Get away from the city at this beautiful, clean-air, mountain-surrounded home. Perfect to work remotely or spend some stress-free days with your family. The perfect place to get away, 1.5 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Mt. Mitchell. Spectacular views of the mountains from large picture windows throughout the house. Hardwood floors. Fireplace, Cozy and spectacular.
You won`t want to leave!

The moment you walk in you`ll be amazed at the beauty throughout. Picture windows throughout the house. Two large balconies to sit and view the surrounding nature. Perfect space to recharge, rest or head out and explore the surrounding trails, or nearby waterfalls. You will immediately forget the craziness of the city. Our home is also a perfect place to work remotely if you want to get away from your office. Wi-fi, cable, smart TVs. You and your family will be able to work or relax in a beautiful environment. Riverrun is
gated with only 4 other houses in this 150 acre property.

Walk out the front door and you`ll have access to more than 150 acres on the River Run property.

You can contact me at any time. I have a property manager nearby if you were to need any assistance during your stay.

Riverrun is a gated community with only 4 other homes in the 150 acre property, therefore is is very private.
Once out of the gate, you have Mt Mitchell Golf Course, a beautiful golf course in the middle of the mountains. Play golf in the spring, summer and fall. Walk the course in the winter.

River Run is the perfect mountain getaway
This property is strictly no pets. No pets of any kind are not permitted on the premises at any time.

If evidence of a pet is found (including but not limited to pet hair, odor, stains, damage, or noise complaints), the guest will be charged a $500 violation fee, plus any additional cleaning, deodorization, or damage repair costs incurred

Was perfect for our family holiday

9 people was enough for this house! But it was just perfect for our Thanksgiving away from home. Golf course across the street was beautiful to walk since it was closed. Asheville is an easy drive for a day trip. Lovely home with lots of space for everyone.

Great, Clean, and amazing views

This cabin was beautiful. So many beds! All the sheets were clean. The only bummer is it was warm at night. We tried turning the air down but it wouldn’t cool the house below 78. Really though, amazing cabin. We would stay again.

Beautiful Area Nice House Close to Blue Ridge Parkway

The check in was VERY easy. Love a keyless entry. The view was spectacular! Large deck areas with seating for four only on the top deck. So if you have more than four people there isn't any place for them to sit. I suppose you could carry out dining chairs. There was a hammock on the lower deck. The beds were very comfortable. We lacked shampoo in each shower which would have been nice to have. FYI all the showers are rain showers. I personally don't care for them since I do not like to wash my hair daily or have to dry it. Speaking of drying, it would be nice to have a drying in each bathroom rather than needing to share. Listing showed chairs around the firepit but there weren't any so we didn't get to enjoy a fire on the cool evenings. Over all it is a roomy comfortable place with a fantastic view. And it is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Nancee, I’m glad you enjoyed our home, the views, and that you found the beds comfortable. Yours was a total of 4 guests, so we set four chairs for you to enjoy the view from the deck. More chairs would have been in the way. There were 3 hair dryers in the house, it seems like a guest took a fourth one we had just a few days prior. Thank you for letting us know in your review, we have since replaced the missing one. We encourage our guests to reach out to us if they need anything during their stay as we are just a few minutes away. A recent storm blew away the chairs we had by the fire pit, but there is natural sitting available, logs as well as rock chairs. We welcome you to visit again soon!

Great property

Overall the stay was good. Spent Christmas with friends. A few things were really disappointing though, vrbo had the house listed with king bed, it does not have a king, and the beds they do have are the nost awful uncomfortable hard beds ive ever slept in. I have back problems and thanks to the beds, spent most of the time in pain. They are also more like double size, not queen. The water pressure and hot water heater were a problem as well. We had no water pressure to do dishes and couldnt get hot water in the kitchen and sinks most of the time. We were very disappointed that the beds were not made when we arrived and sheets did not smell clean at all. We had to search a long time for twin sheets for bunk beds, and after a long ride with kids it was not fun. There lack of proper ironing board was frustrating as well. Over all the house is beautiful and large and cozy, and the kids loved the large den to play in.

Heather, I'm glad that overall you and your kids enjoyed our home. I'm sorry you got confused with a different property that advertised a king size bed. However, since your stay, we now have a very comfortable King size bed in the master bedroom and added the picture on the VRBO site. We have also added foam mattress toppers to almost all the other beds, and upgraded the sheets. We have also added outdoor furniture and hammocks to better enjoy the view. We added an Alexa for your enjoyment. Each year we strive to make the house cozier and more enjoyable. We hope you come back.

Beautiful home next to Mount Mitchell

We stayed two days here and hiked the Mount Mitchell. House is extremely close to Mount Mitchell. Host of the house were extremely helpful and replied to our question immediately. House was beautiful, very well decorated. All beds were super comfortable. All appliances in the kitchen were perfect. Views in the back of the house was gorgeous. The house is situated in private gated community. Will come back to this house again in the future. Thank you.

Comfortable and beautiful house

Fantastic home

We had a great weekend getaway. The home was very clean and had everything we needed down to a well supplied kitchen. The owners were wonderful to work with a very responsive to questions. The hiking in the area was wonderful. We highly recommend this home!

Mountain Retreat

A great place to get away, and not your typical cabin in the woods. A great property in a gated subdivision on a hillside with all modern amenities and awesome views from the back decks. Our family of 10 was very comfortable there.

Great place to stay in the mountains.

This was the perfect place to spend Christmas! Our family enjoyed waking up to the beautiful Mountain View’s and hiking on the nearby trails. Asheville was a short drive away with great shopping! We would highly recommend this mountain escape. Can’t wait to return.
