Relaxing by the sea

Wonderful- pool was sparkling when we arrived but not by midweek. The rest was perfect!

The unit just underwent a major renovation with a new deck/stairs and loads of new furniture on the decks to relax in including a hammock! Between the pool, oceanfront views, and cozy interiors it is no wonder you had a wonderful time. Your family is always welcome, be sure to give us a ring next time you visit the area!

Views all around!

Eastern views of the ocean and sunrises AND western views of the sound and sunsets -beautiful! House is lovely and equipped with everything you need. We had a wonderful weekend celebrating my daughter’s upcoming wedding. Thank you!

The house is great. The view is breathtaking. The ants are awful. The kitchen was full of them. We couldn't even use the grill because it was full of ants

Fun family vacation

Susan, it's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed Blake Cottage and all of its amenities! The pool is a huge plus since it's not common to find beach homes on the island with a private pool. It is serviced weekly during the summer to ensure it's in tip top shape for renters. I will make note about your feedback on the décor and pass along to the owner. She did just replace all of the decks on all levels of the house which took half the year to complete so updates may be delayed for a bit after that large upgrade project. We would love to host your family again next time you visit Wrightsville, and thank you for choosing to rent with our company!

Found one of the prettiest beaches on the East coast

Besides an A+ location this property has character as well as all the modern upgrades. All utilities functioned well. We loved the fact that the upstairs has a large Mater Bedroom, beautiful wrap around porch, large kitchen and dual sectional couches. $ more bedrooms are just below allowing for privacy and noise control. Having the pool is a huge plus becomes sometimes you just need to relax.

Only downside was the bait and switch feeling of having to pay for linens. Just include the expense in the initial offering.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! Our property descriptions highlight linens are not included on short stays. There is a fixed cost associated with this and the owner absorbs it on longer stays, however, we are currently working to have this fixed cost show up before booking for short stays to alleviate this concern. Our hope had been to keep cost low on the short stays so you only get the linens you need. However, once this switch is made, all linens will be provided on all stays.

Great girls weekend getaway!

We had a group of 10 and there was more than enough room! We were very comfortable. The only way you can get from the top floor to the bottom floor is from walking outside or taking the elevator. Both are easy but we did not realize prior to arrival that there were no interior stairs. The house was very clean! The kitchen had everything you need to make meals at home!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We got off to a ruff start after checking in. There were several things that weren’t properly maintained. After several phone calls to Bryant Real Estate the areas of concern were fixed. They were very prompt to respond and get it right.

Good time

We had my wife’s family down for her 40th birthday. Found this house and looked amazing with amazing views. We all had a great time celebrating her bday. Nice clean hot tub and pool, just on the other side of the dunes from the ocean. My only complaint was that the elevator did not work and there are not interior stairs to get from one floor to the other. So you had to go outside and up the steps to the kitchen floor. When it was raining a little more irritating. A little info on that from the management company would have been great. They did mention the elevator not working, but not having interior stairs, I feel should have been addressed.

Great house and great location

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The house is great and the location is amazing. The house needs some updates because it’s dated but we had a great stay.

IN NEED OF UPDATES!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Looks great from the outside but the inside is need of updates! Not what we were expecting for a beachfront property. Also, we were told after we arrived that the pool and hot tub are serviced on Wednesdays so if you arrive on the weekend, don't expect it to be clean. The hot tub was disgusting! There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and the shower knob in the master bedroom was broken. We had a day and a half of noise from the lawn service trimming the hedges/shrubs. And if that weren't enough, they wanted to bring in pest control which we strongly objected to. Bryant Real Estate was apologetic but wasn't willing to do anything for us except fix the shower knob. They seemed to put the blame on the owners for our issues. Needless to say our three day vacation was anything but relaxing.

Great get away

Everything was very clean and had an enjoyable stay. Only thing I would suggest is more rocking chairs (only 4) to enjoy the beautiful view!

Great week at the beach

The split upstairs and downstairs with no interior steps was a little odd at first but we got used to it. The location is fabulous and it was a nice convenience to have the pool to splash in as well as the beach. The wrap around porch is amazing. Would rent again for sure.
