Pretty family style home in Prime Location! We are only 30 seconds to the entrance of the Dale Hollow Lake State Park and Golf Resort, right off of State Park Road. Near the State Park Golf Resort, Boat Marina, Lake view Restaurant and Hiking Trails. This pretty country home also has boat(s)parking. The cabin sleeps 9 people with 3 bedrooms plus an additional daybed on the main floor just off the screened in porch. Families, Fisherman and Golfers love our close location to fishing, boating and golfing. We are less than a 4 minute drive to the Marina at Dale Hollow Lake State Park. Call (270-433-6600) to reserve a boat or rent a boat slip. Our driveway is only a 1 minute drive to the Golf-course Clubhouse. The DHL State Park Lodge Restaurant, with a lake view is a 3 minute drive from the cottage, if you prefer not to cook. This is a pretty, like new, totally remodeled, peaceful country home- and you will feel like you’re at your own home away from home. With 2 covered porches, that includes comfortable seating. The family room includes 2 couches, loveseat, and 2 recliners & cozy throws. The home has 4 smart TV’s and quality furniture, bedding and towels. The kitchen includes quality items for-cooking and dinner ware for 10, and includes plenty good quality pots, pans, utensils and dishes. This comfortable home has new furniture. The home has plenty of beds with sleeping for 9 people. Featuring new high end materials, premium bedding and towels. She has hardwood floors, granite countertops, new stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher. 2 new bathrooms; one with an oversized large tiled shower! Comfortable new furniture and vintage decor add to the charm. She is less than a 4 minute drive to the Marina/ boat ramp at the Dale Hollow State Park Resort. The screened-in back porch and the covered front porch are also a favorite for guests and are perfect for hanging out. Brand new cozy sofas, 2 recliners, new beds, bedding, and new outdoor furniture on both covered porches. This home has 2 Private Queen bedrooms, and a 3rd Loft bedroom that features 3 beds: 1 Full bed, and 2 Twin bed’s. A Bonus Twin Daybed is located on the main floor in an alcove area near the screened in porch. The home has 2 bathrooms, including a half bath on the second floor.

The house features 3 separate sleeping areas, made up of the main queen bedroom downstairs, another private queen bedroom upstairs and an upstairs sleeping loft with 1 full size bed and two twins. The upstairs of the home also includes a half bath. As and added bonus downstairs, a daybed is located in a office room adjacent to the laundry room. The cottage comfortably accommodates up to 9 guests. Each sleeping area is furnished with a smart television and adequate heating and cooling for our guests comforts.
A landline phone for emergencies and local calls is provided for guests and is located in the master bedroom.

As you step inside, you will immediately feel at home in the inviting and tastefully decorated living space. The open floor plan allows for seamless flow between the living area, dining space, and sleeping areas.
One of the highlights of this home is the outdoor area. With 2 covered porches and a fire-pit. Step onto the back deck, breathe in the fresh air, and take in the breathtaking views of the beautiful Kentucky hills behind the cottage. Off the screened in porch on the back of the home, herds of cows often graze in the neighboring field. Spend lazy afternoons lounging on the porch or fire up the grill for a delightful barbecue with loved ones. We have plenty of chairs for the outdoor lighted fire-pit which over looks acres upon acres of rolling hills of the neighbors farm behind the home. If you’re lucky, herds of cows roam the hills almost daily. Deer, fox, hummingbirds, bluebirds, warblers, and cardinals often visit our back yard.

For those seeking adventure, Dale Hollow Lake State Park Marina is approximately 1 miles away from your doorstep. Head to the Marina Parking, grab your fishing gear & take a short walk to the right of the trooper island ramp and cast a line into the pristine waters to catch dinner, bring or rent a boat and explore the lake at your leisure. The Dale Hollow State Park Marina rents boats. Call ahead and reserve for the best selection. The State Park also offers a range of activities such as hiking, biking, and bird-watching. Our favorites are hiking to Eagle Point and the Cave at the DHL State Park. If you have a large group and need additional lodging, the lodge at the DHL State Park has lodge rooms for additional guests and a campground. It is a 3 minute drive from the driveway of the house. We have had several family reunions utilize both locations and spend evenings at our home around the firepit!!! The lodge also has a restaurant that overlooks the lake and it is open for anyone. We like to go for the buffet on Friday and Saturday nights.

As the sun sets, gather around the fire pit and share stories, roast marshmallows, and create unforgettable memories with loved ones. Or grab one of the games provided at the house, and have a fun night together. Our fisherman and golfers in particular like to utilize the poker set.
Our grandkids love to compete in UNO and have dance parties, and our adult kids love Euchre and Karaoke utilizing the Marshall Bluetooth Speaker in the Family Room. While my husband and I love to make morning coffee or an evening refreshment and enjoy quality time together. Late night singing around the fire-pit is one of our favorite things to do as well!

If you’re looking for places to eat, we have several nearby. We like the DHL State Park Resort lodge restaurant(Island View Restaurant) The restaurant is about a 4 minute drive from our driveway, and serves 3 meals a day. The lodge offers a dinner buffet on the weekends during the summer and it is good food. Definitely a favorite for families! The state park lodge is open on weekends only during the winter months. Dale Hollow Sweets is right around corner, the milkshakes, cupcakes and fudge our favorites. They also serve a cheeseburger that is yummy. The Bait Shop next to Dale Hollow Sweets, offers breakfast (we love the pork tenderloin sandwiches) and biscuits & Gravy. Last, the very fun “Mikes Landing “ located at Sulphur Creek Resort, is only about a 12 minute drive by car. Mikes landing has live music and a waterfront bar/restaurant that can be reached by boat or car. Mike’s landing is open seasonally from April thru the end of October. Many guests also like to visit SKD distillery nearby.
Our charming little town of Burkesville is a short drive and has several delicious restaurants. Our favorites are: Pizza Hut, Sounds Good Pizza Restaurant, Annie Ruby’s Cafe and the IGA grocery store. We also like Angie’s Buffet in Albany, Ky. Additionally, during the summer, Burkesville has a farmers market next to the town square on Saturday Mornings. Our favorites are the home made baked goods delicious fresh grown produce and local specialty product’s like hot honey and fresh meat.
