We stayed here for a second year in a row and absolutely loved it! The home is bright, clean and comfortable. The family dining and meeting area saw fun get-togethers with delicious food. The yard is so beautiful and perfect for a fast-paced family game of badminton. It is just a short walk to the stunning, boulder-strewn beach, or, in the other direction, some very wonderful farm stands (with fresh vegetables, fruits, sandwiches, breads, pies, dairy delicacies, and assorted gift shops!) Incredibly, Long Island experienced no hurricanes this year. But of course, THERE WAS that 'week-long' Nor'easter in late September; the likes of which we hadn't seen in 35 years. This lovely home was rock solid, dry and toasty-warm through the whole storm. We awoke in the first week of October to find the beach completely re-configured. There were some big surprises. But alas, The Sunsets are still spectacular. One finds oneself taking several walks a day just to keep tabs on what is happening at each tide!! (LOL). The Host's well-written guidebook is wonderful, and she is easy to reach if one has a question. Scientifically, we are still trying to figure out why food tastes so good after a long swim? It is very strange. We'll have to come back next year to investigate this phenomena further.
