climbing spots in area.
