LOCATION - LOCATION - LOCATION - Bayside apartment on gorgeous Sail Bay. 30 feet from the water, an unobstructed water view. Located in North Mission Beach. A five minute walk to the beautiful Catamaran Resort. Two short blocks to the Ocean. Step out your door and walk, jog, bike, skate 15 miles of bayfront boardwalk and five miles of oceanfront boardwalk.

This unit is on the ground-floor of a duplex (owner lives upstairs) -- NOT a party house. Quiet area, great for families. Large private patio with gas barbecue, plenty of room for outdoor dining.

Bedroom #1 has a queen bed, plenty of closet space, mirrors, quiet and cool.

Bedroom #2 is large with two double beds, a TV, sink vanity and plenty of closet space. This room looks out to the bay. Enjoy the fabulous bay view from the kitchen and living room. The living room has a beautiful wall of mirror, and a very large bay window. Enjoy the Sea World fireworks from your easy chair.

Public transportation one block. La Jolla, Sea World, Zoo, Airport, and all major attractions within minutes away. Shopping and great restaurants within walking distance.

Wonderful place to recover. We love the views of the beautiful sunrises over the water rite out the front window. Everyone was very friendly. Perfect for people watching on the patio. It was nice to be able to do laundry.

Perfect, cozy beach house for a family vacation

This is a cozy, clean, charming little gem with an optimal location for family beach fun! The Owner, Terry, had great communication and made sure we understood where everything was. The patio opens right out on a Mission Bay boardwalk which is a lovely walk, and if you take a 2 minute walk across Mission Boulevard, you’re right on the open ocean in Mission Beach. This was perfect for us because it felt so safe with little guy to have a protected body of water right there, but the ocean if we wanted to see it.10 mins to Seaworld and not much further to Balboa Park and the Zoo, etc, and not far south of LaJolla by car. We rented a minivan, and although there’s not a parking space included, Terry told us about a great place to find street parking. we were able to park in the spot every day and take the bay walk back to the house, which was lovely. Definitely recommend! And say hi to Terry for us.

Paradise away from home!

We had a fantastic stay. The Mission Bay beach was the front yard and what a view. Beautiful blue water and great soft sand. My son loved to play in the sand, you could watch him from the beautiful extra large window. Our other son enjoyed throwing to football on the beach. What a view to see sunrises and sunsets. Great to walk our dog. Neighbors to the side were so kind to our children and always gave a bone to all the dogs. There was a gyro restaurant within walking distance that was so good and a great value. Many other restaurants within walking distance. Grocery store was .6 miles and had everything we needed. Thanksgiving dinner there was wonderful and we ate desert on the patio with the view. The ocean was about 10 houses down and we walked everyday to boogie board or see the sunset! The beds were comfortable. The house had heat and air. There were also ceiling fans in the bedroom. We did not want for anything. The owner lives upstairs and gave us our privacy, but when we did see each other, she was a joy to talk with. She was friendly and took the time to make sure we had what we needed. While there wasn't any parking on property, we easily found street parking a beautiful short walk along the beach to return to the house. It is a retreat to enjoy! We will be back.

Fabulous stay

It was our third stay at this property, which is perfect for a family of four. Perfect location on a quiet area of the bay and lovely lady who lives upstairs and lovely neighbors in adjacent properties. Plus the house has lots of beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys, which saves us from having to pack or rent. The kitchen is well equipped and the unit is clean. Looking forward to coming back!

Great time!

The property was in a great location and we had so much fun. The only challenge was parking. We found consistent parking about a quarter mile away. Due to walking issues of a few in our group this was a challenge. If walking is not an issue this works great. If walking distances is an issue just know parking will be a challenge. Other then parking we loved our stay. The location is close to great restaurants and relaxing on the beach and bay. Loved the outside space.

Graduation Weekend

Terry is the most amazing Hostess!! She checked in with us before our stay and greeted us to show us around the home. This stay was perfect!! We walked around the bay every day, went to the beach that is blocks away, enjoyed local restaurants and had a quiet getaway from the craziness of Graduation Weekend! Sitting on the porch and people watching is our favorite. Terry had everything we needed including beach towels and chairs along with games to play. This is a quiet spot and honestly perfect! It feels like a home away from home! We will be back soon!!

Great Location View And Host At Mission Beach

We had a wonderful trip to mission beach and Terry couldn’t have been more helpful before and throughout our stay. We’ll stay there again next time we have a free week and want to enjoy being right on the bay!

Awesome place - would stay again

Terry's place is perfect. We are a family of 4 with two teenage daughters. The location is idea, nice and quiet and close to everything. We rented bikes and rode everywhere. I would happily recommend Terry's place for couples and small families. I would absolutely stay there again.

Love this location and set up

Great location right on the walking path and sandy beach. Easy walking distance to Mission beach as well. Rent a bike and you can bike anywhere! Such a nice set up, very comfy beds, lovely sunrise views every morning. Terry was so nice and helpful. Highly recommend.

Right on the beach!

