This property is a cute little cottage with style and comfort. It has been
designed for fun and enjoyment with a little flair from the
owner's love of nature and African animals.

It feels like you are viewing the valley and mountaintops from the treetops. Its cozy for your comfort but with a BIG feel......we hope you enjoy staying there as much as we had designing it.

See you soon. Please note availability is only June 1st through October 31. Come relax in the cool summer mountains.

Most incredible / tranquil / unique accommodating.

Beautiful, unique, tranquila, comforting and comfortable, hosts were unbelievably accommodating.. property was beautiful, the African theme was beautiful! Loved all the birds and nature and the serenity! That's very comfortable and shower is incredible! Everything you needed even though you didn't need it! Hoorah! So impressed and so inviting and wish I could go again!

We had a wonderful stay, beautiful location! The cabin had everything we needed for our week long stay. The hosts were very kind and responsive. Definitely recommend staying here.

Come Prepared.

This is a nice place. Here are some things to make your stay better. The toilet is not ADA (so it is lower). The shower is walk in (no tub). There is not a dish washer, nor a washer/dryer. No air conditioning, but there are fans. I suggest that you bring your own coffee, creamer, and silverware. These items in no way detract from the cabin. We liked the view and the location. The driveway was a little rough, probably due to all the rain. Lots of deer and one visit from a bear. Chip monks (ground squirrels to some) are everywhere. Use the birdseed; birds actually ate out of the bowl while I was holding it. Definitely drive the loop, the views are amazing. One other thing, the owners live behind the cabin. Cleaning costs are lower than a lot of places. I will stay again.

Absolutely Wonderful!

Judith and Richard are the best hosts! The attention to detail was wonderful, and the views were spectacular! The cabin was everything that was advertised and more! We saw various forms of wildlife every morning from the raised deck as we had our coffee, including a beautiful fox, and 7 deer that wandered only a few feet away! We definitely plan to return some day!

A Slice of Heaven

The cottage was cute and cozy. It was very clean and had all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. Bailey, CO is a small, homey place to stay. Centrally located from Denver, Colorado Springs and hiking. Fantastic nature, sunset and mountain views from the porch, we saw many birds, mule deer and a coyote had a nightly path he liked to take. He was far enough away for safety, but close enough to be an amazing sight. Judith and Richard are the best hosts. Helpful yet gave us our privacy at the same time. Check in and check out couldn't have been easier. We will be back if they will have us. Thank you for your awesome hospitality! Cynthia and Jim K.

Get Away From It All!

This was a four-night stay in the middle of a month-long road trip. The Perfect place to stop, rest and take leave of the rush. Hosts were next door and very pleasant. We’ll be back to Bailey, CO! Thank you!!! Martin

Cute super cozy place

I a beautiful wooded area with lots of visits from the deer every day. Bedroom is in a room off of the rest of the house with great windows and views. Nice kitchen and bathroom. Really enjoyed it - nice hosts.

Beautiful cottage & amazing location

What an amazing cottage in such a amazing town. Our second year in row visiting Bailey, and we had an amazing time visiting other towns that I had always wanted to go to plus hiking this beautiful area. Having a beautiful place to come back to made it a HUGE plus! The owners are so amazing we took off on a unexpected trip, and were gone longer than expected and checked in on us. So nice. I felt bad not reaching out afterwards too. They were extremely kind and friendly, and always willing to offer and assistance. We will definitely be going back!! Thank you Judith and Richard

Our Stay in the Tucan House

Overall very positive. Adorable little house in a beautiful setting. There are some lovely places to visit close by including Guanella Pass and Georgetown.

Great mountain cottage

My wife and stayed 5 nights at the cabin and rank it it as one of our most relaxing trips we’ve had! The deck is the highlight of the house. We had coffee every morning and wine or drinks every evening. The view and the birds allow for hours of enjoyment. We also ate every meal on the deck, breakfast in the morning and grilled steaks, chicken and burgers for dinner. It was outstanding. I had business in Denver one of the days, and the drive was less than an hour. Staying here and driving in was way better than a hotel in the city and driving out for excursions. Judith and Rick are fabulous host. Check in/out was the easiest I’ve ever had. They met us on the first day and gave us a few ideas of things to do that were very helpful. We saw deer several times and really had the feeling of being out in mountains. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Colorado.

Excellent property and owners

We reallt enjoyed this location. Not too far from Denver and close to many great parks and local gems. The owners were very helpful and kind. We would reccomend staying here!

Fabulous cozy little nest!

My husband and I had the best time at the Tucan Guest Cottage. It is perfect for two people. So quaint, quiet, clean, and comfortable! We used this as our landing spot for a week of adventuring around Colorado. It's about an hour from the airport and only 30 minutes to Red Rocks, where we enjoyed two concerts. The 1.5-hour drive from the cottage up Hwy 67 to Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, and Pikes Peak was simply stunning. Another beautiful drive took us from the cottage up Hwy 70 to Breckenridge, Georgetown, and over the Guanella Pass. Unbelievable! There's no WiFi and spotty cell coverage, which in my opinion is perfect for when you really want to escape reality. The King Soopers in Aspen Park was a great place to grab groceries on the way in from the airport, and the laundromat in Bailey is nice and clean and super convenient. Judith and Richard have a true gift for hospitality. Such gracious and welcoming hosts. Thank you!
