Relax in style w/ access to Lake, Dock, Fire pit and Community Pool

Peaceful, rustic suite located inside a gated community, this new construction overlooks pristine Lake James and surrounding mountains. Enjoy morning views with your coffee, evening drinks from the cozy balcony, starlight at the fire pit and lazy days of swimming, picnicking, kayaking, or fishing from our private dock. Access to the community pool is just minutes away. Ask our manager for the list of nearby boat rentals to enjoy a day of fun on the water, a meal at the marina, or explore a state park on the lake. Our area offers lots of outdoor activities including hiking, biking, rock climbing, tubing, water sports, and much more. (See desk for travel info book/ brochures).

Our 1BR/1BA spacious apartment has it's own private covered entrance with onsite parking space. Relax with these features: queen bed, full kitchen, large spacuois bath, living area with work desk, balcony overlooking lake, washer and dryer, and gas grill. Shared outdoor spaces include access to firepit area, swing, glider, and lower deck of the private dock located onsite, but please NO boat docking allowed. Guests can also use to the nearby Community Pool and Picnic area with car parking.

We are conveniently located between Asheville and Charlotte, making us a perfect spot for day trips. Our area is referred to as Nature’s Playground near Pisgah National Forest, close to Linville Gorge, the Fonta Flora State Trail System, Shortoff Mountain, and Table Rock.

We are managed by a NC Broker and require full contact information on the responsible booking party. Please be sure to review the rental agreement attached to the platform prior to booking. We look forward to hosting you!

Nice efficiency above the garage of a beautiful lake house in a gated community. I had everything I needed in the efficiency. I enjoyed use of the kayaks and the dock.

Very clean and well decorated studio apartment on a beautiful peninsula on Lake James. Location is great. Kayaks available for use. We sat on the dock and had coffee in the morning.Only negative was a very large security deposit (2X the 3 days rental) held by the owner. As of this writing, I haven't gotten it back. We left the place spotless, and I expect to get it all back - just noting it was disproportionately large and return timing is unknown.

Thank you so much for the kind words about the apartment, location, and kayaks — we're so glad you enjoyed your mornings on the dock! We wanted to clarify the security deposit for you and anyone reading: VRBO offers two options at booking — a non-refundable $59 damage protection plan through their insurance company, or a refundable $1,500 deposit, also handled entirely by VRBO's insurance company. The amount and structure are set by VRBO's guidelines, so unfortunately we don't have the ability to lower the pricing on either option. Importantly, the funds never pass through us — they go directly to and are managed by VRBO's insurance company, who typically processes refunds within a few days of checkout. We have not filed any damage claim, as you left the place in absolutely spotless condition, and we truly appreciate that! Hopefully this explanation put your mind at ease! We hope to welcome you back to Lake James soon.

This apartment was clean and tidy. There were sufficient utensils/pans to do basic cooking. The owners allow use of kayaks, the dock and the firepit all of which were a great asset to the holiday. Such a quiet place to stay and great night skies when clear. Beautiful watching sunrise over the lake. Stunning location.

Beautiful property

We stayed 2 nights for our anniversary and it was amazing! The guest house is beautiful and looks brand new. The property outside is gorgeous! We really enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the water for most the day. When we were not kayaking we swam off the dock . The water off the dock is super deep and so clean it was just unlike any lake we have been to before.
