A truly wonderful property to fully commune with Mother Nature's grandeur, while visiting the Island.Bald Eagles were everywhere, along with heron, porpoise, seals and even the occasional whale, this late in the season. Not to mention fishing boats, whale watching boats, commercial freighters and cruise ships passing by as well, all visible from the cottage and the back deck. The spot is ideal, sitting up on a cliff, overlooking 'Head Harbour Passage', with western skies visible in the evenings.A great location for easy access to Head Harbour Lighthouse (1 mi), kayak launching (1 mi), fresh seafood (1/2 mi) and a small island convenience store (1 mi). There are two beautiful parks and a whale watching tour company on the other side of the island (7 to 8 mi), including the renowned Roosevelt Campobello International Park, almost exclusively free-of-charge. Don't miss an opportunity to attend "Eleanor's Tea", which will surely leave you with a lasting impression of Eleanor Roosevelt's contributions to the local area, the Country and the World.Life is short, fragile and 'someday' is not guaranteed. If you can, make time in your busy lives to come experience this place...... you won't be disappointed.Reserved this property for 4 nights, during the week, in late September 2026, for a visit with a Childhood Friend and their Spouse. This Cottage, all its amenities, the gracious & friendly Hosts and the LOCATION, helped make this a truly memorable vacation for them..
