Beach View Home on Cape San Blas


La Bella Vita: The Beautiful Life!


Come to the beach and unwind in this brightly decorated, 3 bedroom, 3 bath home. Each bedroom contains a flat screen TV and opens onto a private balcony, where you can sit back and enjoy sunrises and sunsets. A Beach Butler was installed Jan '21. (A Beach Butler is a lift designed to be attached to any existing house or commercial building for the purpose of raising or lowering up to 1000 pounds of cargo from ground level to the second or third floor.) There is a refundable deposit required to use the lift ($100).


The first-tier (one row back from the beach) home is only 100 steps from the back door to the private boardwalk which leads to the sugar white beaches and beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico.


A private pool (can not be heated) to relax in after a long day at the beach was added in October 2016.


La Bella Vita features a modern, stainless-steel kitchen with breakfast bar, an outdoor hot/cold shower, outdoor charcoal grill, picnic table on ground floor and teak patio table and chairs on the 1st floor. For those occasional summer showers, the living room contains a 51 inch flat screen TV and cozy couch with two sitting chairs. This property also has deeded access to St Joseph's Bay for fishing and so much more!


The top floor offers a gulf front King suite with private balcony and a 42 inch flat screen TV in the master bedroom. Also on the top floor is a queen bedroom, with a full bathroom, flat screen TV, and a private balcony with a bay view. The third bedroom has a queen bed, flat screen TV, private deck, and bay view. A bathroom with shower is just off this bedroom . For the convenience of those with children, there is an area that has been designed with bunk beds.

The location is ideal—just a short walk to the beach, which made getting there with kids a breeze. After a day in the sand and sun, the pool was the perfect way to wind down each night. It’s peaceful, convenient, and kid-friendly—absolutely perfect for our family. This was our second stay in this house and we love it! Coastal Joe makes it so easy with their link that provides suggestions and everything you need plus texting if you need anything is so convenient. We can’t wait to come back!

The beach was great and the water was warm. We loved that you could set up your tent whenever you wanted to on the beach. We also loved that you could make a fire on the beach at night so we had s’mores on the beach, that was great! The places to eat around the Villa were great! Plus the Trading Post had all of the groceries we needed for our entire stay.

The House was clean and beautiful and was well equipped with everything we needed. The people at Coastal Joe were great to deal with. Any questions we had while we were, there were answered quickly. We have already told our family and friends what a great place it was.but since we would love to come back again, we may not tell everyone, hahahaWe treated this place like our own and tried to care for it in the same manor that the owners obviously care for this beautiful property.While we were there it was quiet and we enjoyed being close to the beach but still back enough to enjoy some privacy. The balconies and sunsets were amazing! And the Pool was a perfect addition to our stay. Please convey our thanks to the owners for Us!Mark and Sabine Horton

Our Favorite Stay Yet!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was exactly what our family of 7 was looking for! The house was great with lots of room for everyone. The screened porch was fantastic for meals and the master deck had a stunning view of the ocean! Since the properties to the left of the home are undeveloped it limits the congestion at the beach which we appreciated. The walk to the beach is short and not a problem at all. The pool was a great addition to the stay as well. The downside to the pool was that is was pretty warm and without an umbrella it could get a little intense during the day so we didn't use it quite as much as I'd anticipated. The amenities in the house were as described and as you'd expect in a rental home. I would suggest buying/bringing plastic cups as all cups were glass so I didn't like the idea of bringing them out to the pool area. :) The cleaning station was much appreciated as my husband caught fish for us to eat everyday so that was a treat!The home is very close to both the Trading Post and Scallop Cove which was lovely! Scallop Cove has great donuts that they make to order and we highly recommend them! Coneheads was a favorite spot for ice cream and their food was fantastic as well! Cape San Blas itself is by far and away our favorite place to vacation and this home may have just become our new favorite place to stay!

The house was perfect- clean, perfect location to the beach, great pool for our kids, and overall more than we could’ve imagined. The rental company was fabulous to work with- super responsive and very helpful. Will definitely book this same house through same company again for our vacation next year!! Thank for for making our weeklong vacation amazing!

I know it’s listed as 3 bedroom, but the “space” where the bunk beds were was very private and spacious. (Unlike some places that just have bunk beds tucked in a random corner). We were within walking distance to Scallop Cove when we needed firewood and often walked the beach to visit the ice cream shop. The house was clean and stocked with more spices and cleaning supplies than expected. The pool was great in the evening after the sunset. There’s not a lot of shade by the pool, so early or later in the day was more enjoyable. We had two small issues that required calling maintenance and they were both addressed immediately. The house was ready before 4:00 and they text us that we could check in earlier. The only thing I could think that would improve this home would be a pantry! We cooked a lot and there wasn’t a great space to store dry goods, so they just kind of lived on the counter all week. *There is also new construction happening in front of this home, so the beautiful views will likely change. Even so, I would still book it again!

We have stayed in this house before and love the location and convenience of it. Our only complaint would be the beds, not the mattress but the box springs in the downstairs bedroom, every time you move they squeak and are loud, we also found this bedroom to be really warm compared to the other parts of the house.

Great views of the gulf and the bay. We ate our meals out on the screened in balcony every day. The only complaint I have is that the mattresses are uncomfortable and very noisy. I would stay here again.

Lovely place; Poor customer service

Something (probably the router mounted in the laundry room) shorted out, tripped the circuit breaker & sent smoke into the kitchen. Had to leave the breaker off, due to it continuing to smoke & smell as something was burning. Therefore we lost most power on main floor. This was during tornado warnings also. Called management & they did offer to let us spend the rest of the night somewhere else. Said they would try to get an electrician out in the morning. Since it was after midnight & we were experiencing Hurricane Sally’s effects, we opted not to try to find the other place offered in the dark & pounding wind & rain. During another tornado warning, we discovered we didn’t have water anymore. Tried to call management, but all 3 #’s went straight to voicemail. Left messages with each number, asking them to return call. No one did. Waited till 8 a.m. & called office & left message. Told them we were leaving because we had no water now in addition to the other problem. Got a TEXT an hour later while we were driving home, telling the electrician would be there. They obviously never listened to any of the messages because they didn’t know we had gone. These things were out of their control, but their customer service was POOR. The house could have caught on fire. They never called to check on us & apparently turned their phones off because they went directly to voicemail- all 3 of the emergency #’s! It’s would have been a nice thing for them to have reached out with a phone call instead of a text. Would like to revisit the area, but won’t rent through them again. There are other rental companies.

Absolute Paradise

The home was clean and comfortable and just steps away from the almost secluded white sandy beach. The pool was an added bonus for the grandkids. The views from the decks were amazing. You had a gulf view on one side and bay view on the other. The area itself was laid back and so relaxing but there was still so much to do and anything you needed was available. My family will absolutely be visiting this house and using Coastal Joes again in the future.

Amazing Family Memories

La Bella Vita was perfect for our family and in a perfect location. We enjoyed a beautiful beach and breathtaking sunsets. It was actually a closer walk to the beach than we anticipated. The house was nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with items needed to prepare our meals. We loved having the table on the screened porch to enjoy our meals together. The kids really enjoyed having our own pool where they could splash and play. The only maintenance issues we encountered during our stay we reported to the rental company. We were able to make do without the icemaker and the disposal on the sink so it was not that big of a deal for us. The interactions we had with Coastal Joe was very pleasant. I had several emails with Brittany and she was very nice. We definitely loved our stay at this house and look forward to hopefully being able to stay in it again in the future.
