Guest Access & Additional Notes

You’ll have full access to the home and backyard, including the private pond, during your stay.

Hosts live in a separate home at the back of the property – available if needed, but you’ll enjoy privacy.

This is a true country experience – expect the sounds of frogs, crickets, and roosters. Bring bug spray!

Some areas of the property (shed, tall grass areas) are off‑limits for safety and clearly marked.

We share our little farm with three friendly dogs, two cats, and a lively chicken coop with rabbits and ducks. While the animals are separate from the guest space, we’re happy to offer an optional farm experience if you’d like to interact with them!

House Rules for Green Acres Farm Cottage

We want your stay to be comfortable and enjoyable! Please review these house rules to help keep our home and property safe for everyone.
For the safety of our guests and the protection of the property we have exterior cameras. 1 at front porch then 2 others facing outward at the backyard.
Any major maintenance issues such as AC, plumbing, internet, or electrical need to be reported immediately and are considered emergency and will be addressed immediately. Tampering with internet or outdoor cameras in anyway will jeopardize the continued use of your stay at the home.

Cleanliness & Check‑Out

No heavy cleaning is required. If you’d like to tidy up, that’s appreciated but optional.

Please leave used beds unmade so we know what to wash.

Used or wet towels can be placed on the bathroom floor.

Check‑out is at 11:00 AM unless a late check‑out is pre‑approved.

Beginning at 12:00 PM, a $50 late fee applies.

If cleaners cannot access by 2:00 PM, a $200 fee will be charged, and authorities may be called to regain access.
Septic System

Only toilet paper may be flushed.

Please do not flush wipes, hygiene products, or any other items.
Fire Safety & Smoking

No smoking, open flames, candles, bonfires, or fireworks anywhere on the property besides the designated fire pit which is provided by the pond for your enjoyment—please practice fire safety.

We are a rural property served by a volunteer fire department; safety is our top priority.
Property Safety

Certain areas are off‑limits for guest safety, including:

The storage shed and under the deck

Any clearly marked “Do Not Enter” areas

Overgrown areas with tall grass(may contain ticks) and wild blackberry vines(painful)

Hunting or shooting guns is not permitted on the property.

The home and deck are best suited for adults, couples, and families with older children.

Due our other animals on the property and insurance restrictions, no guest pets are allowed.

Rural & Nature Considerations

Our property is a true country setting. Expect natural sounds like frogs, cicadas, crickets, coyotes, rooster, cows down the road, neighbors dogs.

Despite regular pest control, you may see mosquitoes, ticks, flies, spiders, or dirt daubers. Please keep doors closed to keep the pest outside.

Natural insect repellents are provided under the kitchen sink for your convenience.
