Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Southwest Harbor hidden gem

The house was comfortable and worked for our family attending a wedding in the area. It was close to the downtown area and Arcadia Seawall. The check in instructions were clear and house exactly as described.

House itself was fine for the group, check in was sent well ahead of time which was nice. It was however pretty dirty upon arrival. The master bed had dirty blankets that we had to wash and remake the bed ourselves. There were still conwebs around the house etc. This was frustrating since there is a cleaning fee that didnt seem to go to much.

Behind in maintenance but has lots of space

We had plenty of space for our family but the home is full of deferred maintenance and Vacasa was less than helpful. As you enter the property, you’ll be entering the door code next to the dumpster and then walking through a dirty cluttered garage up some old non-code steps into the kitchen. Not ideal or nice but large for the price.

It's ok.

House was clean and lawn was mowed. Those are the positives.Landscaping is untended and overgrown everywhere. Entrance to the house is through the garage which is still half filled with trash. Hot tub abandoned, gas fireplace disconnected. Pool is gone and the deck has a slapped together fence where the pool used to be. It is clear that the owners/management company did as little as possible to turn this from a home to a rental, left a bunch of random stuff in the garage and basement and called it a day. If you're sleeping here and nothing else it's fine. Otherwise I'm sure you can do better. my family won't use this house or Vacasa again if we can help it.

Not quite ready

It is very clear this house is being worked on and is newly rented. Although there is ample space and furniture for a group there are a number of projects that seem to be in progress and others that have yet to be addressed. The exterior appearance is less than inviting with a broken door and light fixture and extremely overgrown landscaping covering the visibility out the front windows and access to the front door and walkway. The amenities were sub par. There was a Tv but no cable or way to watch anything; furniture was nice but no rugs of any kind making it EXTREMELY loud and cold; the heat was not on upon arrival and freezing; and did not warm well; the washing machine smelled awful and not something we would use. Unlike many homes rented, there was no welcome book to address usage of amenities and procedures for checkout or any kind of local spots, etc. Overall it just did not seem ready to be on the market and had a very uninviting feel. We were rather disappointed.
