The cottage is located in the Front of the Flora Dale Resort which means you are steps away from the Heated Pool, Clubhouse with Ping Pong, Tennis Courts, Basketball Court, Horse Shoe Pits, Shuffleboard Courts, Tether Ball, and a short walk to the Beachfront. Our 3 Bedroom cottage has two bedrooms each with a queen size bed, third bedroom has a full size bed and two twin beds/bunks. The cottage has two full bathrooms with tub/shower units. Kitchen is fully equipped with full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, blender, pancake griddle, toaster, coffee maker and Keurig, and more. Full size Laundry washer/dryer. Newly installed central AC and new furnace. Ceiling fans throughout!
Living room has smart tv/Cable TV. Wireless internet. Bunk room and lower bedroom have smart TVs.
Cottage has a large patio area with patio furniture and gas grill, large yard has a private sandbox, swing set, and fire pit with chairs.
Blankets, pillows, comforters, sheets, and kitchen towels are supplied.
All you need to bring are your beach towels and bathroom towels.

Grandsons

We had 6 grandsons rotating through the week, range in age from 2 to 12. Kids liked the bunk bed room. Basketball, ping pong, shuffleboard. The heated pool was the star. Cottage had everything we needed. Sampled Lake Michigan at Little Sable point lighthouse. Beach on Silver Lake. Dune ride was a favorite with kids and adults. A few little maintenance issues were addressed with owner Kelly, who was prompt and helpful. After the kids left, grandma and I had a great ride on the Hart-Montague bike trail. Many things to do within 10 miles of the cottage or just staying at the resort.

Silver Lake Summer

The house is clean, organized, and comfortable, with ready access to the pool and clubhouse. My kids loved being able to use everything. It’s our second time staying there, and our 12th time at Floradale. We love the area.

Great location

We choose this cottage to have everything in one spot. We were lucky that the pool was opened. We could use the pool, go by the lake. Grocery store and ice cream were in 15 min walk . My family really liked it. Kitchen had a lot of things that we could use for cooking. I think cottage would benefit from little updates. For us was enough. It is located in a beautiful area. Great response from the manager.

Worth the stay!

We are a family of 8 and its hard to find a place that will comfortably fit us all for a reasonable price. We had one little issue at the beginning but we took care of it. Our stay was great and we loved the house. We really enjoyed having access to the pool, which was close by. We would most definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay!

When we were ready to book there were only a handful of rentals available in the area. We chose this unit because of the 2nd bathroom. This place more than met our needs to accommodate 2 families. The kitchen is very well stocked, beds are comfy and plenty of hot water for showers. What I did not realize was how fantastic the back yard is! My 3 year old niece really enjoyed the swing set and sand box! Although we did not use the fire pit, wood was provided as well as chairs. The "heated" pool did not seem to be heated but that could be because of how late in season we stayed. One bed room and bathroom is located away from the rest really giving some extra privacy! Plenty of room for parking our 2 vehicles and trailer although my husband missed the memo and parked in front of the neighbors garage instead. The owner of the rental was contacted by the neighbor and we quickly moved the vehicle. Sorry about that!

Beautiful Cottage

The house itself was beautiful and in the perfect location. My only complaints (mostly bc i have a little one) were all the terro traps were knocked/spilled over, one toilet seat was broke and pinched the 3yo leg twice and made her bleed. Just needs a little tlc.

Cute house, close to plenty of activities

The home was perfect for my family of 5. It is within walking distance to Silver Lake, and the small beach. There is a sea wall there, but you can easily walk or drive down to the Silver Lake State park beach to walk in to swim. There is plenty to do right there by the park as well, with Craig’s Crusaders, mini golf and ice cream. The Mac Dune rides are just down the road in the opposite direction, again walking distance. I did this as a kid, and was hoping to take the family, but my son has a broken collar bone and we weren’t sure how smooth/rough it would be. We instead opted to hike the sand dunes a little. He was able to hike them with having one good arm. I was able to take my youngest two kids horse back riding at Stony Lake Stables, just a short 20 min drive. We also took the 30 min drive up to Ludington(twice) for breakfast, shopping, ice cream, a walk to the lighthouse and playground. We made the quick 10 min drive to Little Sable Point lighthouse to lay at the beach, picnic and enjoy the lake. The lake was freezing, but it’s also the end of June. The only complaint I have is that I was hoping the pool would be warmer, as it was advertised as heated. It was about as cold as the lake, which would be great on very hot days, but in June in Michigan, a heated option is definitely needed. I did let the owner know, so maybe it can be addressed with the association. All in all, this home had a great beachy feel inside and I would recommend it to others.

Fun time at the dunes!

Great location and very clean, well stocked home. Granddaughters loved staying with heated pool almost in our backyard! Nice layout of rooms and only 3 steps from utility room into main part of home. Owner was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommend.

Great stay!

The VRBO is right down from the lake. There is a nice fireplace outside and plenty of room in the house. We wished the TV was a little larger and newer to connect to device's only for when it was raining but other than that it was a great experience

Terrible experience

I rented this house honestly because i wanted a pool, i messaged her that the pool was close and she said it was out of her control he responds time isn’t the greatest either, another thing is we got fined 500$ for apparently having too many people too many cars and smoking inside the house we followed the guide lines we had 5 cars parked in the area she had told us we had a total of 8 people the limit she also blamed us for someone else’s car parked on the street, it gets better I take full responsibility of this, but still insane. One of the blankets was brought outside next to the bonfire and I got a piece of ash on it. She charged me a smoking fee for inside because she found cigarette buds outside, and instantly thought that people were smoking inside the house after I explained to her countless amount of times what happen she stop responding and still charge me the $500 and it’s being very disrespectful and hardheaded about the whole situation. I am willing to pay for the blanket but not 500$ that’s ridiculous

Pleasantly surprised

This property exceeded our expectations. Very clean. Plenty of room for six adults. Having two bathrooms was a plus. The washer, dryer, dishwasher were a nice extra. The window air conditioner kept the living area comfortably cool. Nice big yard with plenty of seating. Steps away from pool, clubhouse, basketball, volleyball, and horseshoe pit (pit is right next to the house's fire pit). We had a great stay and would definitely rent again!

Not a pleasant experience

House was not clean and all things were not in working order. I had to spend our first day cleaning it and washing bedding. We left the house in a much cleaner state than it was when we arrived, and yet, we were charged for extra cleaning.

Fun at Silver Lake

Cute place with plenty of space and nice layout for 2 adults and 5 teens. Close to all Silver Lake activities and Lake Michigan. We enjoyed the lake access, pool, basketball courts and fire pit. It was nice to have extra parking for 2 cars, boat and trailer.

Silver Lake House Rental

We had a great week at Silver Lake and this cozy, clean home offered plenty of space to sleep the six adult family members. It is located close to Mac Woods Dune Rides and within a mile of town. It also offered a great community heated pool, beach (walking distance), tennis courts (pickle ball) and a horseshoe pit.

Perfect family getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay! Perfect yard for my 3 year old and short distance to the pool! Check in was super easy and we had no issues at all. Would definitely rent here again!

Had a great experience. Clean, great location, and plenty of amenities. Only criticism would be to have the listing actually say no air conditioning somewhere and not have to find it in the reviews.
