WELCOME TO LA VISTA

Enter through the gates onto the poolside patio and prepare to fall in love with panoramic, white water ocean views and complete privacy in a tropical setting. Enjoy your privacy in a home featuring three primary suites across three levels and three structures, and an additional ensuite bunk room. As of Fall 2024, the main house is completely and stunningly remodeled by an architect/designer.

La Vista boasts perhaps the best views in all of Nosara which can be admired from any number of outdoor living areas, and perfect for a morning wave check. Pour an evening cocktail and relax on our spacious wraparound patio and soak in sunset views across a 270 degree expanse of ocean, mountain and river valley. Perched 500 feet above Playa Guiones, La Vista is located in the desirable Las Huacas (E section, secured with 24/7 guard station) just minutes from town and Playa Guiones. Our guests enjoy year round cooling breezes off of the ocean, perfect for our sun-filled Nosara days. Be restful and relaxed on your vacation in complete privacy – located at the end of a cul-de-sac, enjoy the serenity of 2.75 acres of unobstructed sweeping views.

Given the state of infrastructure in Nosara, our property has a number of features to ensure your comfort: private well, paved main community road, water storage tank, Mistaway mosquito repellant sytem, back-up power supply.

Our exterior space was designed to allow guests to fully enjoy our ample outdoor spaces - beautiful pool area with all Coralina tile and lighting; a wading section in the pool; a front pergola near the pool and protected from the afternoon sun; outdoor patio furniture facing the panoramic ocean views with overhead powerful fan; pergola off of the kitchen to extend indoor/outdoor dining. And, for those sensitive to mosquitos, an automated, highly effective Mistaway system (all natural, organic) allows you to fully enjoy your time outdoors.

Property has a 30 tree orchard with mango, avocado, banana, orange, papaya, lime, cashew, starfruit and more. We also have a vegetable and herb garden.

This house is amazing and the views are spectacular! Although we experienced a few maintenance issues during our stay, they were handled very professionally and expediently. Claudia was always very responsive and helpful. The kitchen is well-equipped. The home is great place to relax, hang out by the pool, and watch the sunsets. Proximity to town is great! We look forward to staying here again!

This is probably the best location in the whole area! The owners are amazing and so accommodating. This place is on a short list of the best group state properties we’ve ever encountered. Bring your friends and family.

Perfect property

We had an amazing stay at this property! Everyone from the owner to the landscaper was wonderful! Well equipped home, the best sunset and beach views of any property, great indoor and outdoor spaces! We practically lived outside the entire time! Can’t wait to return!!

Scenic beauty on display in Nosara

The property, home, and experience was every bit as advertised, and an excellent overall experience. The owner and property manager were both engaged and responsive before and during our stay, answering questions, making suggestions, and doing everything they could to make our stay wonderful. No complaints, would definitely stay at this incredible home again.

House Gem in Nosara, Costa Rica

Our family - 10 of us stayed in this amazing house over the Christmas holiday. Absolutely wonderful house. The view is exactly as described- breathtaking. Sunsets are incredible. This is the most equipped house we have stayed in. The owner is extremely personable, helpful, and honest. We will definitely try to stay here again

Amazing time spent living in the jungle canopy for two weeks

This is probably the best house I've stayed at in my lifetime. The views are almost 360deg and cover all of the bays around Nosara plus the jungle and mountains behind. The rooms all have comfy beds and cold AC for the nights, everyone slept like a baby. Close to town but feels like your living in the jungle and the kids loved the large pool. Owner and manager were both quick to respond via whatsapp. Highly recommended 👌 and we can't wait to stay again.

Vacation in paradise!

Our family had such a wonderful stay at La Vista. This property was perfect for my husband, 3 daughters, and my father. The home, cottage, and apartment accommodated us all! The property is even more beautiful than pictured, and the home was stocked with everything you could ever need. The expansive view was unbeatable, and we even saw a family of monkeys one afternoon! The outdoor shower was so relaxing, especially at night, with a view of the stars. And my youngest was in the pool multiple times a day! With all that Nosara has to offer, we sometimes found it hard to leave the property because we were enjoying it so much. Also, the property manager, Claudia, was quick to respond and very helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. Pura Vida!

