The house is great for entertaining or just for getting away from it all with a group of friends or family. With a gaming room, projection theatre room. Amazing outdoor hot for those nights you want to relax. We supply seasoned firewood for the indoor working fireplace.

Super spacious, great for group.

Had a group of friends and family book for engagement celebration. Lots of space and huge dinner table. Great basement and projector room we used for karaoke night. (We brought out own mic and speaker) Overall great for weekend to get a large group together.

Clean, spacious house with great management!

We booked this property on last minute notice, and were thoroughly pleased with it. It is a very spacious home with ample common space, including several living areas, a good-sized kitchen, and a very large dining room. There are 5 bedrooms, as well as an air mattress. Several sofas could sleep extra people, too. Full bathrooms on each floor are well appointed. There are plenty of towels, bedding, kitchen supplies, etc. The outdoor space is lovely, and although the home is in a neighborhood, it is extremely quiet; we felt very comfortable there. The grill and hot tub sit beside a nicely shaded patio. The gameroom was a huge hit with the kids ages 5-17, as well as the adults. The theater room is fantastic. Jim and Bert made sure we had everything we needed and answered any calls or texts promptly. The town is very small, but everything you need can be found in the neighboring town of Uxbridge, only a 10 minute drive away. Lake Simcoe is only 40 minutes away, as are plenty of farms. We can't wait to go back!

The perfect place for a family Christmas getaway

The house was beautiful and came equipped with everything we needed including linens and towels. The property manager, Bert, ensured everything was ready for our arrival and met us with the keys. The hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed, as was the outdoor fire pit. Kids had a ball sledding on the hill in the yard.. The dining area was big enough to seat our group of 12 comfortably. Bert was available by phone anytime we had questions, and responded promptly, even bringing us a new toaster when the old one broke. A wonderful experience and we hope to come back again.

Good Stay

Everything was fantastic at this property, Bert was very helpful and responsive. The only issue I had was the water, we were 15 people in the house and only 3 people could have a shower at a time, we’d have to wait for 30 minutes after. Other than the water problem we had a fun time and this is a beautiful property. Thank you for hosting us. Sneha

Exceptional Residence!!

Exceeded my expectations!! The owner had greeted us on the day of arrival, gave a house tour & provided instructions on how to use certain amenities. Very clean property, provided every necessity that you may need & the ambience was just the best feeling ever- definitely recommend & probably will book again!

Excellent Sister’s Trip

My 5 sisters and I as well as 2 adult nieces enjoyed our stay very much. There are large areas indoors and out to enjoy gathering together. It was great for playing games outdoors, sitting around the fire, or eating outside as there were no close neighbours.

Tranquility and lots of room to spare

The house is big, very big... and it sits on 2 acres of green grass and trees. Very nice to sit in the outdoor jacuzzi and enjoy the scenery. CN tower takes about 1 hour with morning traffic ~ last year we stayed in Vaughan and it took at least 30 minutes longer ~ so being physically closer does not necessarily mean shorter commutes. The zoo is about 25 mins and wonderland about 45 mins. Basically you are in the tranquil countryside yet all of Toronto is easily had. If you have a large group you will need some strategy when it comes to showers ~ the house gets its water from a well. We had a group of 11 and learned to give the pump 10 mins between showers to fill the reservoir... The pool table was well used and the movie room stocked with about 100 movies. Zehrs, Wallmart etc in the town of uxbridge is about 10~15 mins from the house. A rabbit, chipmunk, and frog were frequent visitors - countryside estate living with Toronto nearby. I would definitely stay again.

First online booking

My family and I came from three different continents and had a get together at this lovely house. Bert and Jim prepared the house really well with all the amenities we could possibly need from basics like beddings and kitchenware to a constant supply of firewood for the gorgeous fire place. We'd planned to make trips to Toronto downtown but ended up staying indoors because the kids were really enjoying time together and were especially loving the game room and media rooms downstairs. Even our two teenagers smiled for more than just the obligatory family photos :). The hot tub was a huge hit with all ages and a welcome reprieve from the chilly night. The hot tub radio was probably the coolest thing my kids had ever seen. The only downside was that the water ran out mid-shower but the tank would refill after around 15 minutes so we got on a shower schedule We'll definitely consider getting together again at this lovely house. AMAZING HOME AND SERVICE!

Hey All, This house is probably one of the nicest houses I've rented for a weekend! The amenities available as well as the neighbourhood really makes it a better experience (Quiet and peaceful). Home owners were also great to deal with. Definitely would rent again!

Great place for reunions!

We stayed at this Goodwood mansion over the Family Day Long weekend. The owners were amazing and were so responsive whenever we needed something. The place was perfect for our family reunion of 10. The theatre room and games room were fantastic and the large family room with huge fireplace was just perfect for our weekend getaway. There is enough privacy with bedrooms for 5 couples and 3.5 washrooms. Loved out stay and wouldn't hesitate coming back! Thanks for everything Jim and Bert!
