If you are looking for serenity and a beautiful setting every hour of the day, this is your place. Stay up late to hear the evening serenade & watch the moon reflect over the lake. Wake up at daylight to catch the owl that likes to perch in the tree by the fire pit. Wondeul house, wonderful views and if you are looking for peace in your life, spend a week or two here!

Peaceful springbreak

The house was a nice size for our family and dogs. The water was too cold for us, but the dogs loved it. Very peaceful and quiet place to relax and enjoy family time playing games

Spring Break

We had the best time in TN for spring break. My son loves to fish and took advantage of all the nearby lakes and rivers! The house was wonderful and close to everything we wanted to do.

Pre-thanksgiving

The property provided a secluded and private atmosphere for a pre-thanksgiving and birthday getaway for our family… and we took advantage to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Smoky Mountains… we truly enjoyed our stay and will consider for future trips to the area

The lake was low for the time of year but we were still able to use the boat launch and the dock. The views are amazing. It is a ways back from the main road so plan trips to town to get everything you need done. The host was great with getting back to me very fast. We actually had our original location cancel on us that morning and we were able to book this place last minute. Bring extra toilet paper, napkins, and paper towels. Also there wasn’t hand soap at every sink so I was glad I brought extra. Plenty of bathroom towels were available but bring beach towels for the lake. We had a great week after some craziness with another booking! Thanks!

Lake was dried up. Kayaks were locked and combination didn’t work. House was very low on essentials like napkins, toilet paper, paper towels. There was no hand soap

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. We do our best to clearly note in both our listing description and photos that Douglas Lake is a dam-controlled lake, and water levels are typically ideal from May through September. We understand this can be disappointing if you’re expecting full water access outside of those months. Regarding the kayaks, we weren’t made aware of any issue with the combination lock during your stay, but we would have been more than happy to assist right away had we known. We also provide a starter supply of essentials such as paper products and soaps to get guests settled in. It sounds like we missed the mark here, and we’ve since ensured everything is fully restocked for future guests. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention and will continue working to improve the experience.

Extremely private, beautiful, and comfortable location. About 15 minutes of winding mountain roads from the main drag. Come prepared with supplies as it’s a hike into town Loved being able to share this with our dog also, it is very pet friendly. Plenty of space for our Golden Retriever to run and play off leash. We rented a boat and jet skis from H2O water sports. Easy docking even in Mid April with low water. Boat house is fun to hang out in. Fishing is not great from the dock but the boating and exploring different coves is exceptional. Hot water is hot. Bed is comfortable. Make sure the dryer works before washing clothes. Host is accommodating and communication was right where it needed to be. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a spacious, private, and upscale mountain property. We wish our stay was longer.

Such a beautiful spot!

Relaxing out on the porch was amazing! The beds were very comfortable and clean. It was a luxury to have 2 refrigerators. It was also nice to have wifi, even with our large group it only slowed down a few times at night. I couldnt believe how clean and bug free the dock was, usually around a lake there are a million spiders, and we only saw a few. Could have stared out at the lake forever. Only suggestion, a better light in the carport area, there might have been one that we missed, but not sure. Other than that everything was perfect! Really loved the lights on the dock and arou d the firepit, made it very nice to see out at night.

Absolutely Perfect Location

The cabin was very clean and well stocked with linens, dishes, pots and pans. I am thankful that I brought a roll of paper towels. 1 roll of paper towels was provided, but when I cook, I use a lot. LOL The property, the deck, Dock and every thing was high quality and just perfect. This cabin is located in a cove, so there is very little boat traffic. We had an amazing time here. The driveway is long and goes all the way to the lake. Such a peaceful place to walk, watch rabbits, birds and wildlife. There was a racoon that we had to fuss with about getting into the trash. LOL The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. Everything was just perfect. If you are looking for a quiet cove with a perfect cabin, look no further. Thank you so much!!

The property was beautiful and very nice access to the lake. Animal friendly my dogs loved it and had a wonderful time. Easy to contact someone if you needed them or had questions. The only problem was the floors needed to be mopped and the rug vacuumed, everything else was clean. Was a great experience overall and would love to go back.

Best lake rental property

We frequently rent lake houses for long weekends on several different lakes throughout TN, NC, SC, and GA. This property is by far the best property our regular group of folks have been to. Beautiful mountain views, short boat ride to killer sunsets, nice and tidy peninsula for morning coffee walks. We will be absolutely sure to return. Can't think of anything at all with the property that I could suggest to improve on! Thanks for having us!

Mountain Retreat

This was our first attempt with booking with VRBO in Tennessee. All we knew was that we wanted to be in Sevierville, we wanted to be on Douglas Lake and we wanted to be able to launch my brother’s 23’ boat. This place was everything we wanted and more! It was perfect! The house is beautiful, spacious and clean. The kitchen is big,and stocked well with everything we needed to cook. The deck overlooking the lake was our favorite spot next to being in the lake swimming. We hung out on the floating dock swimming every day. The only thing we will bring with us next time is an easy up awning for the floating dock to give us a break from the sun. This was our best vacation ever! Highly recommended!

Wonderful quiet place

Quiet cove on the water. Indoor fun with game room and TV with Roku. Dock for rental boats and our paddle boards and kayak. Shaded area near dock for hanging out. The fire pit was great for s’mores. Our family cooked in the complete kitchen and enjoyed time together on the water. Great location😀

Cabin in the woods with a great view!

Loved the private boat ramp and dock. Yard was flat which you don’t get very often. Grateful for the window AC units in the upstairs.

Family Time

Had a great time with the family! Nice dock for the boat. Kitchen had everything we needed to feed six easily. The kids enjoyed the game room.
