Waterfront vacation home with breathtaking views. Sleeps 10, family suite + 3 bedrooms and two full baths.
Open room with High ceilings, large windows, and an open floor plan contribute to a bright and airy ambiance. No matter where you choose to sit, you'll always be connected to the waterfront scenery on the open water connected to Chesapeake bay.This newly remodeled, kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment needed to make a meal or you can grill out on deck with a large Webber Grill. bring your favorite food and beverages and you'll be good to go.

On the contemporary Deck you feel peaceful with stunning water views & large trees with singing birds or possibly Eagles as you enjoy morning coffee. For your enjoyment a Webber gas grill, patio furniture and porch swing are available to enjoy!

When you're ready to venture outside there is a fire pit in the front yard.fire wood available for an additional fee

Our private dock has small beach at low tide to enjoy swimming, fishing, or docking your boat, kayak,JetSki or paddle boards. Welcome to use the 2 kayaks on property at own risk.Renters are required to bring life jackets as they are required by law)

Only five miles away you'll find Betterton Beach, where kids and families can enjoy a
5.2-acre waterfront park with sandy beach, 2 pickleball courts,basketball, baseball, bathhouse,Picnic Pavilion, playground all in Betterton area with gorgeous sunsets at the beach.

Chestertown is another area to visit with grocery stores. Be sure to visit historical downtown with locally owned restaurants & shops.

Still Water Waterfront Home

The house is absolutely gorgeous and fit our trip perfectly. The view out the back of the house is stunning and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Each year our family and our bestie’s family travel to a location with water activities. The house was spacious enough for 10 of us.We spent a long weekend enjoying the various activities that the area has to offer; paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, crabbing, and beaching! Some things to be aware of that are not mentioned in the listing:1) There are cameras all over the property outside.2) There are 50 stairs to the dock.3) You need to bring all bed linens and towels.4) Plan to spend the last day before check out cleaning the house to return it to how clean it was when you arrived despite paying a cleaning fee.If you don’t mind the items above, definitely book the house. It’s a great location!

Loretta is super sweet and helpful! The home is nice and clean, the neighborhood is Eastern Shore perfect, although the family/living room would benefit from some newer furniture. TV/clicker instructions and access to the Fire Stick could have been a little easier. The floating dock is sooo helpful for the tide changes! One last comment, it is 50 stairs, not steps, to the waterfront. Please make that clearer in the house description as the climb can be tough, limiting and impacting access to and from the house for regular waterfront use.

Fabulous weekend on the bay

The properly is in great shape, clean and well provisioned. The flat back yard is perfect for yard games and when the tide is low, there a little private beach! The kids played in the sand and floated around Still Pound Creek all weekend. Loretta was an excellent host!

One of the best homes we've stayed in

This was a great home to host our family vacation this year. First, the host was very communicative and called after we booked to give us a bunch of tips about the area and how to make the best of our stay. She was fantastic to work with and book with. I even made a mistake in the booking and she helped me correct it.The house was well maintained and very clean. The yard and fire pit were very nice and also maintained. The stairs down to the waterfront were very well maintained and lighted which was nice for some night time fishing.Fishing was fun just from the dock, a few white perch, spot, and bluegill but there was plenty more further out. Lots of big fish jumping we just didn't have time to get to them. 5 Stars, 10/10. Would stay again!

Still Pond Maryland - family getaway

The house and location on Still Pond Maryland was great!! House was clean and tiddy. Caught perch, catfish and bass off their dock!! Area is beautiful and quiet!

Great stay all around

In the area for a wedding. This was a great place for the family to gather in between events. Communication with the owners is top notch. We highly recommend it.

A Truly Mesmerizing Property in Chesapeake Bay

We had a group of three families ranging from 4 year old to 40 year old. Everyone had such an amazing time. This property was very well maintained and functional. The host were very responsive. If you are looking for a weekend gateway in the Chesapeake bay, I highly recommend this property. You won’t regret!

Serene waterfront getaway

Beautiful property, right on the water and in the woods, private except the one house next door made for a relaxing getaway! Open living room and deck were very inviting and comfortable; plenty of bedrooms and space. We were surprised to be asked to bring so many disposables from home (toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, etc) but needn't have worried as the house was well stocked. Note it clearly is a house that allows dogs as there were hairs throughout, in case that's an issue for people especially with allergies.

