Amazing Property

Unit and grounds were beautiful. We were there with 4 adults and 2 kids under the age of 2. The unit is spacious with a beautiful ocean facing deck. Fun to watch the water, whales and swimming pools. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of plates, glasses etc. Would definitely go back.

Relaxing Vacation

Fantastic stay at Honua Kai! This is our third time to this resort and feel it is the best location! Love the pools and beach access, very family friendly. This particular unit has beautiful views and is well appointed. There are some minor issues with the kitchen (cabinetry that needs to be repaired and dishwasher doesn't open all the way due to poor location/planning with refrigerator) however it is clean and is a corner unit. Of note, the "free rental car" is only for a family of 4, so you need to pay for an upgrade (even though this unit is rented out for 7 people) and it is only covered for 7 days, so if you stay longer be aware you will need to pay extra daily fee for the rental car.

Okay unit

We have stayed at property before but has been awhile. We felt there were some quality control issues the property manager needs to have in place before quests stay. The unit was pretty run down with cabinets falling off in kitchen, the Bbq unit was being replaced but was half way finished with tools laying around, sand from construction etc. one of the bedrooms had sanitary items and dirty clothes under the bed. I’m can say that management did get to the unit quickly to have all taken care of. We also initially had issues with the air conditioner not working and sensors needed replaced. Not a good way to start your trip. The positive of the unit was the view which was amazing. All in all giving a 3 stars.

Spacious, immaculate accommodations with an unbeatable view

Spacious, immaculate accommodations with an unbeatable view. We spent hours just sitting on the balcony and staring out to sea. The rooms were extremely comfortable, and we loved all the extra touches the owners provided, from booster seats to beach toys. A wonderful destination for both kids and adults.

Unobstructed views

Very nice and large end unit with huge lanai and great unobstructed views of both Lanai and Molokai as well as the mountains. No construction noise apparent from the South , just the splashing of the waterfall, squeals of happy kids and a little fan noise from the roof of Duke's which this unit overlooks.

Spectacular views!

The place was perfect for our group. We brought our adult children to stay for a week and everyone had their own room, plenty of space for everyone. The lanai was the best feature. We spent most mornings having coffee out there and most nights outside watching the sunset. It was clean and well maintained. We will look to stay here the next time we visit Maui.

Amazing view for the week

Perfect for our family of 3 (5 year old) and 2 sets of grandparents. Lots of space for all 7 of us. The place was supposed to have a pull out couch in the living room but didn’t so the property manager kindly delivered a rollaway bed for my son. A ceiling fan was not working and they had it fixed within a couple days. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Loved the view of the ocean and directly overlooked the pool so grandparents could watch from the lanai if desired.

Another Stay In Paradise

Renting the property was easy. Description and pictures on line were consistent with what we found. No negative surprises. Unit 550 was perfect for our large family and we enjoyed the grilling and sunsets from our patio. Property manager KBM was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely come again and refer my friends.

Great family condo

The condo is impeccable with lots of room, and nice furnishings. We spent a lot of time on the lanai with gorgeous views of Molokai and Lanai. Great grounds for families. Can get some of the pool noise while on the lanai- otherwise perfect!

Perfect for a family of 6 or more

Perfect amount of space for a big group and an amazing view to wake up to every day.There was something for everyone rather it was a pool day, beach day or happy hour at dukes. Property was clean, well supplied & beautiful.

Loved our stay at Honua Kai Resort! We Booked through KBM Hawaii and reserved Unit 550 in the Kona Tower. The 3 bed, 3 bath condo was everything I was hoping for. The views were second to none from the 5th story room with a large lanai, which we lounged on regularly. With three adult couples, we found the place spacious and decorated very tastefully. Be careful about the floor of the lanai when it's wet, as it is as slippery as ice! The sound system was a great bonus to be able to stream music throughout the rooms from logging into Pandora via the smart TV. Although the rooms were next to one another, we really didn't hear anyone making noise in the other rooms. Our greeter was pleasant and took action immediately when we realized we did not have enough stemware for the wine we had to accompany the fantastic dinners we all had planned. Chris had a box of Riedle red and white wine stemware delivered that day. The kitchen was well equipped and having our own Viking Grill on the lanai was priceless. At night, we opened all the wall size windows and enjoyed the ocean air, along with the sounds of the waves. The free car rental was great too, although, we did need to and suggest an upgrade to a larger vehicle. An improvement would have been to have use of a vacuum and floor mop for those unexpected spills. Overall, we are planning on returning soon and to make this a family get together at least every other year.
