An amazing opportunity at this beautiful property with a fantastic view of the waterfalls and easy access to your own private area on the Spring River! A very large yard with enough room for any yard game you could imagine. We have 2 bicycles for small children to enjoy too! Enjoy endless excitement whether it be waterfront fun, fishing, floating, yard games, park activities within walking distance, or a trip to the most unique shops downtown, including candy and ice cream, which is also within walking distance!
Your stay here will be unforgettable and I’m certain you will want to plan many more return trips! Very peaceful and relaxing whether you are sitting around the fire pit or just relaxing on the screened in porch as you watch the kayakers, canoes, and tube floaters risk the waterfalls.

Not the Stay We Needed During a Difficult Time

I had to book this reservation while en route to Arkansas after the sudden passing of my father. We were emotionally exhausted and just looking for a quiet, safe, and clean place to stay. Unfortunately, this property was not it. We checked in after dark and accidentally broke a decorative glass bowl placed under the light switch. I texted the owner to explain the situation, but to my shock, she later filed an insurance claim for theft. I’m a 51-year-old woman dealing with a family tragedy — the accusation was not only inappropriate, it was deeply upsetting. I’ve never even had a speeding ticket!!The house itself was disappointing. A flood had occurred two months prior, but the conditions made it feel like it had happened days before. It was musty and dirty underneath the home, we had to clean anything we wanted to sit on or use. The lights under the house didn’t work, making it dangerous to use the stairs at night. I ended up purchasing a solar light just to make it safe.To make matters worse, the neighbor’s four dogs roamed freely and barked excessively, especially under the house, which stressed us & my medical alert service dog.The decor felt overwhelming and chaotic,like TJ Maxx clearance section, packed with mismatched items and personal belongings that made it feel like we were intruding in someone’s private space. Shoes left at the stairs, family photos on display. I honestly questioned if we were even in the right place when we walked in. BUY THE INSURANCE!

Great rainy weekend

We had a blast and the property was more than accommodating! Unfortunately we had rain the entire time but i was able to squeeze in some fishing between downpours, and as with any travel, you cant control the weather! But the house and property was more than comfortable and the host provided a number of avenues to keep busy despite the rain! Great spot, neighbors were great, very relaxing and would happily book this place again. I spend a lot of time on the Spring river fishing and they have a great spot. Like everything in Hardy, its close to stores, shops and groceries so nothing is out of the way. It was sad to see some of my frequent spots in such disarray due to recent flooding but the owners had great games, fully furnished kitchen, great accessories for our kids, just a wonderful spot and they clearly know how to entertain all walks of life and ages. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great Stay

We had a group of 4 for a fishing trip to the Spring River. The property was perfect. Large concrete/patio area to relax after a day of fishing. Great screened in porch above. The host was extremely kind and communicated very well.

Getaway from hustle and bustle

Absolutely perfect. Rode to surrounding towns to shop, sight seeing. Hearty cabin in Hardy ar was the best I e ever stayed. Feet from the river, kayaks provides. Everything inside provided. Hostess was the best. Will definitely return

If you want the best, cleanest, right on the river. Quiet, beautiful decor, great hostess. Don’t pass this up. Pictures don’t do this place justice . It’s what I searched for years. No regrets

Best Ever

I’ve stayed in numerous VRBO homes, and this was by far the best ever. The host, Denise, was amazing. Her communication was very timely and informative. Her home was immaculate and very well appointed. Her kind and generous touch was everywhere throughout the property. The deck on the river is a dream. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect Location!

We had a wonderful stay at this property with our three adult children. The view from the porch was great and the location perfect. We sat out on the rock island the second full day at this property and utilized their single kayak and paddleboard. The only tricky part is crossing the small off-shoot. She said that her neighbor allows access to the river from their stairs, that made it much safer, but still swift. I highly recommend staying here!

The Spring River is absolutely breathtaking! As you sit at the picnic area, coffee area, on the screened in porch, or anywhere else on our property, I assure you the most enjoyable, relaxing time of your life! It is just beautiful and if you’re lucky enough to see “Blue,” then you’re lucky! “Blue” is the Blue Heron that frequents the Rock Island you have access to so he can enjoy a fish or two for dinner!

The tranquility and peace you feel as you share family gatherings is my most enjoyed time here at the “Hearty Home!”
I also have just discovered a “Hearty Wall” that I invite you to be a part of! Just paint a heart shape on a rock, or draw a heart, or purchase a heart at the local downtown shops, share your story, and I will post it on the “Hearty Wall” on the front porch!