Great location up the hill from Nosara and Guiones beach. Spectacular views and a very helpful host and property management company. The pool was perfect for hot afternoons after mornings at the beach.

Perfect week in Nosara

It's hard to describe how perfect our stay was in Nosara at Dani and Noam's beautiful house. From start to finish it was a magical week...the check-in process was seamless and very clear. Not only that, they went above and beyond to help organize a variety of things to set us up for our stay. The house was perfect, well-equipped with anything we needed, and views incredible...the pictures don't do it justice. It was plenty of room for my husband, I, and our 6 friends - we spent more time than we expected at the house given how great it was. We will absolutely be back -- thank you Dani and Noam!

Incredible view!

Having the privacy of three separate spaces was perfect for our family. (We didn’t have to hear the grandchildren get up at 6:00 am.). The place is much nicer than the pictures because modern upgrades have been done. It was so nice to watch the sunsets from the big deck. We have no complaints… the only small disappointment was the traffic noise, especially the trucks with air brakes. Overall, totally worth it!!

Best Holiday Getaway Ever

Everything about this trip was fabulous. Our group ranged from ages 7 to 70+. This property has a great mix of space to allow for time together and apart - it's perfect for a diverse family group. We spent most of our time hanging out on the recently renovated patio/pool/deck areas which is perfect for lounging, playing games, eating at the big new farm table, and viewing birds and animals in the jungle below. I would highly recommend this property to anyone considering it. The location is great, you can get to the beach/restaurants and activities in a few minutes, but also have space and tranquility that are afforded by the phenomenal property that surrounds the home. Danielle went above and beyond to make sure that every question was answered and that we were set up for a great experience in Nosara. Once on-site we didn't want for anything and the few times we needed a question answered we had a response within a half hour often with an offer of additional help.

Excellent stay in Nosara!!!

This place was perfect! The location up the hill from the actual town of Nosara was something I was wondering about. Well it was perfect. It was a few minute (maybe 5) drive to the town and the beach. It was very nice to be up on the hill with an incredible overlook and outstanding sunsets over the ocean from the wraparound deck. There were howler moneys right on the property as well as coatis that we saw. The house has everything you need to be comfortable. The pool was a nice amenity. The ownership group was excellent to interact with and super responsive. Don't hesitate to stay here!

Christmas in Costa Rica

Loved the house, location, and view. Great alternative to a hotel particularly for a large family. Very close to town and beach but remote enough to be private and without the dust that permeates town and the roads. Kitchen is well equipped and we had a great meal on the terrace.

Casa Maravillosa was incredible. The ocean and jungle views are phenomenal.

This home is comfortable, well-appointed with the most beautiful sunset views. My husband could check the waves every morning and the soft breeze kept it fresh and cool. Our kids were delighted with the pool, the howler monkeys and so many shooting stars. We will be back.

A Marvelous Experience

Casa Maravillosa was just that, marvelous! You cannot describe the views from this home. In the dry season you enjoy amazing sunsets over the beautiful blue pacific ocean and in the rainy seasonal it is like living in a cloud forest. It is truly spectacular. The home was well designed with wrap around balconies on the first floor and a large beautiful balcony outside of the master bedroom. This allowed us to take advantage of the views from just about anywhere. Inside the home was also extremely cozy with white washed furniture and Terracota floors. If you prefer to cook dinner at home to enjoy the sunsets, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The owners and management were extremely accommodating and always attentive to our needs. We highly recommend this house to anyone looking to enjoy beautiful Nosara!!

The only regret I have after visiting this paradise is that I didn’t bring more friends! This property has lots of space to find quiet time alone to read, as well as an ample dining room to gather, but who would sit inside in a place like this? Words cannot describe the vistas, security, and the peace of this tucked away gem. Cut out from a high perch offering the best view in Nosara, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. Watching the tide roll in and out from bed or watching the breathtaking sunsets while eating dinner on the balcony is not a luxury but a way of life that differs from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There were no amenities lacking in comfort: a full kitchen, brand-new beds, and warm décor make forgetting life for a little while not only easy in this tropical paradise, but happens without thought. That’s the power this casita offers. This quaint and sleepy little surfing town along with its beaches is only a five minute drive and has many activities and shopping to keep you entertained while visiting. If you want to swim without going to the beach, no worries, a beautiful lap pool is available to cool off during the hot days, or a fun night swim with a cocktail. No matter how long you plan to stay, you’ll wish there was more time, so take my advice and book an extra day or two. No car, no problem, rent an ATV. The roads are not made for speed, they are there to cruise, smile and wave at others and maybe make some friends. If there is one activity that is a must, would have to be zip lining! Completely safe and exhilarating, long runs over the jungle canopy is too much fun for the entire family to ignore. The guides were fun, accommodating and a joy to hang out with. Unplug, breathe in the fresh sea air, listen to the howler monkeys and enjoy a simple retreat without the fear of missing out. Don’t over schedule yourself or you might miss the private yoga session meant to bring you back to center. 5 stars without thinking about it. When I come back to Costa Rica you will find me here.

