Beautiful Sand Hill Cove Home on the Hill

This beautiful beach home has a lush yard and two decks for plenty of fresh air. Also plenty to do inside after a day in the sun... Read, play board games or air hockey, foosball watch TV, or just relax.

Within walking distance are Roger Wheeler beach - 4 minute walk (Sand Hill Cove to the natives) a family beach and an assortment of restaurants and nightlife withing a mile. A 5 minute ride will bring you to S. Scarborough Beach while a 10 minute ride will take you to the beaches and restaurants of historic Narragansett pier. The fishing port of Galilee is in walking/riding distance. Pick up some lobsters or Quahogs (giant clams) and cook them up at the beach house or catch the ferry to Block Island for a day long excursion.

Bring your swimsuit, fishing pole, and other summer fun things.

Perfect location and wonderful week!

Absolutely loved this property and our week in Port Judith. The house was very spacious and comfortable. All the comforts of home plus just minutes from the beach. Beds were super comfy and outside decks are so beautiful for lazy mornings and late day cocktails. Our little grandson enjoyed the air hockey table and foosball game.thank you Michele for a great stay - we would love to come back another year and stay.

Short walk to the beach

Location, location, location! Short walk to the beach, optimally situated near the Block Island Ferry for the perfect day trip, as well as a short drive to the towns of Kingston/Wickford. The house was stacked full of beach amenities (chairs, wagon, etc.), grill, and ample bedding and towels. We (3 adults and 2 small kids) had a fantastic time.

Perfect beach getaway

Itā€™s been a few days and we are still talking about how great this place was. Location is perfect- 10 min walk to the beach, nice spots within a 10 min drive to eat, house had all the things you could want (including beach accessories in the shed), and if you are into stargazing like we are- really great spot to check out planets (top deck was perfect as was the street). We both cooked and grilled at the house. One AC unit on each floor kept things cool enough during the day too. Street is on a dead end so it was quiet. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others, communicating with the owner was easy too.

Great spot for some family fun

Perfect home for our Narragansett getaway. Location was ideal on a nice, quiet street and the 2 decks were wonderful for dinners after a day at the beach and just hanging out and taking in the view. Canā€™t beat the short walk to the beach. The home was very clean and comfortable for 4 adults and 4 kids. Had everything we needed for our stay and then some. Thank you very much for letting us use your home!

Spectacular

The stay at this property was more than I ever expected. The house was outstanding and offered everything you would need for a week at the beach. With just a short walk to Roger Wheeler or a bike ride away from Salty Brine or Scarborough there was plenty of available options. We look forward to staying in this house again in the future!

Beach Getaway

We had an incredible stay at this property. The short walk to the beach was perfect especially with toting a wagon and 4 month old. The house was clean, spacious and well stocked. Loved the sunsets from the balcony. Thank you!

Perfect for our family of 5 plus 2 dogs. Plenty of room for everyone with bedrooms on 3 levels, we had plenty of room to spread out and room to be together too. Beautiful yard on corner lot and a 1/4 mile walk to Wheeler Beach. 2 decks, lower deck has grill and picnic table, upper deck is perfect for watching the sunset. Decks have gates to keep dogs safe.

This house was home base for our family as we spent a week together celebrating the life of our father who recently passed away. The home was clean, comfortable, and truly had a coastal feel. Michele was a pleasure to work with and she provided everything a family could need. The house has two large gathering spaces, yet the bedrooms were spaced out perfectly to ensure a good nightā€™s sleep for all. We plan on returning!

Great trip!

We had a blast staying here! There was plenty of room for our group to spread out, enjoy meals together, and have lots of fun. The kids loved the fully stocked shed which had lots of beach toys and a wagon so they could ride back and forth to the beach. Roger wheeler beach was great for families.

Great family value

The house was great for a family getaway. Clean, close to the beach, and very responsive management - a great value for a family week in RI. We especially appreciated the shed stocked with beach toys, bikes, a wagon, and beach chairs/carts. There were plenty of towels for a large group and the house was big enough for our family to spread out comfortably. The large deck was a great place to eat and generally enjoy the ocean breeze. Outfitted with many of the "little things" that help with kids (crib, booster with tray for eating, stools in the bathrooms just to name a few), I highly recommend this home.

