Recently renovated with new deck overlooking the mountain views to compliment the already existing deck by the pool with ocean view. New fixtures, paint, etc. *No children under 12 years of age

Two king bedrooms each with full bathrooms, AC, and high speed wifi. Gated, private entrance with covered parking.

Perfectly situated in an elevated neighborhood capturing cool mountain breezes while enjoying jaw-dropping views. Easy access to one of the most beautiful waterfalls and river systems in Costa Rica.

I fell in love with this property because of the dramatic valley, jungle and ocean views. I believe you will too. It sits high above two river valleys and adjacent to a waterfall below, easily accessible by car or short hike. You will want to be there every day.

This home was built in 2011, highlighting Asian characteristics with indoor / outdoor living and sliding glass doors that disappear into the wall for total access to the pool area. There are two bedrooms each with private bathrooms. The master has an outdoor shower and indoor Jacuzzi tub . The second bedroom has an indoor shower. The living area is accented by a fireplace that is only for decor. There is a patio adjacent to the pool where you can enjoy private sunbathing , stargazing and yoga. A/C is available in the bedrooms but is rarely needed as there is usually a steady breeze through the home keeping the temperature pleasant during the day and possibly 'chilly' at night.

I love to cook so the kitchen is stocked with the necessary pots, pans, mixing bowls, utensils etc to create a fantastic meals without leaving the mountain.

Slice of heaven

Did not disappoint! Uvita is a beautiful area, with so many things to do! This is a beautiful property with lush surroundings, incredible views, and amazing location!! 15 min from Uvita, great restaurants, grocery shopping, bakeries, cafes…, everything you would need. Daily sightings of monkeys, birds, butterflies, geckos. House is beautifully appointed, and very comfortable, with multiple seating options outside, beautiful pool with a view of the ocean and whales tail! 4wd recommended for the drive in, and steep driveway. Worth the drive!! Property management is very attentive, we had 1 small issue, that was resolved within 30 minutes! Made reservations for a tour for us, and were very quick to respond to any inquiries we had. This was our second visit, and definitely will not be our last!! Thank you yet again Casa Namaste! Already looking forward to returning.

Paradise!

We loved it so much we came back for a second time! The location, the private pool, the view… all amazing! We enjoyed yoga on the patio in the mornings, lounging around the pool relaxing and spending time in this beautiful spot. Natasha was so helpful with planning a few special things for us. We had a delicious meal cooked for us by Chef Yuey, with enough leftovers for a few extra meals! Massages on the patio were very relaxing. We found some great restaurants in the area and can’t wait to go back!

Amazing private jungle experience

We spent a full week at Casa Namaste with our two boys (11&14). The views from this location are breathtaking. You can see all the way to the ocean. We loved watching the birds and monkeys come and visit each day. We saw toucans everyday. We like to cook our own meals and the cabin was very well equipped with everything we needed. Local grocery stores in Uvita are good with all the options we were looking for. Morning yoga sessions on the patio taking in the amazing views was fun although kids didn’t really appreciate it that much, lol. There is a really great walk down to the river in the valley below. It’s a 20 minute hike down a steep road or if you have a 4x4 you can drive but we enjoyed getting a little excercise. There are pools you can swim in and the kids loved jumping off the rocks in to the deep pools below. Chelsea attended to everything we needed and was very responsive with any questions we had. When booking, we weren’t sure if we’d enjoy the jungle location as we normally prefer being close to the beach (this was our third trip to Costa Rica) but with a short 20 minute drive to some great beaches we felt this was a great choice for us and really enjoyed our stay. Lots to do in the area. We’ll be back.

Great location. Marvelous pool. Upsetting ant infestation in the bed.

Having stayed at several different accomodations in previous visits to Costa Rica, this location certainly impressed us in 2023. So we booked again in 2024. The view is still great and the private pool most welcome. However we were surprised to find full garbage (used toilet tissue) in bathroom at check-in along with other refuse in the kitchen. Overall, the cleanliness seemed to have sunk from the previous year. The house looked more "tired". Also we were struck at the number of geckos inside the house compared to other similar properties where we have stayed. Each morning we cleaned up a new overnight crop of gecko faeces from counters, bed covers, tables etc. More disturbingly, after mysterious bites on ourselves, we found microscopic (biting) ants all over our pillows and bed. We later learned that the ants have been a recurring problem over time in the main bedroom (the bed had been previously dismantled and treated). This had a profound negative impact on the balance of our stay which wouldn't have been possible if we were with another couple as we used the second bedroom. Sadly, we will not be staying here on a future trip to the region.