Paradise Found

Our family has been coming to Nosara / Guiones for several years and as such we have rented many properties in the area. Casa Maravillosa is without a doubt the most beautiful property in Guiones at this time. The property sits on the crown jewel piece of land on the ridge above Guiones Beach. Views are 270 degrees of the entire beach and surrounding valleys to the east. Its not really possible to find these kind of views anywhere else close to Guiones The house itself is a very charming, accessible beach house. Beautiful sweeping verandas and terraces make the most of the properties views. The light, airy, clean interior provides a sense of serenity without being too precious. It is totally suitable and comfortable for families with children (such as ours) The great debate is often whether to stay walking distance to the beach or to enjoy the breezes, views and quiet of a property 3-5min drive from the beach. We have done both and would now not even consider giving up the breathtaking beauty of the ridge. Guarantee yourself a true escape with a stay at Casa Maravillosa, you will not want to leave

WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE!

It’s hard to believe, but pictures don’t even do this property justice. This house is absolutely AMAZING! And the views are even more breathtaking. I was in Nosrara for just over a week with my boyfriend and we never did find a better view than that at Casa Maravillosa. Some specific highlights of our stay were the morning sights (and sounds) of monkeys going from tree to tree directly in front of the house, the constant daytime breeze and, of course, the evening sunsets. My favorite part of each day was prepping a nice dinner just in time to pour a glass of wine, stop everything, go outside to the balcony and watch the most perfect sunset with my man. Once then sun went down, we’d finish preparing dinner together (a very spacious kitchen allows for a great cooking experience for couples, friends and families alike), and spend our evenings appreciating the great local seafood, vegetables and fresh fruit while enjoying peace and quiet along with the sounds of nature. I also loved my daily laps in the pool, which was always impeccably clean, and then rinsing off at the outdoor shower! We’d often also swim at night, which was so fun with all the outdoor lights surrounding the pool. This place (I can only imagine) is great for large groups as there’s a main house AND two separate casitas with kitchens + bathrooms in each. But it also proved to be the perfect fit for just one couple or a small family, as the main house is so cozy and comfortable. It was our first trip to Nosara and we absolutely loved the small town and the quiet beaches. There’s so many outdoor activities (surfing, zip lining, hiking and swimming to name a few) as well as great restaurants and bars (La Luna was a particular favorite) all within a few minute drive from the house. I’d recommend this casa to anyone interested in visiting Nosara. It’s hands-down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at and can’t wait to go back!

Danielle and Noam Bauman are happily married and live in Nosara. We met 19 years ago just after celebrating our 25th birthdays. Danielle grew up outside of Portland, Oregon and Noam in Connecticut. We love travel, exercise, yoga, food/cooking, farmers markets, the outdoors, and adventure. We moved to Nosara 5 years ago after spending nearly 20 years in San Francisco.

As we rounded the corner of the private road and the panoramic views extended in front of us, we knew we had found our future home. Not impulsive by nature, Casa Maravillosa spoke to us instantly, and at that point our minds were made up – we were buying the house and some day moving to Nosara. Beyond the views, you will love the privacy of the property and the flexibility of the set-up, with a main house, guest cottage, and studio apartment, all with amazing views. In addition to views, the elevation also affords cooling breezes which allows you to enjoy the ample outdoor space. We love the privacy of the house - as opposed to properties closer to the beach, we have a big piece of land and lot of space from our (wonderful) neighbors. Finally, we appreciate the security - Las Huacas has a 24/7 guard service, and the house itself is at the end of a cul de sac.
