The owner spent most of her life working in the entertainment industry, but has her MFA from Berkley and now spends her time building ceramics in her studio in Los Angeles.
She has a strong affinity for the California Desert and wanted to create a space where she and her family or guests could come and unplug and be inspired to create in any all media, or to simply relax and reset.
She wanted the space itself to be richly endowed with it’s own unique aesthetic which would help to create the most memorable experience.
Upon creating another successful short-term rental home called Mulberry & Pine in Pioneertown, she embarked on the journey to create a sequel. Both properties working in harmony to continue being a retreat for creatives and vacationers alike. We hope you enjoy!
◦ THINGS TO NOTE:
Paved Roads/Dirt Roads: dirt roads but capable of low riding cars.
Fenced yard: Not fully fenced
Outdoor Surveillance: We have an exterior camera facing the driveway for the guest's safety.
Cell phone coverage: NO cellphone coverage
◦ Wildlife: this is the rural desert and we share the space with the wildlife. You may encounter desert ants, mice, coyotes, or if you’re lucky a bobcat.
◦ RULES:
Noise ordinance:
Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. No external speakers allowed. Any noise related discrepancies will result in at least a $1000 fine.
◦ SMOKING POLICY
No smoking inside the house or within 10ft. Smoke residue will result in excessive cleaning fees
◦ Restricted Areas:
Any locked closet or room is restricted. If forcibly entered you could be held liable for any unaccounted for item.
◦ Hot Tub/Pool:
Hot Tub Use: Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it’s been serviced, as chemical levels are temporarily elevated. We have weekly pool cleanings, this day may fall on your stay and your cooperation will keep the hot tub clean and balanced at all times.
Please rinse off any oils, lotions, or substances before entering the spa, as these can affect water quality and cause discoloration.
No drinking in the hot tub, please.
Be sure to keep the cover on when not in use, especially since we're in the desert and debris can easily get into the water.
Any misuse of the hot tub may result in an additional charge for extra maintenance.
-Cowboy Tub Availability-
The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during winter months (November - March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.
◦ Photoshoots & Video:
No un permitted photoshoots or videoing at the home. If you would like to use our home for those purposes please send us a message. Any unauthorized filming will result in a $5000 violation and production fee.
