Welcome to your perfect coastal getaway in beautiful Balboa! Our newly renovated 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit offers modern comfort and stylish amenities just steps from the harbor. Whether you're here to relax or explore, this is the ideal home base for your Southern California adventure.

NOTE - our separate upstairs studio is currently occupied by a couple studying in graduate school; aside from the shared walkway leading to the staircase, guests will have exclusive access to the front and back patios as well as the garage!

Wonderful host and great property! Super clean -- I have dust allergies so thats important to me. Wonderful location, multi-gen family of 5 and it was very comfortable. Parking was a breeze and easy walk to shops and activities. Definitely will go back.

Our family celebrated Christmas at this very lovely home. Everything throughout the home is thoughtfully curated. The comfortable & meticulously clean place made our stay wonderful. Also, we really liked the close walk to the ferry.

We appreciated the easy check-in, location, and cleanliness of the house. There are plenty of sleeping spaces (all comfortable), and the house has a great layout.In addition to being close to the ferry, the location is quiet. Checkout was also a breeze. Thank you for a great stay.

Very responsive host, great property! I was not sure about staying on the island but it was great, no issues with traffic or anything like that. The neighborhood is really quiet and the people are very nice. Would stay again.

Great communication from Mitch! Location was awesome, short walk to ferry with access to the Fun Zone and Peninsula. Loved using the bikes to head to town for a Balboa Bar! Would absolutely stay again.

We had the best time. This house was the perfect location and size for my family. We loved having the bikes included and all the amenities the house offered. From the shampoo/conditioner to the special coffee and snacks. We felt like we were staying at a friends house. We will be back

We had a wonderful time. The place is beautiful, quaint and homie. Perfect location. Took bikes to the ferry across the water to the beach. Mitch the house manager was ever attentive and messaged me back right away when I had questions about the AC. We would book again in a heartbeat. Next time looking to bring the kids. Highly recommend!!!!!

The place was even better than the pictures! We absolutely loved the location and island setting — the walking path along the coast was beautiful, and we enjoyed exploring the Main Street with its cafés and little shops. Taking the bikes on the ferry to the beach was such a fun and unique experience. The house had everything we needed for a perfect beach day. Everything about our stay was beyond our expectations, and we look forward to come back!

What a beautiful house! My daughter and I stayed here for a couple of nights. We rode bikes, walked to get meals and shop, and walked on the boardwalk. We didn’t take the ferry, but it was close, had we wanted to. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again. Perfect for families, friends or a girls trip.

We had the best time on Balboa Island! We can’t say enough about the location, comfort and details this cottage offered! We will be coming back again and again! Our 8 year old loved taking the ferry to fun zone arcade, swimming to the dock at the nearby beach and gelato/waffle stix in town! Everything is walkable and easy to instantly feel on vacation. The patio out front was my personal favorite! The property owners thought of everything…beach chairs and toys, kitchen needs, and all the comforts of home. Bravo!

from the minute we pulled up to the quaint neighborhood everything was so inviting, fresh and modern Walking distance to the boat docks, and shopping/restaurant district. We hope we can visit again soon!!!!

Cozy Island Cottage

Beautiful, charming cottage. We love Balboa, and come to this island often to stay. We love trying out different areas of the island. We loved this location! Close to the ferry! Close to Ruby Beach! 1 block away from Santos Restaurant. We enjoyed our time in this comfortable stylish home. Comfortable living areas indoor and out. We enjoyed the courtyard firepit with clean comfortable couches and chairs. The beds are all super comfy as well with soft linens. Well stocked kitchen to cook, if you desire from pots and pans, dishes, spices and coffee bar. We will stay again in the future!

I'm moving to the Island!

The Pristine Harborside Balboa Retreat made me want to move to the island, but after looking at the prices, VRBO is better. Lots and lots of space at this house. We had grandkids (4, 2, and 1 month) plus their parents and a 26-year old son and wife and me and had plenty of room. Great location. Ferry is just down the road. Main St is less than a half mile. Great Mexican place on the corner. Canal just three doors down. Front patio gets lots of sun...enjoy. We will be back...since we aren't buying :)_

Perfect Family Reunion

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this amazing Balboa retreat which is primely located at the quiet side of the Island. The floor plan was extremely bright and open. Multiple sitting areas as well as a large dining table provided the space we needed to catch up with each other. We were a mix of three adult couples with our elderly mother. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom worked out very well for her needs. The kitchen is great; well organized and serviced our needs beautifully! We certainly appreciated the cleanliness and freshly remodeled interior. Our only suggestions for the hosts would be to provide step stools for a couple of the higher beds, more wall hooks for purses and jackets.and perhaps luggage racks.Thank you to our spectacular host! We can’t wait to come back!
