Welcome to your cottage by the gulf of Mexico! Blue Haven is a comfortable 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage located one mile from Crescent Beach (my favorite Siesta Key beach), with a gorgeous, heated, salt water pool (with baby gate, if needed) in a completely fenced-in, private backyard where you can enjoy your meals grilled on your weber grill, sitting by the pool or in the screened-in lanai. If you bring your four-legged babies, they will love exploring the large backyard! You are minutes walking distance to a fabulous Thai restaurant, a wonderful bakery, an awesome breakfast/lunch deli/restaurant, and a barbecue joint! You have everything you need within a mile-radius of your home base, yet the street is so quiet and private, you would never know you are in such a vibrant area!

This cook's kitchen has beautiful granite countertops, and is fully stocked with all of the utensils, kitchen equipment, and pots and pans you will need if you want to cook in or grill out by the pool. The washer and dryer are located in the kitchen for easy access.

The living room and dining room are comfortable and "beachy" - just like you want for your beach get-away! The island colors and light, airy feel of this comfortable living space will lighten your spirit and entice you to lay back and let the tropics invade your senses.

The spacious master bedroom features a comfortable king bed, a dresser, a desk, and an attached master bath. The master bathroom features a large walk-in shower with two shower heads for a luxurious shower after the beach, the pool, or a day of exploring all that Siesta Key, Sarasota and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Two bedrooms are on the other side of the living area. The one bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, a desk and a dresser. The other bedroom has two comfy XL twin beds and a dresser. These bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower/tub combination.

The screened-in lanai has a very comfortable sectional, as well as a table where you can play cards, games or have a meal. The freeform salt water pool is heated and oh-so-wonderful for a morning dip, an after-the-beach dip, or for an evening swim with the gorgeous blue light illuminating the water.

We loved our 8 nights at the Blue Haven. The pool was a marvelous, private retreat and heated nicely for the cooler weather. The backyard is spacious and framed by beautiful trees. The house has an ideal layout to give everyone privacy. Also has a modern kitchen with everything you will need. (I loved the espresso maker!) Large screened in porch with comfy furniture was yet another place to hang out. From the front door it is a 15 minute walk to the Siesta Key bridge. 10 minutes beyond that are the sands of Crescent Beach. Gorgeous sand and beach.The neighborhood is very safe and quiet, great for dog walking! Thanks for providing a relaxing home away from home!

Great spot!

Host was fantastic. Offered her cell phone for direct communication. Nice house layout. Renovated kitchen with all gadgets to cook meals. Also well stocked with everyday essentials.Tile floors for easy cleanup. I liked the large walkin shower in owner suite. Minutes to Siesta beach. Great proximity to grocery stores asnd EOS gym. I would recent again.

Lovely stay

We had a wonderful time! Location was close enough to the beach to walk and everything else was a short drive. The Botanical Garden is so beautiful worth checking out! The pool was a hit with all of us!

Fabulous

Owner communication was unbelievably great. She told us when cleaning service was finished so we could get into the house and allowed us to stay later until after the Easter bunny festivities were over. House was well equipped! Pool was wonderful. Beds comfortable. Everything clean. One minor suggestion would be to put a tv in the other 2 bedrooms as we would like to have watched the NCAA late games as we were going to bed.

Wonderful Stay!

My family had a wonderful stay at the Amelia House! Nancy was a very accommodating host. She went above and beyond for us when the power went off upon our arrival. Dropping us off flashlights and batteries and chocolate. This property was so comfortable and my kids loved the pool. It was only a mile from the beach. And the kitchen was stocked. We loved it here! Highly recommend!

Girls Getaway

This property was perfect for our weekend! Located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to anything you may need. A quick/safe one mile walk gets you to the beach or you can rent bikes. We didn’t have a car and we never felt impeded by this. The house is a cute cottage with all kinds of updates. The host was responsive and incredibly helpful with lots of local recommendations. The owner even took care of keeping the pool heated as it was chilly at night. We will definitely be back!

