Summer Cottage on Beautiful Mullett Lake, Saturday-Saturday bookings.

Our cottage shares 80 feet of frontage with one other cottage, on the west side of Mullet Lake and is easily accessible from I-75, to M-27 and down Sunrise Lane, a private drive. The cottage is well equipped with an open kitchen and living room, two bedrooms, a sleeping loft and bathroom with a shower stall. The cottage is on the calm side of the lake for prime boating. No boat? Rentals are available at the Mullett Lake Marina 2 miles north next to the DNR boat launch. Less than a block from your door is the Rails to Trails path for walking, running or biking. On the trail you can ride to Mackinaw City 20 miles north or connect to many other towns and cites via the trail system in northern Michigan. Enjoy your meals looking out at the lake from the screened porch or cement patio with a picnic table. Just under a mile away is the Village Store where pizzas and other carry outs are available. Grocery and department stores are in Cheboygan seven miles away.


The cottage is on a private drive making a quiet setting. This is a great location for a single family looking for a clean and relaxing cottage get away. There are activities available to keep you as busy as you want or you can just relax in the swing by the shore. The cottage is not meant to be a reunion site for relatives to visit with trailers or RV's. Please be respectful of our neighbors.

Well appointed, clean cabin with easy lake access. Great location to hiking/ biking trail, area restaurants and activities. Managers were friendly, very helpful and accessible. Boat hoist included for private boat if needed.

Kevin and Jan go above and beyond in every category. We loved our stay and hope to return next year. Mullett lake is a beautiful setting. Theres so much to do in the area. Our whole time there was everything we could have hoped for. Thank you Kevin and Jan.

Slice of Heaven

Traditional cottage with screened in porch. Quant, comfortable and clean. Pictures are accurate. Jan and Kevin are excellent hosts; they are committed to making sure you have a wonderful stay. Kayaks and bikes are provided. Lake is warm with sandy bottom, and shallow towards the shoreline for swimming and kayaking. Diverse places to eat within 30 miles. Walked on the north trail which goes around the lake. Wonderful relaxing stay for my sister and me.

Kevin & Janet Are The Consumate Hosts!

This is my second stay at this VRBO and I must say it met all my expectations just as it did the first time. The cabin is clean as a pin, in great condition, and well-appointed. The beds are very comfortable and the hot water is plentiful.The location is right on Mullett Lake with dock space equipped with boat and personal watercraft lifts, and is convenient to Cheboygan, Indian River, Mackinaw City, and Mackinac Island. Lake Huron is a short trip by boat via the river. The cabin has a private drive with flowers all around and a hummingbird feeder. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Kevin and Janet are fantastic people and the consumate hosts. You can't go wrong if their cabin fits your needs. We will be back again next summer!

Hidden Gem On Mullett Lake

Kevin and Jan are great hosts! You won't find nicer people. They also have a wealth of knowledge about Michigan. The cabin is quaint and homey, clean as a pin, and well equipped. The location is on the calm side of the lake and convenient to many U-P and northern Michigan destinations. We will definitely return!

We were so comfortable during our stay. Kevin and Jan are the best hosts. Kevin made sure that we had everything we needed to keep our boat at the property. It was so easy to take it out and tour the chain of lakes. The property is beautiful with many flowers that attract hummingbirds.The hiking and biking path near by was especially nice. I really recommend this place for a couple’s get away. We hope to come back in the future.

Great location for a quiet lake vacation

We went to Mullett Lake to visit family and Kevin's cottage was in the perfect vicinity. Very easy to locate and very close to our family's dock. Kevin even offered his personal dock if we were bringing a boat and told us we could use his dock during our stay. Kevin greeted us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. Beautiful cottage on a beautiful lake!

Excellent Week!

Great location! Great time at the cottage. Owners met us upon arrival and walked us through the amenities. Cabin was clean and included everything you need for a relaxing stay on the lake. If we are ever back in the area we would stay here again.

Lovely vacation rental on a beautiful lake

The cottage is very clean, tidy and is furnished with everything you need. We were there for a full week in July and took advantage of the beautiful lake many days. Great location for visiting Mackinaw and the UP. Hosts are exceptional and we appreciated their hospitality very much. Hope to book next July.

Great vacation get away!

Clean, comfortable, and as described, in some cases even better. Cottage was very cozy and clean. Kevin and Jan were very helpful in seeing that we were comfortable and were able to use the boat hoist safely. Thank you Kevin and Jan for all the help with my boat. Mullet lake is an ideal boating lake and the boat hoist is a major benefit to keeping your boat on the lake! Area has many things to do for a variety of interest. Highly recommend and would stay their again.

Perfect get away

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property. Kevin was quick to answer all my questions/requests. We did a lot of biking on the trail adjacent to the property. I enjoyed an afternoon kayaking (supplied by Kevin) around the lake. There is a swing right along with water which was a great place to decompress. And clean....the property was very clean and well stocked as others have noted. Thank you for sharing this gem with us!

Nice 4th of July Week

We had a very nice time in the cottage for the week. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed the screened in porch and looking out at the lake. Kevin and Jan are wonderful hosts and we hope we will see them again.

Week long fishing trip.

Felt welcome the moment we arrived. Host was there to greet us right away. Everything we could think of was provided and more. A beautiful property right on the georgiuos lake. Cabin was clean and very nice. We had a great time and look forward to going back someday.

So nice!

Such a cute cabin! Seriously stocked with everything possible. The screened porch is AWESOME, and they also have a picnic table outside and a grill. Kevin & Jan let us use their kayaks as well - the cabin is very close to the water. The cabin fit a family of four (2 adults, an 8 and a 3 year old) just fine. Kevin & Jan were better hosts than we could’ve ever even asked for. Seriously, I wish they could just magically own every property we stay at, hahaha. They are so nice and thoughtful and absolutely will go out of their way to accommodate you. They were also super sweet with our kids. Hoping if we head back to Cheboygan we can stay with them again, thank you guys!

Amazing adventures!

We had a very wonderful stay! Kevin personally met us out on the main road to help direct us in. He had a lot of information about the area and was very friendly and helpful. He even jumped in the water to help us secure our boat when it broke loose during a storm! The house was very clean, not a spec of dust to be found! We truly felt comfortable and welcome. They offered a boat lift for smaller boats, we used the mooring bout to tie up our pontoon. Plenty of parking for the trailer, very close to walking trail and short drive away from Mackinaw City. Thank you for many fond memories 😊

What a great place!

This is a great cottage on a beautiful lake! It is fully stocked and very clean. We had a great time on our visit. We came with a boat so the hoist and dock were very helpful. Kevin was around to answer all our questions and give us suggestions. We were able to do day trips to all the great cities around the cottage and still had time to go on the boat each day. It was an awesome way to end our summer and will for sure think of this place again.

Jan and Kevin are both retired. We love the lake and the great variety of northern Michigan activities. Our children are grown and usually get to visit once during the summer usually for a long weekend.

We want you to have a great stay at the cottage and will help as little or as much as you want. Consider the shore yours.

Our vacation rental was part of a three cottage rental 'resort' prior to 1994. One cottage stayed a rental, one cottage became our summer home and the third cottage became a neighbors garage and moved off the property. We love it here.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

All of our neighbors are great. We get along well, keep our properties up and are respectful of each others privacy. Easy to reach from the expressway and quick to run into town or the corner store for ice cream, pizza or eggs you just ran out of!
