All you need is a good dose of Vitamin Sea. Welcome to the newly renovated Shipwatch Condo located ocean front. Inside the décor is comfortable and inviting for your ocean side retreat. Shipwatch has a community pool, private boardwalk leading to the beach and a place to grill or eat outside. Unit 113 will be the place you return time and time again.

THE SPACE
The living space is open concept with a dining room, living room with a smart TV and a nicely equipped kitchen with 4 bar stools. Outside is a covered patio area with comfy seating and party lights creating the perfect ambiance.
The Space:

Bedroom 1 – King (sleeps 2), TV, and ensuite bathroom

Bathroom 1 – ensuite bathroom

Bedroom 2 – Queen (sleeps 2), TV, shares hall bathroom

Bathroom 2 – Shared hall bathroom with combination tub/shower

Common sleeping space – living room sofa bed (sleeps2)

Gas Grills are available in the common space, just through the pool gate. The HOA has three gas grills and three picnic tables for your use.

We're located mid-beach - halfway between the St Simons Pier Village and East Beach. This stretch of beach is not tide dependent and has plenty of walking distance in both directions. We're walking distance to local restaurant favorites like Crab Daddy's, Barrier Island Brewing, Fiddlers, and Porch.

Beach Gear Included!: This home offers beach gear such as beach chairs and beach towels FREE for your use! Bikes, carts, paddleboards and more are available for rent locally, discount included. There are no fees or surcharges attached to your reservation.

Pets: This is not a pet friendly home.

Elevator: This property offers an elevator. As a residential elevator it is not guaranteed to be ADA compliant.

No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.

Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend (last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.

No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.

The instructions were comprehensive and arrival went smooth. It is a bit of a hike to the beach and if it rains it is more difficult. The condo was clean but like most it lacked some essentials like a basic cleaning spray. The salt and pepper (I don't expect more) were not new and new costs ver little. Cooking pans were limited but we made do. This condo is comfortable for 2 adults and maybe 1-2 children, anymore and it would be a bit small. The beach towels were good, as were the beach chairs (4 were provided), but no umbrellas?!? There was a small shelter provided and if you had small children it would be useful. Since we were a Father/Son adult trip not so much. Anytime we contacted the manager support the response was friendly and prompt. ait seems most, if not all of the condos on St Simon are some distance from the beach and many had bodies of water blocking access to the beach, a hike but no pond in the way from this condo. Overall, a very good experience.

St Simon’s condo

Overall, our stay was wonderful. Loved the condo and the amenities. Did not get to enjoy the beach very much however. It was quite a trek from the condo. Much further than was expected. Because of this we spent most of the time at the pool. There was also construction going on the entire week at the property. They would start early in the morning so we had to buy earplugs so the kids could sleep. I couldn’t let my daughter and her friend (15 and 16) walk alone on the property because the workers made them feel uncomfortable. None of this is a knock on the property as it was great. We really loved the calm and laid back atmosphere overall. We loved the island and all the great restaurants and food options. We will definitely return to the area in the future.

Nice stay

Great location and nicely updated . However, the condo could use a deep clean . The floors were still dirty upon arrival with food on the kitchen floors . All of the walls needs to be wiped down and curtains / shower curtains could use a wash . Great location and easy access to beach. Could just have been cleaner

St. Simon Island is a very fun place to spend a couple days or several days but combine it with Jekyll Island as well.

Secret piece of Heaven

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this property. Many more pros than cons, so I’ll list some of each! Pros: very clean, starter supplies PLUS extra pantry supplies, very clean and comfortable furniture in all rooms (including living room and dining room), very quiet (here during Spring Break and basically no noises anywhere!), nice appliances, loved the new washer/dryer, nicely decorated, easy check-in and check-out, great little binder with info Cons: Could use a good scrubbing on the floor closet tracks in the master bathroom, mildew on the shower liner (it happens!), and screen and sliding door to balcony was a little hard to maneuver. This wasn’t really a problem for us because it prevented our 1 year old from opening it. Would definitely love to come back here. Thank you!

Great Location

This was advertised exactly like it said. It's very nice conco and sitting on the covered porch is great way to relax. It's a quiet area yet close to everything. We didn't stay inside very much because we were busy walking on the beach, shopping, and eating downtown. The master bed was very comfortable.

Enjoyed our stay

Place was decorated nicely, especially liked the furniture placement. Kings size bed is nice to have in main bedroom, but it was much too soft for my back. Ended up sleeping in the other bedroom which had a much firmer mattress. Nice large Tv with netflix. Pool water was much cleaner and clearer this year.

NO phone number for help!!

Our code would not unlock door to our unit. No phone number to help us. No manger on property. We ended up finding a handy man to help us. It then took 1 hour in heat of 100 to get in our unit. The owner was very nice and helpful but if we had had a phone number. It would have been so much easier. Will never go through an online reservation again. I will go through local realtors

Ship watch Condo #113

The condo that we rented was really nice and cozy! The beds were nice and soft and the couch was amazing as well. We enjoyed nights out on the little balcony talking or playing cards the pool was nice and it wasn’t a bad little nature walk down to the beach! I would so recommend people to try out the ship watch condo it’s really cool and amazing.

Enjoyed our stay!

Perfect location and unit for our group of 4 for Spring Break! Precious condo that we loved very much! Loved that the kids were close to the beach and could bike to town. Parking lot was the only challenge as sometimes there were no open spaces. However, all was quiet in this location! We will definitely book again!

We didn't want to leave!

A little smaller than expected. Decor was very tasteful. We loved it, unfortunately it was a little chilly, we didn't get to enjoy the pool. Would love to stay again, very relaxing. Our only complaints, were that the patio doors and screens were very difficult to open.

Nice Property by the Beach

The property was nicely furnished and had all items needed for a family’s stay, including plenty of beach towels and beach chairs. The proximity to the ocean was nice, and the beach itself was large, pretty and uncrowded.

Overall Fantastic

Overall fantastic stay. 4 nights with my family of four (1 year old and 3 year old). Communication ahead of the visit with Misty was spot on. She was very helpful and replied to most emails within 5 minutes. We rented a golf cart which was easy to park at the unit and this was a huge hit. Highly recommend. Pros: The unit was great. Very clean and had a lot of the little extras that you would usually have to run out and get last minute: olive oil, plastic wrap, Tupperware, salt/pepper, cream/sugar, kids plastic plates/cups/utensils. There is a Keurig and 6 kcups were provided. Comfy couch, large tv, great outdoor sitting area, overall great location on the island. Great no-frills salt water pool that the kids loved. Beach chairs and a few sand toys were also provided. Cons: there were no MAJOR cons, hence my 5 star rating. Just small items to note: previous reviews mentioned a beach umbrella—not a big deal but it is no longer present. Walk to the beach seemed to get longer at the week went on, probably 7-10 minutes so also not a big deal for most. Dish sponge was pretty used. Only one laundry pod provided and you are asked to start a load of towels upon departure, so no extras—be sure to bring your own laundry detergent. Same wish the dishwasher—but thankfully a previous guest had left a few pods for us to use. Soap and shampoo dispensers in the showers were mostly empty. Again—these are minor things that ate certainly not deal breakers and sometimes even to be expected when renting a Vrbo, but felt worth noting to give future guests a heads up. At the end of the day the place was generally fantastic and we had a wonderful time away with family
