Nestled on 27 very private wooded acres with a one-acre pond and private walking trails, The Pond in the Pines Cabin is a nature lover's dream. Catch and release fish from our beautiful pond from the bank or use our small rowboat or paddle board. Guests assume all risk when exploring our property and pond. The star gazing is UNREAL with almost no artificial light! Within 15 to 20 minutes of Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Lake Hope State Park and many other attractions including the haunted Moonville tunnel. The cabin has privacy and a central location to Hocking, Vinton and Athens County. Feeling like a glass of wine and some food? We are 2 miles from the Le Petit Chevalier Vinyards! Traveling with an infant/toddler? We provide a full-size portable crib! The great room has a 60-inch smart TV with HDMI Cord and a Nintendo Switch. We are one of the few cabins in the area that has great cell service and WIFI. If you are traveling with your well-behaved canine companion we provide bowls, an indoor bed and a cot on the deck. Dogs only please with a $50 fee per stay, with a 2 dog maximum.

It was simply amazing! This will be our fourth year coming to Hocking Hills and by far the BEST accommodations we have experienced. Our pups came with us to and it was so very special to see dog bowls & beds all ready for them when we walked into the cabin. The trails on the property were beautiful! Communication with the host was perfect. We had not one issue or complaint during our stay. There is no doubt in our mind that we will come back here on our next stay and the stays after that. We so appreciate everything the hosts did to make their cabin a home away from home for us.

We returned to Pond in the Pines cabin to celebrate a birthday and fall break recently. Another amazing stay that exceeded our expectations once again! We were greeted by a super clean and stocked cabin with thoughtful birthday treats from Traci (owner). I staff by my review from last year, all you need to bring is the people and foodā€¦everything else is provided! We enjoyed fishing, hiking/exploring the property and off (we did 3 new to us hikes around the state park and forest this year), bonfires and a movies inside on a rain day. Soooo relaxing, we canā€™t wait to return again next fall!

Wonderful Place!

We had such a relaxing time and enjoyed this property so much. We loved going out to the pond in the evenings to sit and listen to the birds. The house was well stocked with everything you could possibly need and was super clean. Can't wait to come back!!

Wonderful stay

The cabin was clean and well stocked - everything we needed for an enjoyable, relaxing stay was available. We enjoyed the trail and relaxing by the pond and it was only a 20 minute drive to Ash Cove in Hocking Hills State Park. Traci was very easy to reach when we had questions. Lovely cabin and location.

This is a wonderful home. My daughter's is attending OU in the fall and we stayed at this property during her orientation. This is an amazing home within the Hocking Hills area. Wonderful amenities and the perfect size for our family of 5. If you are traveling with dogs i highly recommend. Traci provided leashes, tie outs, and beds. The hosts were extremely accommodating and provided excellent communication both prior to and during our stay!!

Perfect get away

We spent spring break with our 4 school age children and this property was perfect! The home was so charming and CLEAN! The pond on the property was breathtaking and our favorite place to hang out. The extra accommodations like life vests, toys, tables for evenings around the fire, and so many more well thought out details were appreciated and enjoyed! Great place for families or a few adult couples to get away! Highly recommend!

Great place!

What a great place to stay. The owners have thought of everything. The house is clean and comfortable. The property is huge, and really provides a sense of getting away from it all. The pond is full of fish and makes for an enjoyable fishing experience. We would definitely stay there again!

Private and Convenient

The property and house were both beautiful. It was wonderful not having to worry about bringing a ton of baby stuff since the house had it all (especially the big ticket items). The owners were very easy to contact and quick to respond. We all had an amazing time there!

This place is not only gorgeous but absolute serenity. If you are looking to relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoor this is just the place for you. Our family had an amazing time and will definitely be back!! Can't wait to book our next trip to this little piece of heaven. Serene getaway, very relaxing!

Great property and home

We enjoyed our stay immensely! So much so that we ended up cooking at the home rather than going out to eat. Pond in the Pines Cabin sits on a beautiful property with fun trails to explore and the pond to enjoy. The home is truly beautiful with many nice touches, very clean, and very relaxing! Sister's Birthday Get Away

We enjoyed our stay at POND IN THE PINES CABIN! The host has done a fabulous job in decor and ambiance at the cabin that made it feel like home away from home. Views are beautiful, and hiking paths to the pond were enjoyable to walk. The house is well stocked with items you may need, very clean and beds were comfortable. We felt very secure at the location. Would recommend this cabin to anyone who seeks peace and guiet and to enjoy nature. This would be a good place for families with children who would like to give them an experience with nature. My husband grew up in the Hocking Hills area and we always knew we wanted to eventually own a little slice of heaven there. The natural beauty of the area, along with the the incredible rock formations, caves and waterfalls is truly amazing. It is truly one of the most undisturbed areas in Ohio. When we found the right property, we had to take a leap of faith and buy it. We hope you love it as much as we do!