Great Location and Lots of Amenities

The Amelia House was located just a few hundred yards off a busy road but still in a quiet neighborhood. Within 5 mins, there were restaurants, drug/grocery stores and easy access to any of downtown Sarasota, Siesta Key or other beaches. The house itself was clean, spacious, had lots of new appliances, but the pool with large backyard really made my staycation worth the 90 minute drive to this cottage getaway! Nancy, the owner, also checked in to make sure everything was as expected. It was.. and better.

Peacefully perfect place!!!!!

This house + Nancy = a perfect vacation experience. Let’s summarize the fundamentals first: the house is spotless, the beds super comfortable, the pool is crystal clear. The kitchen is equipped with every pan, plate, utensils you could need. The neighborhood is quiet. The house has a beachy, zen, relaxing vibe. The drive to the beach is 5 min. We went to all the beaches on the island and I was so happy to return back to this house to relax and jump in the pool. There’s cable, books, and games if you want to relax at the house and enjoy some downtime. The best thing about the house is Nancy! She is simply put an amazing host. She really cares and wants you to be comfortable and have a great time. She gives great recommendations for food and things to see, etc. There were a couple times I had a question or needed help—she answered me right away and went above and beyond with assistance. Even before I arrived she was prompt with all her responses and very kind!! I’d never been to Sarasota but suggestions I was able to get the inside scoop on so many things and it really made all the difference. My brother has special needs and when I asked her for places to take him she really thought about the answer and we had a great time. We all thought she was amazing. Vacations are meant to be spent out and about, but to me part of the experience is where you rest in between all the fun. I could not have asked for a better place. Thank you Nancy! Can’t wait to return!

Great family vacation house

This house was perfect for my family's FL beach vacation. We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenagers) and there was tons of space for everyone and their things. The home was exactly as shown in the photos. Everything you might need for the beach was in the shed out back, including a wagon, umbrellas, chairs, and bodyboards. Nancy, the owner, was fantastic. She was very communicative and so kind! The info she sent about the nearby area was really helpful. We visited several of her recommended restaurants and enjoyed them all. Highly recommend this property!

Little blue beach house

I just want to say wow- the property owner Nancy had everything at the house you need for a great beach getaway. Walking distance from a beautiful beach and all the beach accessories you can think of for the trip! Hands down will be booking again to stay here! The house itself was extremely clean and the backyard is top notch with the pool and bbq areas! You don’t want to miss out on this gem!

Perfect for Siesta Key family vacation!

We had an absolutely fantastic time! The property was amazing and exactly as shown in photos. Nancy provided many great suggestions on where to eat and was super helpful during the whole process and stay. So many thoughtful things throughout the house made our vacation relaxing and comfortable. Would highly recommend!

Golf Trip

This house is amazing. I went with 3 coworkers and it was perfect for our golf trip. Would even perfectly accommodate my family and kids, they would love it! The pool is amazing; perfect for getting that much needed vitamin D. The property was spotless and perfectly laid out. I would 100% recommend this house and hope to book with Nancy in the near future!

Paradise

We had the pleasure of staying at Nancy’s home for Easter weekend! The house is decorated absolutely beautifully. As soon as you walk in you feel immediately at home. You can tell the property is so well cared for and had such a peaceful energy. Just what you need if you’re looking to relax and unwind. The location is perfect, the pool and backyard are extremely private with no view of neighbors. The house and pool area had everything we needed. Nancy even texted to let us know not to rush to check out on Easter as the cleaners were not coming until Monday. She was super helpful and responsive the entire trip, although we didn’t need anything as all was provided. Thank you Nancy, we can’t wait to book Amelia house again in the future! :)

EVERYTHING about this house is wonderful!

First, Nancy, the owner could not have been more helpful and accommodating. She even answered her phone on Christmas morning when I couldn't figure out how something worked in the house. She went above & beyond to make sure our visit was perfect. The house is well-furnished and comfortable. We will stay there again when visiting family on Siesta Key.

Ladies trip
