Welcome to our 2600 square foot vacation home in the Phoenix west valley. You'll be captivated by the area's small town southwestern charm, over 40 parks nearby, pedestrian friendly center and multitude of activities.

Everything you'll need for a memorable vacation is a short 7 minute or less walk away: A championship golf course featuring unsurpassed views of the mountains and Phoenix, several community pools, state of the art fitness center/gym, 4 restaurants, grocery store, drug store, children's playgrounds, pickleball, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts.

The home will accommodate up to 10 guests in comfort. The patio boasts its own private spa/hot tub where you can enjoy your favorite beverage after sharing a meal with friends/family prepared on the built in gas BBQ. The kitchen is well equipped with stainless steel appliances, gas stove, large fridge and everything you need to prepare delicious meals, or alternatively, enjoy one of the 4 restaurants that are a short walk from the house.

How about challenging your friends on the 8' x 4' slate pool table or the ping pong table. Active guests will enjoy the more than 25 miles of bike trails (paved and unpaved) that begin outside your door using the 4 bicycles that are available for guest use.

Verrado House

This was our second stay at the Verrado House for a guys golf trip. The house has everything you need to make it just like home. We made a few meals with supplies from the local market( excellent UDSA meat). The hot tub was a must for the group and was clean a ready to go the minute we checked in. The views of the surrounding Tank Mountains, the golf course 2 steps away and the quietness of the community make it a great place to unwind. I even went for a little bike ride around the neighborhood. Henry is always quick to respond and excellent to deal with.

Beautiful Home

When my friends and I arrived at the house, we were amazed at how beautiful and spacious it was. Every room is large, very modern, and so comfortable! The master bedroom is amazing!! We enjoyed the use of the bikes to explore the neighbourhood and the many bike paths. It took us less than 10 minutes to walk to Verrado for groceries and dinner. Sitting out on the patio, BBQing, and star gazing at night was so peaceful. The neighbourhood was also beautiful and very quiet. The owner was very accommodating and everything you could possibly need was in the house. Though Verrado is very handy to I10, it is a bit out of the way from the main cities, therefore, you should allow for that when planning your site seeing trips. Thank you so much for a wonderful place to spend our Arizona vacation!

2013 winter get-a-way

my wife and i stayed in the slama's home for 3 months to get away from the cold nebraska winter. we had a great stay. the home, with 4 bedrooms, was just right for us when the kids and grandkids came for a visit. the house if very modern and clean. the appliances were very good except the dishwasher did not work well at all (owner was informed and hopefully will take care of that problem) the furniture was comfortable with 2 big tv's (only wish there was one in the master bedroom) master bedroom was large with very nice master bath and walk in closet. we loved the back patio, with the built in grill & small refrig, hot tub and dining table for 6. the location was perfect for me (a so-called golfer) as it was just a short walk to the raven golf course and practice facility (which a non-member can use anytime by just purchasing a $10 bag of practice balls) the driving range is excellent and huge, so u can actually hit off grass most of the time. the 3 close resturants were excellent, especially the verrado grill (happy hour) and the wine/pizzaria downtown. we used the workout facility a lot and the pool a few times (they have changed the rules on renters usage, so make sure you understand those new rules) all in all, a very good stay, and we would rent this house again..

Pre-holiday Getaway

My boyfriend and I rented the house for a week while he was in Phoenix on business. We both travel CONSTANTLY for work and wanted something other than the usual hotel stay for this trip. We wanted was a place we could catch up on TV, watch a few movies, spend a little time outdoors, and cook some decent meals. This house was perfect for what we were looking for. The kitchen is well equipped and we really enjoyed using the grill. It was a little too cold for eating outside, but the patio area would have been a wonderful place to sit back and enjoy the evening. Instead, we kicked back in the living room. The large TV and comfy couches were great! The rental process went very smoothly and we were given plenty of clear instructions for house's amenities. We felt incredibly comfortable from the first night through the last. The small community where the house is located is very charming. The weather was just warm enough for jogging and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the paths that wound around the neighborhoods and golf course. The grocery store, coffee shop, and bank were very conveniently located. The only downside is the drive to the nearest movie theater/shopping/dining area was a little longer than we had hoped, about 15 miles. We made this drive every day and it got a little old. There ARE a few restaurants right in the little community which we could have gone to, but we were set on seeing a few movies while we were there. Overall, we had a fantastic stay. The house was comfortable and there was plenty to do to keep us busy. For the price we payed, it was a GREAT deal. We will certainly consider returning to this rental property if we find ourselves in the area again.

An Enjoyable Break from the Rain

Our family of 5 recently spent a week at this location and had a wonderful time. We have stayed in several other VRBO properties but this one is, by far, the most comfortable, well equipped, well-maintained property that we have rented. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials (including a rice cooker!) and the beds have top of the line, super comfy mattresses. The master bedroom is VERY large and includes an ensuite that you will miss when you leave. The three other bedrooms were smaller but also very comfortable with lots of closet/drawer space. The Wii is great for keeping kids amused and the larger TV off the kitchen can be used for TV watching or playing one of the many music channels available. The neighbourhood of Verrado has a well-stocked grocery store (Basha's) but there are also a Safeway and Wal-Mart within a short driving distance so you are not restricted to the one store. There are several shopping areas in the area especially on McDowell Road. We used the two pools and large, well-equipped gym several times for only $50 for the week for all of us. The area is very quiet with little road traffic and anyone passing you on the street is sure to greet you with a friendly hello. This property is also located close to White Tank Mountain Regional Park (about 30 minute drive) which we enjoyed one afternoon and it is about a 50 minute drive to downtown Scottsdale which we enjoyed one day as well. We aren't big golfers but the Raven Golf Club is mere minutes from the house by foot. We did enjoy a delicious dinner at their restaurant one night. We can also recommend Grazie's which is the local Italian eatery and the coffee bar also has a restaurant that serves great burgers and a variety of beer. We enjoyed our stay in Verrado very much and hope to go back for another stay. We would not hesitate to recommend it to friends.

