Our cottage is a great fit for a family vacation! ( 6 max adults and 10 max overnight guests )

Our Cottage is located in the very top of the Floradale Association. Literally steps away from the heated pool with slide. So convenient for all, but especially if you have kids in your party! You also have access to the Club House, Shuffleboard, Tether ball, Horse Shoes, Tennis and Basketball courts as well as 400ft of private association beachfront.

We do rent by the week, Friday to Friday from mid June to Labor Day. Before and after those dates, we do rent for a 3 day minimum.

Our cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 with Queen beds, and 1 with 2 sets of bunk beds. Living Room has a jackknife sofa. There are 2 baths, one with shower only, the other a full bath with tub. There is also a large well equipped kitchen and large dinning room. The cottage also has a large deck and a large patio area as well with lawn furniture, a outdoor gas grill, and private fire pit.

We have renovated the cottage and it looks amazing. All new Windows, deck, and exterior, as well as 2 air and heat units! This cottage will not disappoint.
Just a few miles away is the state park dunes where you can ride through the sand or walk. Also, you can take a dune ride from Mac Woods or rent a buggy to tear up the dunes yourself. There is also a 22 mile paved bike /hiking trail along with mini-golf, bumper cars, go-carts, and many specialty shops to browse through. So book your vacation today for summer/fall 2025!

Nothing but good things about this place! It was a perfect fit for the 7 of us. Close to everything in silverlake and was great to have a pool too! Definitely will be coming back!

Perfect spot close to Silver Lake

This is an ideal location for a family, especially if you have little ones. The pool is 50 yards away, Silver Lake is 1/4 mile down the road, and the dunes are close too. Very clean, comfortable and well stocked.

Perfect spot at Silver Lake!

This is the second time we have stayed in this amazing vacation cottage on Silver Lake. It is clean and inviting. We had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our week and even thought the weather wasn't great this location offered plenty of things for us to do. Pictures don't do it justice. Love it! The owners went out of their way!

Wonderful!

Great location next to pool & clubhouse. Tetherball, tennis courts, basketball court. Lots to do. We enjoyed shuffleboard and making smores by the firepit. House is so much larger than it appears from the outside, and (except for the squeeky top bunk), it is very quiet. Everyone had a great time.

Fantastic cottage

What a wonderful weekend get away! Stayed with my parents and aunt. Came to see our grand daughter. Great location close to her in Muskegon but far enough away to have some fun in/around Silver Lake! Cottage was clean and well equipped with all of the necessities. Beds were comfortable, plenty of dishes, owners were great. Just across the street (one block) from Silver Lake. Great fire pit. Even though the pool was closed for the winter, perfect location/proximity to the pool. We could see it from the living room. Definitely would go,back!

Dune Daze Cottage Mears, MI

The cottage could use some updates. The refrigerator seal isn’t complete. The bed mattresses caused lots of sore backs for our family members. The microwave was missing the glass plate for the turntable.

These thoughts are directly related to my younger mentally handicapped brother. We traveled from Ohio to Michigan to visit my younger mentally handicapped brother; we were my older sister and an older brother. My sister, came in from the west coast, has heart failure and made the trip. I’m thinking this trip might have been her last trip home to Ohio. My older brother asked me the day before we departed if your rental had a DVD. I looked on your AMENITIES listing and a DVD was listed as one of your AMENITIES. Both of us had one ready to take with us, but since it was listed in your AMENITIES, neither of us grabbed ours.Now, down to the reason for our trip. As I noted earlier, my younger brother is mentally handicapped and in his 60’s. Our mother dearly loved him and unfortunately passed away two years ago at the age of 98. She asked us to make sure we provided for him and looked after his welfare. My younger brother LOVES airplanes, helicopters, police, trucks and the like. He also loves the movies ‘AirWolf” and “Top Gun I” and “Top Gun II”. Whenever we go to Michigan to visit him, he asks and looks forward to watching these films. So, my older brother always brings these DVD’s along. My younger brother doesn’t understand what “outdated” means. So, we had to make an unnecessary trip to the closest Walmart, which you prob

Cottage getaway

Cute, efficient, CLEAN & comfy! Everything you could ask for all in one. Great location, deck, grill, fire pit, heat or fans/air, pool right next door, I could go in and on. Definitely worth staying!

Great Location

Our family had a wonderful time at the Dune Daze cottage. Had everything we needed. So many fun activities for all of us to do in the community. The pool was great. Short drive to the Sand Dunes and Lake Michigan.

Great cottage, the nicest we have rented! Right next to the pool is a big plus for kids. The only thing that would have made it better would be a boat lift at the dock.

Great location

It was a great 4 day extended weekend vacation. The pool was nice and warm, heated, and super close to this property. Half mile from the public boat access and only a few miles from some great shops and dinner options. Overall everything was awesome and the owners checked in with us a few times. No complaints.

Great Family Vacation

We had such an amazing stay. We’ve been coming up to this area for years and needed a bigger cottage with two baths. We were right next to the pool, great yard to play in, awesome views, decks and patio spaces and a short walk to lake. Beach decor, washer/dryer and dishwasher all mad this trip convenient too.... Beds were comfortable and bedding was cute. This cottage is a gem.

Nice comfortable cottage in a great location to both lakes and activities

Our families enjoyed a great Labor Day week end at Dune Daze with all the conveniences of home. The pool is a nice addition and safe for small children. We enjoyed eating outside and an evening fire. We would recommend this property to our friends in the future. The property manager communicated with us making sure everything was in good working condition.

Pure Michigan in 360 degrees!

We just completed a week's stay at Dune Daze and what a perfect week we enjoyed. We found the house very well equipped (we were impressed) and in great condition. The deck is beautiful and shaded in the afternoon. The heated pool is much larger than pictures and is just a few steps from the deck. This made Dune Daze ideal for our family and two small grandchildren. The clubhouse is also very nice and there is plenty for kids/families to enjoy. We also loved the fire pit on the north side of the house. We did use bottled water to drink and to prepare meals but we knew the water was well water before arriving so it was no problem at all. We give our highest recommendation on this property for families and small children. With the three bedrooms and two full baths we had plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 children. We hope to return next year!

Summer Fun at Dune Daze Cabin

You can’t ask for a more perfect location in the Floradale resort community! Located next to the pool, shuffle board and tetherball, there is always something fun to do just steps out the back door. I also love the numerous gathering areas this cabin provides, both in and outside the house. Our property owner was very communicative about our check in and inquiries and even checked in with us after a quick storm blew through the area to be sure there were no problems. We had an excellent week!

Great Family time

We rented two places in the Floradale group for a family vacation, and Dune Daze was wonderful. It was as pictured, clean, nicely decorated, and we loved the patio overlooking the pool. The only thing I would note is that the water was perfectly safe but quite smelly with mineral content such that showers smelled badly and we did not use it for drinking.
