Cozy cabin nestled beside a spring-fed pond&hobby farm in the Elkhorn Mountains

The Montana Experience. Located halfway between the towns of Helena and Townsend. The Cabin at Elkhorn Spring is set in the quaint and quiet corner of our 4H/hobby farm. We live in the adjacent home, but don't worry, with 6+ acres of ground, we may not even bump into each other. At the same time, if you need anything during your stay, we're right next door. This spring-fed pond-side retreat is a great place for a getaway or an excellent basecamp for your Montana excursions. The cabin property is fenced and offers large shade trees, fire pit, yard games, picnic table, and a lovely deck. The pond, Big Belt Mountains, large variety of songbirds, and incomparable sunrises and sunsets are just a few of the views that this property offers.

We are nestled in the Elkhorn mountains, an elk hunterā€™s paradise. Close to Canyon Ferry reservoir, hiking, biking & snowmobiling trails, and many more recreational opportunities await.

GUEST CAPACITY
We can accommodate up to 6 guests. 3 bedrooms, 1st has a Queen size bed, 2nd bedroom with 2 twin bunks, 3rd has a Queen size bed as well. One pack-n-play is available for guests.

A game room is located in the cabin and is furnished with a table, chairs, and several games.

PET POLICY
Dogs are welcome (2 maximum) but NOT ALLOWED on furniture or bedding! Please bring a crate if leaving fur baby during outings as well as for sleeping at night. Please, keep animals on leash to protect our farm animals. Owner is liable for any damages to the property caused by pets. Extra charge for pets will apply.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
There is parking for up to 2 vehicles. Please drive slow & be cautious driving in and out.

Onsite parties or group events are strictly prohibited. Large or small.

Strictly NO SMOKING inside OR outside.

Safety features at this property include a carbon monoxide detector, a fire extinguisher, a smoke detector, a first aid kit, and a deadbolt lock.

We are honored to share our little slice of paradise with you. Note that this property is separate, but located on our hobby farm acreage, where the white farmhouse serves as our primary residence. Please be respectful of this and reach out to us if you would like to visit the animals (goats, pigs, sheep, bees, etc.). Again, the entire cabin and the fenced property is all yours to enjoy!

While we provide locally roasted Keurig pods upon your arrival, let us know and we can have a bag of local, freshly roasted coffee beans from Galaxy Roasting available as well ($16).

Personal shopping - let us take care of getting the fridge, freezer and pantry stocked for you before your arrival. Just send us your shopping list! (25% up-charge).

We only had the opportunity to stay one night, but were so impressed that we have decided that is where we will be having our full vacation next year. It was clean, spacious, beautiful, and even had a game room.

This Cabin was Fantastic! I enjoyed it so much I immediately Booked for the next available weekend to take my wife to celebrate our Anniversary! Very Scenic, Loved the Geese & the Scenery, Very Comfortable, very Clean, loved the automatic propane fireplace controlled by thermostat. Good Wifi, and No close neighbors.

Quick stop

Comfortable, beautiful little retreat. So many special touches inside and out, help you feel at home. The pond and bonfire pit were our favorite! Especially after a long day of travel. This was the perfect place to unwind as a family and rest.

Better than we expected

The house is about 2 miles down a dirt road but personally I loved it! The sunsets and sunrises were absolutely amazing. Emily and Jonathan were really nice and helpful. And the house was honestly a lot better than we expected going into it. Really amazing trip!

Sweetest Cabin with an Awesome View!

The Host Couple was So Nice & Easy to work with! The cabin was in the neatest area up in the Foothills of some gorgeous mountains and very close to the Lake and had its very own Stream & Pond right off the giant Front Porch! The cabin was fantastically clean and came with the best local Coffee & great hot chocolate. It was fully furnished and came with a Full Kitchen with lots of kitchen accessories. We Loved the propane Fireplace & BBQ. The cabin was decorated recently and Very Tasteful & Comfortable! The full size Washer & Dryer were very convenient along with all the amenities from home. The Geese on the pond, Chickens (No Rooster), and other farm animals were neat to see.

Baseball trip and family time

We came to helena for baseball games for my nephew. It waa incredible to wake up to ducks in the pond and birds chirping. When we got home and hung out on porch we had kitties come sit on our lap and snuggle. Every moment at the vacation rental was so comfortable. As a housekeeper myself, I inspected the cleanliness of home top to bottom. It was super clean!! The bedding almost felt brand new crisp. The beds were all very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked! They even left us some farm fresh eggs which were beautiful! My partner and I talk about how nice it would be to come back just for a weekend getaway.
