We do not request anything beyond what is necessary to verify guests and ensure responsible use of the property. We understand that different travelers have different comfort levels with this, but nothing asked was personal beyond standard short-term rental requirements.

We appreciate that you found the home clean, comfortable, and well maintained, but several points require clarification. The property’s maximum occupancy does not mean additional or unregistered guests may be added without approval. Guest and visitor requirements are part of our standard property protection policies and are communicated to ensure the reservation remains compliant with the approved guest count. Regarding the television setup, the home provides the amenities advertised in the listing, and a TV in every bedroom is not represented as an included amenity. We understand that these policies may not suit every traveler, but enforcing disclosed occupancy and visitor requirements should not be confused with poor hospitality or an issue with the property itself.

We appreciate that you acknowledged the home itself was nice and clean, but several statements in your review require clarification. None of the concerns you later described—including the patio and pool-deck debris, leaking hose, slippery conditions, granular material, overgrown yard, pool vacuum, wall damage, or soap dispensers—were reported to us during your stay. Because these issues were never brought to our attention while the reservation was active, we had no opportunity to inspect, verify, or correct them in real time. We take cleanliness, maintenance, and safety concerns seriously, but hosts cannot address issues they are never told about. Raising an extensive list of concerns only after checkout creates the impression they were ignored, when in fact they were never communicated to us during the stay. We stand behind our property preparation standards and remain committed to addressing legitimate concerns promptly when guests report them.