If there's a perfect VRBO rental out there, it's this one

Casa Namaste exceeded all our expectations. We loved how the outside pool and covered patio were really just an extension of the home--we spent most of our time swimming and enjoying the views and wildlife from that space. The home is well kept and appointed with everything we needed, and Chelsea was a terrific host. She was easy to communicate with and offered us ideas that enriched our time in Costa Rica. It's a big, beautiful world out there, and we're already trying to figure out how to get back to this special home and place.

Beautiful and Restful Casa Namaste

Our first time to Costa Rica, and Casa Namaste has set the bar very high. Super comfy beds, plenty of linens, towels, kitchen supplies, whatever we needed for our 6 days. Couldn’t ask for better scenery, and woke up to monkeys and toucans in the trees each morning. Chelsea was an absolute gem…so helpful and full of information and ideas….our own personal travel agent! She helped us choose some great tours. We did Oro Verde, Santa Lucia Waterfalls, and Emilio Coffee, just the right amount of time away from the house and then spending the afternoons by the beautiful pool. Glad we rented a 4x4 vehicle for these tours. Got in at 10 pm first night, so the road to the house was daunting, but after the next time, we were pros! Don’t wait, just book this place, you’ll be happy you did!

Amazing Stay in Uvita!

Absolutely beautiful location, with an incredible view! The house has everything you need, kitchen is fully equipped, A/C worked well, pool was the perfect temperature every day, and the outdoor space offered sun and shade at all times of day. The outdoor shower was such a treat! Beds were very comfortable, with great pillows! Wifi worked really well. Road to the house is daunting at first, but gets easier and quicker each time. Trip into Uvita took 15 min. Chelsea was great to communicate with and provided lots of recommendations. This is a property we would most definitely stay at again😊

Beyond spectacular!

Casa Namaste is everything we could have asked for and more! The house itself has all the amenities that you need for a short or extended stay. The view literally takes your breath away when you first see it and makes you cry when you have to leave. Chelsea was always helpful with dining suggestions, setting up a in home chef (Chef Juan Pablo is a must), giving directions to a hidden waterfall and swimming hole, and anything else we needed. The drive up the mountain is paved and only 15 minutes from Uvita. I am horrible at writing reviews, but if you have any reservations about booking, don't, book it now. We considered ourselves lucky that we found this slice of heaven.

Amazing views and abundant bird life

Casa Namaste was a perfect place for us to stay. (2 couples ). The house is very modern, clean and well furnished with super comfortable king sized beds. We spent lots of time just sitting out by, and in, the pool with its amazing views over the “whale tail”. We especially enjoyed the abundant bird life: toucans, oropendulas, parrots and hawks to name a few. Writing this review makes me wish I was sitting there right now. Hope we can go back one day.

Spectacular location- great stay for two couples

The view from the property is amazing; overlooking forest with distant ocean and whale tail vistas. We were serenaded by forest through the day with notable visits from toucan, aracaris and capuchin monkeys. The private pool was a welcome respite after hot hikes. The recently paved road to the property winds through steep hairpin curves from the highway (typical for Costa Rica). The driveway is also steep but a 2 wheel drive Chery Tiggo worked okay in dry conditions...would not want to try without AWD or 4WD if raining. The eclectic casita is showing some signs of wear and tear over the years and a few minor repairs would be helpful. Also the photos and description could be updated; there is no grill or dishwasher and there are four comfortable outside chairs with two loungers. Would fully recommend and stay again...this location is one of a kind!!!

Mountain Paradise

Case Namaste is more beautiful than the pictures. Chelsea, the property manager was extremely helpful and available. We highly recommend getting a massage onsite, it was amazing with the gentle breeze and genuine nature sounds. The house is well equipped and the winding mountain road is well paved.

