Situated on the eastern shore of pristine Kangaroo Lake is your 3 bedroom relaxing vacation retreat. Reminiscent of childhood memories, swim all day, fish off the dock at sunset. Investigate the lake shore with your watercraft, or just sit by the lake side fire pit and marvel at the summer sky. Catch one of the many outstanding performances Door County has to offer. Come join us, you’ll never want to leave.

Sunset Lakefront View

We really enjoyed our stay each night viewing the gorgeous evening sunsets on the pier. Late night campfires by the lakeshore made many memorable memories. Lake views to enjoy from dining area and living room. Just couldn’t get rid of all the nasty fruit flies inside the kitchen garbage cans. Enjoyable outside back deck with grill. Great location to enjoy nearby areas of enjoyment such as Cana Island, The Ridges,Coyote Roadhouse for food & beer, Peach Barn Farmhouse & Brewery in Sisters Bay for outside live local music to be enjoyed by a fire pit . 10 mile Sunset bike trail in Peninsula Park. Door County Brewery in Bailey’s Harbor to enjoy a fun card or board game with outside fire pits to enjoy under the starry night. Koepsel’s Farm Market for homemade cherry pies, jams, salsa, wines, cheese, sausage, popcorn, coffee & fudge. We’ll definitely be back to make more fond Door County memories. For the outside front step a side railing would be suggested for your more elderly guests. Always have a great time in Door County with family and friends!

Modest and cute, beautiful view

Our family of 8 (4 kids + 4 adults) enjoyed our time and easily could have stayed and enjoyed DC longer. The Kangaroo Lake house provided comfortable and clean sleeping space, with a beautiful morning lake view and an even better evening sunset. The location is private with lakefront access, just a few minutes drive from Bailey’s Harbor businesses and restaurants. The house provides a large comfortable living space, but needs to be cleaned/swept under the furniture. Some of the dishes were not washed before being stacked in the cupboard. But the bathrooms and kitchen countertops were clean.

Excellent House & View - Hidden GEM!

In short, the backyard goes right to the lake -- stunning views! Cool, clear water! Clean, large home. Very nice. The batteries died on the keypad, locking us out of the house in the middle of the week, but one call later, and within the hour we were back running. Not a problem! Will be back again to this location!

Needs attention

The house itself was fine although, needed to be cleaned better, specifically the bathrooms. The master bed was unusable due to the fact it was not properly situated on the frame. We adjusted it ourselves to get it to work for our stay. It also did not have a mattress pad on it. One of the twin beds did not fit the box spring either, therefore it "tipped" if you sat to close to the edge. Until these things are fixed I would not recommend staying here.

SEPT 8-10 2021 STAY

House was conveniently located on Kangaroo Lake, close to Baileys Harbor. Very nice western view from deck or dock of the sunset. Looks like it would be nice to come here with kids to play in water or if you had a boat to dock. House is older , the screen on the patio door was not on the track, but we were able to get it back on. We did have all the utensils needed in kitchen. The shower in tub was older but worked well. Found it odd that you would have such a beautiful view of lake with large living room window, but most of the the living room furniture faced away from this view. We did move and arranged chairs so we could view , but did move them back when we left. Bathroom towels were pretty limited, we read other reviews and brought a few of our own. Would have been nice if there was WiFi, as there was satellite TV, but we had unlimited data plan on phones so we were ok. Enjoyed our 'sisters getaway' . Thank you !

Awesome experience

First time to door county, the property is amazing right kangaroo lake. Beautiful view out the bay windows. Clean and neat. Perfect for our time there.

Wonderful time away!

This place was a wonderful place to get away to! Off the beaten path on a quiet road yet only 20-30min to all activities. House is very large and VERY well equipped for a rental!! Would definitely come again.

Great Location

Very happy with the overall stay at this property. It was in a great location in comparison to the trips that my family and I had planned over the course of the week. Easy to find and was a quaint little place. Beds were comfortable and no issues with any of the amenities of the house. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Door County.

Cute house on a great lake

We stayed here for Labor Day weekend and it was a clean, cozy house. We didn't think the master bedroom bed was uncomfortable so maybe it has been changed, but the living room couch was pretty sunk in. Kids loved using the paddle boat, but be sure to bring your own life jackets. There is also a canoe but they didn't use that. Also- the description doesn't list that part of the house is closed off and has private signs on the door. The owners (who we met as they were taking their boat out) stated they only use that for storage though. The water was clean and clear and most people said it's a great lake for fishing. Kitchen was fully loaded and had everything we needed. No WiFi, but we had a good cellular signal out there.

Perfect location for rest and fun

Great location. Only 15 minutes from other popular towns. The house was great. The lake is beautiful. We have never seen such clear water in a lake before. We just had a much needed wonderful time.

Wonderful place

The place is very nice. A little outdated, but it is a family home. I had a total of 8 people and 2 dogs stay there. It would be nice if the fold out couch was comfortable and the master bedroom was comfortable. My children stated that the other beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had all of the amenities which was great. I got to meet the owner, who is very nice, because he had to put the dock in while we were there. The neighbors were nice and didn’t bother us either. The water is extremely clear and beautiful. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Great time but needs some repairs

Cute place. Clean. Lots of space and very private. Love being on the lake with a paddle boat. Some lights don't turn on. Screen door is broken. Master bedroom bed is terribly uncomfortable.
