THE LARGE AND PRIVATE MASTER BEDROOM overlooking the ocean walks out into the screened in room. Charming oceanside cottage with screened-in porch and deck overlooking the water. Beautiful views of the water and pine studded islands. Watch eagles, osprey, seals, porpoises, and whales from the property. Less than a mile from the Head Harbour Lighthouse, the most photographed lighthouse in New Brunswick. Walk to beautiful Head Harbour to see the fishing boats or catch a whale watching tour. 3 bedrooms- 1 with full size bed, 1 with bunk beds, plus a sleeping loft and a new Master Bedroom with queen size bed. Very nice, clean and amazing views! The master is beautiful, with a little electric fireplace and amazing views. Pet friendly, or two little chihuahuas had a great time here too!

This property was as magical as Campobello Island itself. The cottage is designed to look and feel as if you are on a ship. Looking out the grand windows to the water below itā€™s easy to imagine you are indeed floating at sea. We look forward to returning to this place for more exploring and hiking on the island and relaxing at Starfish, our comfy, cozy home away fr home

Our stay at Starfish Cottage was magical- we couldnā€™t believe how perfect it was for our family! The view and yard were incredible, and loved all the little details the hosts put into the cottage.

Arrived to s beautifully kept and clean cottage. The views were spectacular, the beds were extremely comfortable. The cottage was well appointed with everything that one could need.Dennis dropped by to say hello and make sure we were happy. He responded to messages promptly and was very kind.We celebrated our 30th anniversary here and absolutely fell in love with the area. Highly recommend the Starfish Cottage and Dennis.

Eagles, Osprey and Minke Oh My!

The cottage was a comfortable space with spectacular views. We saw eagles, osprey, minke whales, seals (both harbour and grey types) as well as dozens of songbirds, etc right from the back deck and property. We even got to see a cruise ship pass by the house as it left port in Maine. The owner is beyond responsive. There was an issue with the back door lock and within hours it was fixed! Dennis is friendly and understands customer service. While some of the appliances are a bit outdated and at the end of their lives, we managed just fine. Overall a great experience and we look forward to returning or maybe trying another of this ownerā€™s properties!

Relaxing on Bay of Fundy

This was our second time staying at Starfish. We love it for the large backyard for the pups. Plenty of room to chase a ball and run. The addition to the cottage is fabulous. Much more indoor space. Cottage is equipped with everything you need. Bring your own spices if you plan to cook as we did most meals as restaurants are closed or slowing down in the fall. We did stop at The Porch twice for fresh pastries and cake- great deserts ! Dennis was great and supportive. Highly recommended.

Peaceful quiet paradise

Lovely stay in a quaint and tastefully decorated cottage with everything needed for a relaxing visit. The master bedroom views are fabulous and sunsets are indescribable. I may have lucked out with such sunny and warm weather in later September as that was perfect also. Plenty to do in terms of relaxing, reading, exploring nearby particularly Roosevelt Campobello International Park which I visited three times. Fun Trip!

Fun girls trip

Perfect!!! The cottage was more than we could have imagined. The view was spectacular, and we saw whales from the back yard. There was something for everyone from ages 10 to 60. I would encourage anyone to book their stay at the starfish cottage.

We loved Starfish Cottage

7 years ago we stayed at Dennisā€™ Whale of a View cottage 2 doors down and this is why we came back again, this time staying at Starfish Cottage which has been updated a few times since we stayed at WOAV my in 2017. In 2018, a spacious Captainā€™s Bedroom was added on to Starfish Cottage which now has a screened in family room right off it and also an outdoor deck in front of that room. Earlier this year, a new living room with plenty of windows was added off the multi-use lounge/dining seating area which is off the kitchen. Painted bright white, it was a beautiful space to sit each morning as everyone was getting ready for the day ahead. With views of the loft bedroom with its high ceilings overlooking the dining/kitchen area, it made the whole space feel very spacious. If you enjoy history, youā€™ll see the love that Dennis, his wife and their family have poured into the cottages preserving a lot of local heritage items decorating the cottages that tell a lot of the history of the Island. Located near Head Harbour Lighthouse on Lighthouse Road, it gives you easy access to all of the Islandā€™s attractions and from the backyard of the cottage you have an incredible view of the bay with Deer Island across the way. We saw many whales and porpoises over the week we were there from the backyard. Roosevelt International Park will keep you busy for several days, and make sure you do Tea with Eleanor! We loved staying at Starfish Cottage and weā€™re sure you will too!