Family vacation

We had perfect weather so we spent most of our time in the water. Location was ideal. The stairs to the water were unexpected but good exercise. We left 4stars for cleanliness because of a lot of dog hair and leaves. Overall great time!

Great guys fishing weekend on the bay

Loretta’s place was a perfect mountain house stay on the bay. We enjoyed the comfy spacious home and deck. We had a blast fishing and hanging out on the little beach. We also enjoyed hanging out by the fire pit swapping old stories. All in great location and place!

Great space!

This house is a great size for a family vacation and is very well maintained, both inside and outside. The location provides easy access to small towns and the bay. The owner is very personable, providing dining recommendations, and sharing some nice background about the place as a family vacation home. One comment I will make is that there is video surveillance of the entire yard. This is, of course, the owner's right and it was put into place for good reason. However, we did not know about this ahead of time. The only reason we found out was when we broke a rule (arriving with two dogs instead of one - which I did compensate the owner for) - the owner texted me. She had watched us arrive on her video. For the remainder of our stay, we had no idea when she might be randomly checking on us. A bit disconcerting.

Fun Waterfront Trip Midway For VA and NY Families

Our 2 families with 4 adults and 4 kids ages 3-8 had a great time. The little beach was perfect for sand play, the swing was gleeful, the kayaking was peaceful and the indoor space great for games. Great meeting point for one VA family and one NY family. Have to bring your own sheets and towels, but the kitchen was stocked with great cooking supplies (according to the cook in the group). Nice games and toys for the kids. Great view. Felt like a tree house with air conditioning. The water was shallow and felt very safe for the kids to swim around in. A little mucky / shallow for adult swimming even far from the dock but not too bad. The kids had no problem with the steep steps to the water. Betterton Beach nearby was also lovely. Really great swimming there. And biking around the neighborhood was charming. Definitely mosquitoes and bees and hornets all over which was expected, but the house had benadryl spray, etc in case. No cases for us thankfully. The house owners were lovely and available as needed quite wonderfully. The kids and dads loved their nearby local ice cream excursion while us moms (pals for the last 23 years) took a quiet moment to catch up. 4 day trip success! ...if only there were magic there to help with a 3.5 year old at bedtime.

Lake House Getaway

Overall a beautiful, serene experience. We enjoyed a multitude of activities on the water including kayaking, boating, swimming, and fishing. Cute little beach area with a large dock for fishing. Peaceful with no disturbances from neighbors or other noises. What a wonderful getaway for a large family! Plenty of space for our family of 8(plus an infant.)

Great Place to Stay

The 6 of us loved staying at the Lake house and would definitely stay here again. The location was perfect for us and Loretta & Ty are excellent hosts. They are great at communication, very friendly and helpful. The house is clean, spacious and very welcoming. Starting our day with a cup of coffee on the deck, overlooking the water, boating all day, and coming home and enjoying the firepit was amazing and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Fishing trip.

The house was spacious and clean and the hosts were excellent to work with. Kitchen was stocked with cookware and had everything we needed. The outside area was great for entertaining and the fishing was excellent. We caught many huge catfish and a few bass. The steps down to the water could prove challenging for some people, but my friend Justin is strong and was able to carry our kayaks down with ease. I would recommend this house for a quiet get away, or a fishing trip with da Boyz.

Thanksgiving Meet Up for Two Families

We had a lovely stay at this lakehouse. The bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen is well stocked and the home is cozy and well organized. Our family took advantage of the large yard, swing, fire pit and the games and cards they had for inside play. The host was communicative and we felt very at home. Highly recommend!

We love this neighborhood because it's quiet, serene and safe. It's the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life and there's so much to do! Try boating, fishing, crabbing, biking, sunbathing on the private dock or just sitting back and taking in the amazing views. Our dock is a great spot to watch the sunset. There is also a small beach 10 minutes from our house called Betterton Beach & a perfect beach for younger children & a Lovely place to watch Sunsets too.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Still Pond Creek is connected to the Chesapeake Bay for easy access to the largest estuary in the world! The 'creek' is a smaller, protected body of water with no jellyfish, which makes for fantastic for kayaking, water skiing, tubing, fishing, etc. If you have a boat, you can tie it up to our floating dock right on the property!

There are many shops, antique stores, art galleries and restaurants to explore in Chestertown and Rock Hall. Both are within 15 miles and fantastic areas to visit.
