Fantastic Yosemite rental with wifi

Secluded on eleven acres nestled amongst the Oaks and Pines, our studio loft Old Oak Hideaway I, is awaiting your pleasure. This studio has everything you will need for a quiet getaway. A fully equipped kitchen, Wireless internet, Netflix is available for on demand movies and tv programs or access other streaming options via the ROKU tv. The Loft is children friendly, but not childproof.

You may see many of the wild animals we have wondering the property at times, deer, fox, coyote, wild turkey and others. We also have a German Shepherd, Charlie, and mix breed, Ahnni and a Shih Tzu, Buffy that roam freely on the property. They are friendly, but Charlie does sometimes bark at people initially. Once he takes a sniff he will be your best friend. We do ask that they are not allowed to enter the unit. We also have three cats that roam around as well.

Great stay!

Clean, cozy place! Would stay here again for sure! We couldn’t get the heater to work and we were really cold sleeping, but other than that, everything was great!

Great place to stay!

The Loft was perfect for our trip to Yosemite. It was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Shell was very accommodating and easy to work with.

Superbly presented property

The facility was really well presented, clean and cosy. The beds were comfortable and quite easily accommodated our family of four. The host also provided a choice of entertainment - Netflix, Amazon Prime, and DVDs for the so inclined (our young adult children were quite pleased with this)Well equipped kitchen meant that we were able to quickly prep meals as required. The bathroom was also very clean and well presented. Overall, we've had a great two nights in this place. I worried highly recommended it for others. If I do come back to Yosemite, this would definitely be my pick of accommodation. Shell has done an awesome job and thought of virtually everything. I have no hesitation in giving her my highest recommendation as a host.

Cute and Cozy Rental

We loved our stay here! The place had lots of easy-to-forget necessities and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes/cookware/utensils. The porch area and fire pit would be especially nice in summer, and the views of the mountains from the windows and property were stunning even for our winter stay!

Perfect spot

Neat, clean, conveniently located, all mod cons, everything spotless and shiny, and kudos+++ to Shell for providing both smoke and co alarms (the first Vrbo I've ever stayed at that had them, I carry my own). This is an awesome place, I can't say enough.

A stay in the country

We enjoyed our stay in Old Oak Hideaway while visiting Yosemite and Giant Oak Sequoias. It was clean, cosy, country, casual and perfect for our short stay in the area. The owner was very helpful with guidance to area attractions and available for questions as we had them. The dogs were friendly and ready to play at the drop of a ball. I would use again if visiting in that area.

Felt like home

We stayed here with our kids during a road trip to Yosemite and it was perfect. The owner loves on-site and was super friendly and accessible. The unit is very family friendly and there were even toys and scooters for my kids to play with. We also loved meeting Charlie who was so friendly!! At night we could see more stars than we’d ever seen. Location is also close to the town of Mariposa which has shops and restaurants. Great stay

Perfect spot

Located close to the eastern and southern entrances to Yosemite. Also close to Mariposa center where yarts busses can take you into the park at reasonable senior rates. Shell, our host, was quick to respond and very helpful in suggesting eating and grocery spots. Clean and well stocked and quiet. Thanks Shell. John and Dianna

Cozy Loft

We stayed at the loft for a business trip. The loft was quiet, clean and well stocked with kitchen and bath necessities. Shell was a gracious host. We had a power outage while out during one day and she was ready with extension cords and her generator if necessary - thankfully the power returned before we returned for the evening. We would highly recommend the location, facilities and the host.

Nothing 'old' about this lovely studio!

Make no mistake, there is nothing old about this gem. It is a well appointed studio with full kitchen and bath. The surroundings are serene and the owners are delightful and have ensured attention to every detail. We have stayed here many times and will continue to stay here anytime we visit Yosemite. Great Resting Spot

The listing was as advertised and the host was very responsive to all questions. The location was about an hour drive from Yosemite. For us, it wasn't a problem because we like to have eating options and the closer you get to the park, the less options you have. There are two towns within a 15 minute drive from the listing that have several local places to eat. We stayed at this location for a week. It would have been nice if the listing had a washer and dryer available as we went through a lot of clothes hiking everyday and the laundry mat option is a hassle. However, I would definetely choose this location again if I travle to Yosemite. Thanks Shell!

my fiancé and i appreciated that the place was clean, kitchen was fully stocked, and all appliances were functioning properly. however, please be cautious if you use the provided condiments. we had found that the cooking oils have been expired since last year. i suggest that guests bringing your own condiments to be safe & for the host to keep track of the lifespan of the condiments. unfortunately, we did not have the best welcome from the host. it was over 100F and we had a challenging time getting reception so we decided to go to the place 30 mins earlier than check-in and wait in our car just to ensure that we find the place and would be able to put in our perishables as soon as we are able to which is the 3pm check in time. Shell came up to is in our car and told us “hello? it isn’t 3pm yet?” to which we explained the situation. she just continued telling us how inappropriate we are for wanting to “watch her clean” (which we had no intention of doing). we told her that if she did not feel comfortable with us waiting then we could just drive elsewhere and we will be back at 3pm again. we explained to her that this was our first time using vrbo and we did not know that the host messages us from the vrbo app - so, we had no idea that it was a strict 3pm check in time. it was clearly a misunderstanding to which we had apologized for and would have appreciated if she had just kindly told us to be back after 3pm. it was upsetting to hear her calling us inappropriate and accusi

La estancia ha sido maravillosa. Shell nos ha puesto dl todas ls facilidades para hacer la entrada. El Loft tiene dos amplias camas y una cocina completamente equipada.És muy acogedoe. My bf and I stayed here two nights while visiting Yosemite NP. It was a little over an hour drive to the park but we didn’t mind because we were closer to a grocery store and restaurants! It was clean and the host was a quick responder to my messages. 10/10 would stay again.

Wonderful escape.

Such a wonderful, relaxing place to unwind and escape. It’s so quiet and clean. Shell was wonderful with getting in touch beforehand and providing directions. If I’m ever in the area, I would be staying again.

My husband and I met in beautiful Yosemite. When we would visit Yosemite we would stay in Mariposa and fell in love with the town. When the opportunity presented itself we both knew this is where we wanted to live the rest of our lives. The people are extremely friendly, the area is rich with history and you can't beat the beauty of Yosemite.