Perfect beach location

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay. The location was a short walk to the Roger Wheeler beach which made accessing the beach on the weekends and for morning or night walks on the beach easy. And a 5 minute drive to the Scarborough state beach. The house was clean and well maintained and the owners are very responsive to questions. The neighborhood was also quiet with a very private back yard and deck. Plenty of space for our family of 5.

Perfect stay!

The house was impeccably clean and exceeded our expectations in every way. There were lots of fun games for the kids inside and outside (air hockey, bandminton and more) and there were bikes available for the very bike friendly neighborhood. Easy walk to the beach! The two decks are also wonderful. Perfect place for a family. The house was well-stocked with everything we could possibly need.

Great family beach house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 36 Willow with our three sons and their families. We arrived to a clean well-stocked house that was comfortable to live in. Air hockey and other games and beach toys for the kids. Owner does a great job of anticipating and providing for the needs of a beach-going family on vacation.

Perfect for family stay at the beach

Super clean. Owners are very attentive to their property. Well stocked. Modern kitchen. Comfy beds. Not all rooms have AC but we found those that didnā€™t were fine using the ceiling fan. We were able to have our dog here so that was a plus. The yard is not fenced but the deck was fully gated. We supplied our own pen to contain the dog on the lawn. Lots of stuff to use in the shed including bikes and boogie boards. The walk to Sand Hill Cove Beach is an easy 5 to 10 minutes. Itā€™s a big house with plenty of room but we found ourselves out on the deck most of the time. Plenty of shade and a wonderful breeze. The tall hedges surrounding the property in the back make it private. We would rent again for sure.

great vacation for 3 family generations

Great vacation with my children and their families. Everything was just as described and the owners were helpful and friendly. The 4 grandchildren (ages 2 to 8 years old) found safe places to explore and play indoors and outdoors. Everyone enjoyed the bikes and toys left in the shed--especially the wagon. The little ones rode in the wagon for the short walk to and from the beach. We plan to stay here again!

Beautiful home with a constant breeze!

My family and I rented this home (8 adults, 5 kids under age 5) and we had an amazing vacation. This house was spotless upon arrival and had everything we needed. We were worried about not having central air throughout the house, but we didn't need it because of the breeze that you get being on top of a hill. You are about a 1/4 of a mile from Roger Wheeler Beach (excellent family beach and the same is super soft). You have restaurants and ice-cream less than a mile away, with tons of side streets to go for a walk. Excellent customer service by the owners! My family and I are hoping to rent next year :)

Delighted stay

This is a beautiful and spacious cottage. It is a very short walk to the beach. We have three boys (2 1/2 yr old twins and a 5 yr old) All three were able to make the walk.(Twins at least half way on their own.) There are 5 very nice bedrooms that accommodated very well four adults, a 10 wk old, 2-2 1/2 yr olds and a 5 yr old. Great open dining room and living room area made it nice to all be in the same place at once. Nice little yard for the kids to play in and two nice decks. The lower deck is perfect for hanging out or having dinner outside.

Sand Hill Cove (or Roger Wheeler Beach) is a great beach vacation area. The beach, located just 4-5 minute walk (no crossing any major streets) is geared for families with little ones. This beach has calm waters and many amenities such as a play ground, showers, bathrooms, and concession stands. We are also located within a very short walking distance of several restaurants. A slightly longer walk or very short drive takes you into the fishing village of Galilee. There you will find shops, restaurants, some nightlife, and the fishing boats of Rhode Island... a great place to pick up fresh seafood to bring back to the house. The Point Judith Lighthouse is a very short drive or bike ride from the house as well.

We love the sound of the fog horns and the sound of the ocean at night. The horn from the Block Island ferry during the day. We love the glimpses of the water we get from the upstairs windows and deck. The neighborhood is a quiet dead-end street with very little traffic.