Nice home in good neighborhood

The home is spacious with 4 bedrooms. It’s within walking distance to golf and the town center. The hot tub was not operational during our stay, and the first night the fire alarms went off at 4am. We had to call the fire department who said there was something wrong with the system. Otherwise, our stay was fine.

Guy Golf Stay

Outstanding home, plenty of room for all 7 of us. Super close to 2 outstanding golf courses. Nice neighborhood. quaint downtown with a grocery store, restaurants and coffee shop.

Beautiful House with great hot tub . Big bedrooms and really nice well stocked kitchen.

This is a great place in the center of town. Close to restaurants and Grocery store . It was a perfect starting point for all the activities we had planned for the week. Definetly will plan to stay again next year if I get the chance

wonderful home with everything you need for a great vacation

This is a very spacious home. Huge master bedroom and 3 other large bedrooms. has a wonderful patio with hot tub and large pool table /ping pong table in family room. Kitchen was very well equipped. the location in Verrado within walking distance to groceries, restaurants and pharmacy is perfect. Short drive to 5 Spring Training fields. Desert trails just out the front door. we even used the bikes that are supplied. only problem was the hard water. we ended up doing the dishes by hand. would recommend this home highly

Comfortable escape

We Loved Every Aspect

We loved everything about the house, the way it was equipped and the furnishings. I was initially attracted by the pool table but as it turned out, my adult sons and I played more on the ping-pong (table tennis) topper. A week went by much too quickly. We never had a need to contact Henry during our stay because with the handout he sent us, everything was explained very well and as expected. We have talked about retiring to the Phoenix area, but my wife is not too keen on desert landscapes. We have both spent our entire lives in Illinois but she fell in love with Verrado after she saw how lush and green it was. We also felt a strong sense of community. Everyone we saw was very approachable and happy to chat for a bit. Verrado is now at the top of my list of potential retirement locations and perhaps the only one on my wife's list.

The property was very well kept and inviting with plenty of activities available

Our stay was very nice and we were grateful that the host accomodated our error in the booking process. Everything was as advertised and we took full advantage of the ammenities. A very quiet and relaxing few days! Loved it.

The area was nice, it was quiet, with great afternoon sun on the patio. The interior of the house is dark which creates a depressing environment. Had to do a bit of cleaning up in the kitchen, on the patio, and the garage when we arrived. Cushions for outdoor furniture need a good cleaning or replacing. Pebble floor in master shower hurts your feet! Did not use outdoor grill or hot tub or community pool.

Amazing Getaway

We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The house is perfect with everything we needed for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of space, ping pong, video games, great kitchen, huge TV for watching football. The surrounding area is also fantastic. Easy walk to the golf club for lunch. Easy walk to the grocery store (amazing selection and service), drug store and the heated pool. Our kids had a blast and we had everything we needed. LOVED the daily walks all around the area and the people were tremendously friendly and helpful. The outdoor patio on the property is lovely. We did not use the hot tub, but it was all set up and ready to go. We will be using it for sure next time. We actually started calling the place "Pleasantville" we were so content and pleased with it. Directions for accessing the property were sent well in advance and we did not have one issue our concern. Recommend this house and this area very highly!

Fantastic home

Buckeye is perfect if you want a nice quiet place to enjoy the sun and warm weather. We enjoyed riding the bikes that were provided with this rental. Arizona State's stadium is about 40 minutes from this rental, but the Cardinals stadium was only about 20 minutes. But I liked being out of the city and having a nice spacious home to stay in as opposed to a small hotel room. Henry was awesome to work with, he contacted me with all the necessary information before hand and refunded me my deposit within a couple days of our stay. We went with another couple and it was more than enough room for two couples. I think next time we may take our children as well and it would be plenty big for that too. It was very peaceful, quiet and relaxing, it felt like a home away from home. The property was very clean which was paramount to my wife, the hot tub was a nice amenity as well. There is a community pool that you have access too as well with this home. We were very pleased with our stay.

My wife, children and I have traveled extensively and we find this Phoenix community the perfect getaway to the sunshine. We can be as active as we want or sit back by the pool or spa and suntan.

The mountain trails are only a 5 minute walk away and the views from the trails are simply stunning! We love sitting in the spa at night watching the thousands of stars. Once here, we don't need a car as we can walk to everything: pools, golf, fitness centre/gym, basketball, pickleball, volleyball and tennis courts, 4 restaurants, grocery store, and drug store.

The community has a small town charm, and is quiet with very little traffic.

We love riding our bikes along the more than 25 miles of biking trails that begin very close to our house.

The 18 hole championship golf course which is a short 4 minute walk from our house is both challenging and beautifully manicured with stunning views. The green fees are reasonable and there are 50 golf courses within 30 minute drive.

Sports fans will enjoy watching the 4 professional sports teams (Coyotes hockey, Cardinals football 25 min), and (Suns basketball and Diamondbacks baseball 35 min
