Welcome to Dolphy Dunes East, a spacious and comfortable beach duplex offering the perfect blend of relaxed coastal charm and convenience. Located on the quiet Fort Morgan peninsula, known for its uncrowded beaches and laid-back atmosphere, this three-bedroom, two-bath home comfortably sleeps up to eight guests and is ideal for families or small groups seeking a peaceful beach getaway away from the crowds.


Designed for easy living, the home is thoughtfully furnished and equipped with modern amenities to make your stay both comfortable and stress-free. The inviting living space provides a great place to relax after a day at the beach, whether you’re unwinding indoors or gathering with family and friends.


The primary bedroom features a king bed and offers a restful retreat at the end of the day. The second bedroom includes a queen bed, while the third bedroom provides flexible sleeping arrangements with a queen bed, a twin bed, and a twin rollaway—perfect for kids or additional guests.


Step outside and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding the property, from manicured grounds with palm trees to miles of pristine white-sand shoreline just steps away. Spend your days shelling, strolling along the beach, or relaxing in the hot tub while soaking in the coastal breeze. Wireless internet is available throughout the home for added convenience.


Dolphy Dunes East is within easy walking distance of the Gulf Shores Marina, where guests can enjoy charter fishing trips, kayak and pontoon rentals, Jet Skis, and a restaurant serving fresh local seafood. Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventure or a quiet place to unwind, this Fort Morgan retreat offers a comfortable and memorable coastal escape.


You must be 25 or older to book this property. No smoking, no parties or events.
This home is dog-friendly, small dogs only. Limit two dogs. The following breeds are prohibited by the association by-laws: Doberman, Rottweiler, Chow, or Pit Bull. To book a pet friendly property, you MUST call the office Monday-Friday between 9-5. YOU CANNOT BOOK A PET FRIENDLY PROPERTY ONLINE.
Rules for renting with a dog:
-Your dog must be older than 9-months.
-Your dog must always remain on a leash when outside of the house.
-You must clean up after your dog.
-No excessive barking.
-Paid pet fee of $120 PER PET
Failure to follow these rules WILL result in immediate eviction of you or your dog, with no returned money.

We enjoy the community, the lodging, and the beach. Dolphy Dunes is one of our favorite places to stay as it is just the right amount of space for our family. Sunset Properties (Becky) is considered a true friend of the family and is wonderful to work with every year. Loved our stay!

There was lots of living space ....three bedrooms and two bathrooms..nice size kitchen and comfortable furniture...pool next door and walking distance to the beach and we have it reserved again next year. One thing, the kitchen really could use some better pots and pans however. Also, this year we had no outside lighting on our deck. Made it somewhat difficult when coming home in the dark. Otherwise very nice place to stay.

Family Vacation

This property was exactly as listed! Right next to the pool and hot tub and 1 minute to the beach which by the way was pristine! If we wanted to be tourists we could drive to Gulf Shores and have everything at our fingertips. Our trip was about gathering and building memories and boy did we!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Would not recommend

Sunset properties is a joke. Started off they listed a property they hadn’t managed in 1.5 years that I reserved just to get refunded money a month later with no explanation to why. Will not respond to messages via Vrbo. Unit was not ready on time, blood drops leading up the steps all the way to a smudge of blood on master bath door, stained comforter, stained living room furniture, trash in dresser drawers, bunk beds not made (“for sanitary reasons”), 1 toilet paper roll per bath for the 7 day stay, little cheap bars of soap, 1 trash bag for entire stay, no dish soap, (they only supply a “starter kit”) no beach stuff, AC drain dumps out onto the front steps, all around not clean, sand all over the floor. Location was great. Close to beach. Pool was nice. King and queen beds were comfortable, kids bed were ok. Paid $4k for this was in my opinion way over priced. Had no choice really since rest of our family booked a house next to our original reservation.

Grandchildren May Beach Trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great, but short trip (5 days) with grandchildren! Big plus - "home allowed dogs" - who are also our "pet-children." Home was nice, clean & right next door to home owners' shared pool (pool okay, not great). Was a short walk to beach & the offered "optional/additional cost" beach rental 'tent & 4 chairs' set-up was great & eliminated lugging items back & forth to beach. Only downside or rental (which we were well aware of when we rented) was the distance down Fort Morgan Road (almost to where ended at the Fort & ferry launch), & driving time to restaurants, shopping, Gulf Shores, etc. We will definitely consider renting the home again because of reasonable cost & since it is 1 of few places where you can bring pets & they are allowed on the beach, but grandchildren will probably want something closer to activities.

Area Perfect

The unit was easily accessible to the beach and the area we like to stay at. It could have been cleaner, the air vent in the ceiling was full of dust, I am not sure when the last filter had been changed. There was food under the sofa and TV stand, and dog food in the kitchen cabinet. I like the location and understand they are having a hard time getting good cleaning staff.

The ease of arriving and leaving was seamless through the app. All the appliances and furniture were fine and in good shape. The only issue we had was with the pool next door to our house. The pool was closed the entire time we were there and did not get any maintenance until the day we were leaving. Disappointing for the kids as they were expecting to use it in the late afternoon. With the rental description listed as “Next to pool”, that’s a bit of a letdown. I reported the pool the first day we were there but nothing was done to it for 5 days and it still was not operating when we left. Other than that, everything was great.

The only issues were that the pool wasn't open the 1st 2 days but we were able to go to the neighboring pool. The tile floors were dirty, the kitchen table was sticky and there were a few items under the sofas that should have been thrown away with the previous cleaning, but they were easy to clean myself.

When was the last time this was cleaned?

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental did not look as if it had been cleaned, at all. Bathrooms were satisfactory. Beds had been clean linens available, and towels were clean, BUT, Dust was thick on main TV, and entire TV Stand. Floors under bed in bunk room had used tissues piled under the beds. (We did not touch them). Found half eaten brownie (hard as a rock) btw. table and left end of couch.Dining table was sticky, as were countertops.The washer has major problems. When becoming off balance, it sounded as if all of the gears were stripping out, and I am surprised the tile floor is not badly cracked. It was horrible.

Very short, easy walk to the beach. Master bedroom bed was excellent! Loved Sassy Bass restaurant just down the road. Suggest new cookware (we had to go buy a couple pieces) and living room furniture (dingy and stained). Would also be nice to have a patio table and chairs on one of the decks. Overall, we would stay in this home again.

We enjoyed the house. Great location. House was great. We enjoyed the property very much. Very roomy and offered everything we needed. The only drawback was the slipcovers on sofa could use washing. Dog hair from another guest was there. We would love to stay there again.