Early June getaway

This cottage was the perfect home base for our week away - quiet, private, scenic, comfortable. The one small bathroom might be a bit of an issue with four or more people, but for two of us it was very ample. I'm still enjoying the screened-in porch in recollection - a sweet spot indeed. And we found plenty of exploration to do on the island all week (the trails at the international park were a standout, especially the bog trail and the coastal lookouts). You might want to bring your own condiments, spices, and cooking oils if you plan to cook, but the kitchen has everything you would want in the way of equipment (and a beautiful view of the water too). We loved staying there and will definitely hope to return again in future.

Beautiful cottage

After a wonderful stay at the Starfish Cottage a few years ago, I came back with my mom for a second visit. The cottage is perfect and well-maintained -- the views from the main bedroom, kitchen, and deck can't be beat. We were greeted on our first morning by a bald eagle in the backyard and thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay. Looking forward to coming back again.

Perfect Campobello Cottage

Perfect setting with ocean views complete with Bald Eagles, Seals, Whales. Walking distance to lighthouse. Despite being close to the road it was very private and quiet. Forested on both sides with large sweeping lawn behind the cottage. The cottage beautiful, quaint and well designed. Master bedroom with large windows and sliding door to large deck. Beds comfortable. Kitchen with all the necessities. Screened porch a lovely place to curl up with one of their books or magazines (many concerning the history of the island) Canā€™t recommend enough! Owners wonderful, available, and very helpful.

Eagles Soaring

The cottage for the two of us with one bathroom and a compact kitchen though there is room to sleep up to eight. Location is perfect being very close to Head Harbor Lighthouse which we visited twice and Roosevelt Campobello International Park where we toured, had tea with Eleanor and rode our bikes on the carriage paths and trails. Of special note was mornings spent drinking coffee in the spacious screened in porch watching eagles soaring. One morning we watched as 5 eagles took turns. Very special!

Perfect setting

Great property. Easy to find, clean, neat. Very responsive host. Melissa does a great job with housekeeping. Nice private setting. Eagles every day and a juvenile decided to perch in tree by picnic table. Majestic! Whales also observed from kitchen window. So elegant. Internet works and is very helpful with cell calls. More than one device seems to slow any streaming with buffering. May need firmware update. Minor issues if you have kids, is could not find DVD player. Looks like integrated tv was replaced. Tech issues are really minor though. Screened porch perfect for reading and games, relaxing. Will look forward to a return visit. Thank you Dennis.

Inter generation family get together

Location location location for tranquility, serenity and solitude. The property is a gem with a million dollar view. We enjoyed some outings but for the most part we occupied ourselves relaxing on the deck and screened in porch: games , puzzles and watching for the elusive whale. The weather was excellent, between 18 and 23 degrees, a little rain but mostly sun. Wish we had time to stay longer!

We purchased the Sea Urchin Cottage and bought the private abutting cottages over the years and summer of 2024 will be our 36th year of renting and enjoying our family which now includes 8 grandchildren newborn to 12! The Starfish Cottage is amazing with all the improvements we have done over the year with the amazing and large Master bedroom, the new LIVING ROOM and screened in porch in 2024. The SUNSETS ARE SPECTACULAR FROM THE STARFISH COTTAGE! A very nice place for children with its large and flat yard! The views of the Whales, boats and wildlife is great at the Starfish Cottage!