This house had a great location right on the beach. Walk out the door, cross the side walk and you're in the sand. And 5-10 min walk to ocean. The advantages to this were a beautiful view, and easy access to the beach, water and walking path. The disadvantage is that the walking path is right outside the one bedroom and people walk, jog and skate by early in the morning until late at night. Also, all neighbors are very close. One neighbor had a very large, loud party one night but at least it ended by 10pm or so. The house was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but it served us well. Terry was very kind and met us to check us in and was available for all questions. The only problem was that there was no parking. We could pull up to load and unload but then had to park a 10-15 min walk away. This was a challenge with my elderly father.

Stay right on the Bay!

Location, location, location! If you want to be by the beach, you are front and center on the quiet bay side of Pacific Beach! Watch the world go by in your big window or from your private patio…with your pup by your side! Clean and quaint, it’s a beachy little retreat you will enjoy, and Terry is a wonderful host!

Unschlagbare Lage

Ruhig gelegen an der Bayside. Kids konnten toll im Wasser und im Sand spielen und wir konnten SUP fahren oder einfach 5 min rüber an den Pazifik laufen und etwas Boogie Boarden (alles in der Unterkunft vorhanden). Mega? Grill auf der Terrasse und gut ausgestattete Küche. Bad eher kleiner aber ausreichend. Allein das Parken mit unserem riesigen Miet-SUV war nicht immer so einfach, aber schlussendlich haben wir immer einen Parkplatz in 5 min Laufentfernung gefunden. Vermieter waren toll und haben bei allem unterstützt.

Great location

Best location in the bay (from an experienced renter in the area). Owners were friendly and accommodating and they had all the beach toys we needed, which was really nice. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Perfect for a family of 5. We would stay here again. Only drawback is the plumbing is a little finicky, but for the price, this property can't be beat.

Beautiful property

This beach home was a wonderful destination for our family of six. The location was awesome, quiet, but still close to many shops and restaurants. The property itself was charming, and had all we needed for our five day stay. It was a short walk to Mission/Pacific Beach. It is steps away from the bay/sand. It is a wonderful place for families with small kids to play and spend time. The big picture window is so lovely to look out and enjoy the bay view. Terry was a wonderful host and we will be back!

Excellent beach getaway!

We had a great few days at the beach. Love the location. Even though the weather was less than perfect, it was still a relaxing few days. So many great food options close by. And when the sun came out, sitting on the beach right outside of the place was perfect.

Bayfront!

Beautiful location right on the path along the bay. The bed was very comfortable and the views were wonderful- Fantastic location… we walked to multiple coffee shops and never needed a car! Spent most of our time on the lovely side patio! Terry was a sweet host and even allowed me early check in! Very kind!

Very nice

We greatly enjoyed this place. Wonderful location on a narrow strip of land between the ocean and Mission Bay. Being on the bay side, it was calmer and warmer than the ocean side, and certainly less busy. And if you want to walk on the ocean beach, it’s just a few short blocks away. The bike and walking path goes literally right by the unit, so you can easily get anywhere. There are all kinds of electric or non-motorized conveyances to rent nearby, and a lot of trails to use. You can rent sail boats on the bay but it requires a two-hour certification class. I should’ve done that right away because the bay is perfect for small–boat sailing. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops within a few blocks. Parking is slim to none nearby, but we were always able to find spots within a quarter mile. We also found our host to be delightful, very flexible and accommodating and we enjoyed chatting with her.

Fantastic location with a large window looking out directly onto Mission Bay. Great for people-watching! Terry was a lovely host. We made good use of the beach chairs and beach games. Highly recommend.

November stay

Steps from Mission Bay and2 blocks from the ocean. Very clean and comfortable. On the negative side my dog was able to get out from the patio gates and parking was a big issue. Terry talked about this but for someone who is usually car dependent this was a big issue. Got a $50+ parking ticket because I parked on the wrong side of the street one day. Otherwise good location.

Perfect Location

This is a sweet little house in a perfect location on the Bay. Walkable to the ocean and many restaurants. Beautiful picture window and nice patio looking over the Bay. Terry our host lives upstairs and was available and easy to communicate with.

We are so blessed that my Grandmother Minnie bought this property for her home. For many years she lived in the downstairs unit and rented full time the upstairs apartment.
I have many fond memories of my years at her home. All of my 4 children have spent every summer from birth to adulthood in her apartment. In the early sixties she started renting 2 weeks every summer to a friends family. She would stay with my family. She would also house trade with my family and we would spend 4 weeks. This was the beginning of our summer rental experience. Minnie passed away in 1976 and I became owner. I continued renting, both to full time renters and some vacation renters. In 1986 my husband and I moved into the upstairs apartment full time. We began our weekly rental business around 1990. We built our first webpage, and the rest is history.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

She always had a lake house in Washington, so it was just natural for her to be by the Bay. Plus she could live on the property with a income producing apartment. We have gone full circle we live upstairs and rent the downstairs.

The benefit for us is having everything close. Fresh air, long walks right out your front door. The view is always changing, Sailboats, wind surfers, jet packs. A constant water show. Sail Bay has it all. We even have The beautiful Catamaran Hotel a few blocks North.
