We rated everything as excellent except the property description - it was better! The listing only said 1 and 1/2 baths, but there were two full baths. The cottage interior was clean and well kept.We always drove to town, but for walking there was the short walk to the Mentone Brow Park and back. The screened back porch and outer deck allowed for quiet mornings and relaxing evenings looking out over Valley Head. We only got to see one sunset, but it was gorgeous!

We will stay again . The house itself was very clean and comfy. The outside property needs some cleaning up and landscaping. The view is lovely but I really hope they consider trimming the trees that block it. Other than that we enjoyed the stay!

The house was as advertised and perfect for our family. It was such a relaxing and peaceful stay. The Host was great with communications anytime I messaged them. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

The house was very clean and quiet. The owners were very quick to respond to all of my messages. The view off the back porch was not as good as advertised due to the height of the trees and we did not have access to a washer and dryer while there. Otherwise, we had a very nice stay at this house!

Girls getaway

The cottage was easy to find and the view from the back deck was amazing! The beds were comfortable and everything was clean and well equipped! We had to cut our visit short due to incoming storms but Seth and Emmye were super nice and responsive. Would definitely rent again!

Great cottage; Awesome view!

The property was great. The view was amazing. The pictures online were great, but the actual property far exceeded the pictures. This was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. We couldn't have been more pleased.

cozy cottage with a killer view

Perfect for a get away weekend especially for a couple. Has everything you need for a perfect get away. The view is on the brow and over looks the valley. the sound of the train going through the valley is so comforting. And a super comfy king size bed. Close enough to walk to brow park or to the cute shop and the Wild flower cafe.

Awesome Gettaway

This quick birthday weekend getaway was perfect. The ambiance arriving was welcoming as music was playing. The lights were just right and the gorgeous view of Lookout Mountain was breathtaking. The host thought of everything we needed and what we might need. Location, location, location. Couldn’t be better?

We loved this house! We plan to stay here again next year. We rented a house on the same street last year, and we were worried this house wasn’t going to live up to the other one. It was a little bit smaller than the other house, but we ended up enjoying it more. We chose this house because it is dog friendly. Our dog enjoyed the porch and deck the most of anyone. It is quaint, cozy, and full of character. It was well stocked too with items like dish pods, soap, and coffee. One thing to note is that it does not have a washer/dryer. This did not matter to us as we only had a 3 night stay. Our 4 year old son was able to ride his bike up and down the flat scenic street. Can’t wait to stay again next year!

first time to do this and left me with great feeling about doing it again.

The only complaint we had was no lighting in driveway. Very hard to determine at night with trees and concrete wall. Other than that excellent stay. Thank you again for all the patience you took with me booking for my first experience!!!

We never heard from the hosts as to how to check in. I tried to call and text them many times on our trip there and the night before. Finally , I got someone from VRBO to give us the door code about an hour before we arrived. Very stressful! The weather was bad and we weren’t sure we had a place to stay. The cabin was clean and lovely! We ate sandwiches in the room because restaurants were closed until Thursday and we got there on Sunday. All views of the brow were covered in fog. No one could help that, though. I don’t think we will go back and it was our fourth visit to the area. Not a good experience. It took a long time to get the tv working. The instructions left were not helpful. We left a message to have someone call us about the tv but heard from no one .

This house is charming, has a wonderful deck and view and was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. The downside was that we checked in on Thursday evening and didn’t get a WiFi password until the next afternoon. I had to contact the rental company who in turn had to search for it. It was not written anywhere in the house. The second issue were the instructions to operate the TVs and DVD player….they were terrible and we basically had to figure it out on our own with 3 different remotes. It took a long time to work it out. Lastly, we were told ahead of time that we would have a regular coffee pot so we purchased coffee and filters. However, when we arrived we discovered a Keurig…..we then had to go purchase pods. On the morning of day 2, the Keurig wouldn’t work because it needed to be descaled which we were unable to do. Had to go out for coffee. Overall, our weekend was nice but the above-mentioned issues were a problem. I’m pretty sure I won’t rent this cabin again.