Home is in a great location, with amazing views of the forest and ocean. Monkeys and Toucans were hanging out in the trees, and you wake up each morning to the sound of howler monkeys. Lots of things to do in the area and great dining options in Uvita and Dominical.

Private Paradise

In all my travels this was one of the best experiences renting a house I’ve ever had. Chelsea was on top of everything and went the extra mile in providing info before the trip and was beyond helpful during our stay. Fabulous Stay

This immaculate, well-appointed house was so comfortable for 2 couples. The road up the house is exciting, but once you're there, it is a total private haven. The views are stunning, and the whole outdoor area was so comfortable to sit in shade and be covered when it rained. We all fell in love with the outdoor shower. We also really appreciated the ability to do laundry after swimming and traveling, and it made it easy to pack lightly. Our host, Chelsea and her partner, Trevor were so helpful with restaurants and directions and anything else we wanted to know. We highly recommend this beautiful house. We had a great time. Thank you!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

As relatively seasoned VRBO travellers, we have stayed in many beautiful homes in many parts of the world. However, our stay at Casa Namaste was indeed special. This is a lovely Casa with a stupendous location in the middle of the jungle with amazing ocean views, to say nothing about daily visits from toucans, and even a coati one morning! What was distinct about Casa Namaste, was how we immediately felt so completely at home and relaxed. There is just a vibe about this place which urges you to sink in & just feel good! It is quite hot here in Costa Rica in February, and one thing to make sure of, is adequate shade wherever you are staying, Casa Namaste has areas to sit outside protected from the sun while still enjoying being outdoors, as well the height on the mountainside allows for about 3 or 4 degree difference (cooler) from the beach which is very welcome. Many of the villas and restaurants in the area are on very poor dirt roads, which necessitate a 4x4 rental vehicle, but the drive to Casa Namaste has been recently paved and although long and twisty, a fairly easy drive. And no review would be complete without mentioning their incredible property manager Chelsea. When staying in remote locations there are almost always issues that come up, and the real test is not so much whether issues arise but how they're dealt with. Chelsea was always available, communicating with us before our trip, during our trip, even after our stay while we were at the next villa! Whether it was with questions about the house, restaurants or just general information about the area, she was super helpful and what a difference that personal touch makes, a hands-on orientation can save days on precious vacation time. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we certainly hope to be back again!

A little slice of Heaven

This place is AMAZING, The view is breathtaking, the house is stocked so well you need nothing, just food. Check-in was flawless, we arrived a bit late. Lots of wildlife, we heard Howler Monkeys, Toucans, birds everywhere. We loved the pool. And we always used the outside shower, so cool. Definitely rent this place !! Overall Spectacular already thinking about coming back.

Location-Location-Location - Birds -Birds-Birds

What a stunning location, up a paved road 5km off the main highway from Uvita. The view is incredible, with a beautiful outdoor area, including a lovely pool. Chelsea the property manager is outstanding, super helpful not only taking care of things at the house but also providing so many recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area and beyond. She was in constant communication with us before and during our stay. We stayed in the house for 4 weeks, so really had an opportunity to spend time there and explore the area. The house is comfortable, especially the beds. However, with it being an older home (over 10 years now), some upgrades would benefit the home. There is not a functional dishwasher, nor a microwave, nor a grill or BBQ, which are relatively standard in most rentals now in the area. The wifi was quite good, we did pay for an upgrade to the wifi to ensure we had very high speed as we were both working remotely from there. Also, if you wish the house to be cleaned during the time you stay, you can pay for this to be done. The birds around the home are incredible, a real birders paradise. Would highly recommended if you are planning to go to Uvita. We absolutely loved Uvita as well, so many amazing restaurants to go to, we especially loved Mosaic (Wine Bar & Sushi) and Sibu (for breakfast). Thanks Chelsea for making our time at Casa Namaste so wonderful.

San Josecito was an undiscovered gem that is now gaining the recognition it has long deserved. The location is second to none with short drives to the restaurants, shopping, beaches, waterfalls and other attractions. The mountain has a small town feel.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

This home sits on over 6 acres and is perched over dramatic ocean and valley views. We have secondary forest running along the west side of the property which regularly brings monkeys and exotic birds to the property. When you aren't enjoying the local wildlife you have dramatic views of the ocean, valley or mountain peak.
