Backyard Beach! 50 Steps to the Sand with Bay Views and Ocean Blues
Light and bright, fully furnished 1br/1.5ba upstairs unit in small building on the peninsula! It is the only upstairs unit so there are no shared walls! It is situated one house from the sand so you can walk to the beach in less than 50 steps! Walk to the ocean, bay, restaurants, markets, and bus. Less than a mile to Newport Pier and half an hour to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm. About an hour to downtown Los Angeles and an hour-and-a-half to San Diego. Lots of amenities and free WiFi! ONE PARKING SPACE IN THE PRIVATE SHARED GARAGE WILL BE PROVIDED TO GUESTS!
This is a remodeled upstairs unit that features a large private deck with bay views - the perfect place to relax and read a book or grill up something delicious (or watch the famous Newport Beach Boat Parade at Christmas OR a panoramic view of fireworks from Disneyland to the Dunes at 4th of July)! It also has newer carpet throughout with tile floors in bathrooms and kitchen. It boasts granite counters in kitchen, stainless steel appliances (range, built-in oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker and water dispenser), and a washer and dryer on the premises. Property features updated windows as well!
Linens and bathroom towels are included. Weekly and nightly all-inclusive rate with no extra taxes or fees beyond what is listed! Great value in a great location!
Unit sleeps a maximum of 5. There is a king size bed in the bedroom and two fold out sofa beds in the living room: one queen size and one twin size. Kitchen includes basic cooking utensils, pots and pans, silverware, cups, plates, coffee maker, blender, and a toaster. Huge dining room with table and chairs. There is a BBQ, table, and chairs on the deck. Cable TV and WiFi are included. Street parking is also available. Beach equipment (chairs, surfboards, bikes, etc.) rentals are available at 15th Street Surf Shop less than a block away.

Fantastic location, literally 30 second walk to the beach. Property was clean & exactly as advertised. Communication was great from Matt, including solving an issue accessing the property immediately which was much appreciated. Would recommend & hope to return again!

As a first time renter on VRBO, I was not sure what to expect. Matt exceeded my expectations 100%. His communication was outstanding; friendly, informative and provided me with everything I needed to make it a pleasant stay. He was always available when needed and was present without hovering in any way. Perfect. Such a nice guy too!The bungalow itself is perfectly situated for plenty of Newport Beach/Laguna Beach escapades. Walking distance to nice restaurants and fun bars! His neighbors were chill and the place felt very safe! Nice bonus of having the parking spot in the garage!So bottom line...would I go back? Yes! Would I recommend it to you? Yes! Just don't try to take my time slot! (Kidding!)

You are right about the property being a great "home base" to all kinds of things Newport has to offer...and the parking spot is a plus. Do book early to make sure that no one takes your slot. Spring and summer months often book over a year in advance!

We love the location. Across from the lighthouse and marina. Steps to the beach. Able to walk everywhere! Comfortable bed, stocked kitchen, grill on the deck. Garage parking. We loved our stay, and are already booked for next year! Great walks, beautiful sunsets. Spent great happy hours all over the peninsula.

The place was just like the picture. Short walk to the beach and you could hear the ocean from the bedroom. Matt was great, first time the host actually checked up and made sure everything was okay. Definitely would recommend the stay.

You are correct that the deck is the best and the location is unbeatable! It sounds like you had a wonderful stay. The property is indeed old (build in 1959) but, since I acquired the property, I have done quite a bit to upgrade it for my guests. The apartment features remodeled bathroom and kitchen, new appliances, new windows, new paint both inside and out, a new deck, and lots of other upgrades. I look forward to having you back!

I stayed here with my adult children. It was steps to the beach. It was perfect for me and the family. The location was everything and the place was clean and the bed was comfy. We will definitely come back.

You absolutely cannot beat the location of Matt’s house. Super easy to walk to the beach or along the harbor. Plus the house is cozy and met all our needs. Wonderful stay!

This property has been my home-away-from-home for a long time. We still use the property when it is vacant since it is such a beautiful location with such great proximity to everything and provides all the amenities we could ask for.

The short walk to the beach has been wonderful as my family has created long-lasting memories of playing in the sand, surfing, and watching the sun set...only to return to a delicious bbq dinner on the patio.
