**GRAND DEL MAR CHATEAU**

The house: Del Mar Château is a large country house nestled on a forested fresh water creek with two acres of blue sky privacy. The Château is three stories, seven bedrooms, and four bathrooms. The master suite and master bathroom are located on the first floor with french doors leading to the outside Jacuzzi/hot tub! A spacious foyer and library with fireplace greet you as you enter the Château. The great room/dining area, chef's kitchen, bathroom and laundry room and pantry complete the first floor.

The second floor has one large bathroom and four very spacious bedrooms; one with a beautiful fireplace. The third floor hosts a large bedroom and game room with game/pool table and a fourth bathroom. All rooms of the Château have spectacular territorial views.

The neighborhood: Del Mar Château is located just three minutes from downtown Gig Harbor in picturesque Crescent Valley. The Château is close to Gig Harbor's restaurants, shopping, and kayak rental. Private parking for 8 cars, the Château is off of a private driveway. Tacoma is 15 minutes away, Seattle 60 minutes.

The Garden: The spacious front porch has relaxing rocking chairs to enjoy the lawn, Douglas Firs and native northwest landscaping. The two tiered rear deck has a private covered gazebo great for entertaining with BBQ and outdoor living room seating. You'll want to enjoy the 6 person hot tub with garden views.

Wonderful stay with lots of space for our party of 7. Really enjoyed the sitting room with the gas fireplace. Great location right outside of Gig Harbor but away from all the noise.

The house "fit" our group of 7 women well. It was very quiet and had ample parking for everyone. It is a little over 4 miles to Costco, Safeway, Target and other shopping anyone may need. The town of Gig Harbor is also a bit over 4 miles. Everyone said that their beds were fine, and loved their rooms. Kitchen was well stocked. We did a 3.5 mile walk in the woods, that were less than a 10 minute drive away. There are several walks that are less that 5 miles, within a 30 minute drive. Good internet. Responsive Host. Big yard and things for all ages of children to do. We didn't have time to use the hot tub, but will next time!

Great house for an extended family trip!

We loved our extended family trip to the Grand Del Mar Chateau! We had three couples, one single adult, and three kids under 7. We had plenty of space to be together in the main living areas, and and spacious bedrooms have everyone their own space to spread out. The bedrooms are all spacious and very nicely put together with comfortable beds. The bathrooms were all nice and clean. The upstairs game room area had kids toys and gave the kids a nice play area out of the main living area. The 3rd floor does stay pretty hot even with the AC on in hot weather, so if you're staying in the summer and using the 3rd floor, keep that in mind. The kitchen isn't huge but we had plenty of space to take turns preparing meals. There was a lot of extra space around the kitchen and dining area to have coolers and food storage. The yard and outdoor space is wonderful! We had all the space we needed for the kids to run and play, relax outside on the patio, and play games. There is even a little trail down to a creek on the property. We loved that it was only about 15 minutes from downtown Gig Harbor but is private and feels like you're far away from everything. There were a few things on the property that needed some good cleaning or fixing up, but when I mentioned them to the hosts after our stay they said they addressed those right away. Communication with Erika was easy and she was very responsive. It is a lovely house and a great option for a large group or family!

Beautiful house, large with comfortable sleeping areas. Beds were great. Kitchen has many small appliances and serving dishes, plenty of plates and silverware. The cornhole game and air hockey table were great! Really close to Cresent lake boat launch.

Good place, nice for gatherings

I have stayed at this place twice now. The place is nice and big, we were all comfortable and the property is remote enough, where we felt very peaceful and in touch with nature. The down side is: it’s really dusty. The house has a central AC unit and the filters have not been cleaned in a while. So despite the cranking in between guests, the place is dusty. If you have allergies I don’t recommend the stay. This was our second time there and all of us brought air purifiers with us.

Spacious and Comfortable Property

For our family's annual girls' weekend, this property was terrific for our group of 7. It was great for each of us to have our own room, and we appreciated the overall spaciousness of the house. The house was equipped for all of our needs, and the host was great about responding promptly to questions when we had them. Highly recommended!

Women away

Huge home on a large property. The size was perfect for six women who all want their own room. It has everything you need for your stay. If it was a little closer to town the location would have been perfect but that’s hard to get with lots of bedrooms. The house was clean except the master bath could use a deep cleaning of the shower. Overall it was a wonderful home and we really enjoyed our stay.

Large house worked for multi-generation family vacation

The "Del Mar Chateau" consisted of many very large rooms with lots of futons and couches in each room. Tons of games are in most rooms, including parts of many video game consoles (didn't get a chance to try them out), and even a box of Duplos and other kid toys, which the littles loved. The space fit our 3-generation family well. We had a broken shower head, and someone came to fix it the next day. The AC worked great on the 1st and 2nd floors in the hot summer; the 3rd story was really hot, (even with the AC running and the fan they brought for us), but if you stay in the fall or spring, you should be okay. The outdoor space was great, with the gazebo (fan didn’t work), porch, play structure, and field. We weren't able to use the hot-tub, because the breaker kept tripping so it wasn't hot whenever we wanted to use it and water smelled bad. The kitchen was stocked with tons of stuff (although disorganized, a lot of expired pantry items, and non-stick pans were in rough shape). Our family really enjoyed the outdoor spaces and having space for all our family members.

Summer Grad Party

Our stay was perfect, great place for large groups and entertaining. This was our 2nd stay here and we loved it. Space for everyone, indoors and out, well stocked kitchen and towels too, peaceful and private but close to town...we loved it. Looking forward to staying again in the future!

Great stay in Gig Harbor

Stayed here for the 4th of July weekend with some friends and it was an awesome stay. Plenty of space for everyone, great outdoor spaces for some grilling and lawn games, and close enough to town to go in for lunch/dinner and hang out by the water. Would absolutely stay here again!

Private retreat in the forest

Absolutely beautiful place! This is a very private location in the forest. The yard was huge and we had a blast playing outdoor games. The jacuzzi was perfect for relaxing in the evening. Every room in this home is huge and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!

Quiet and Peaceful Gig Harbor Stay

The group of us enjoyed our stay at this property which had everything we needed. There were plenty of clean towels, nice big kitchen and rooms, nice outdoor sitting area, hot tub, comfortable beds, and all around nice place to stay.

Warm and welcoming home

The home is beautiful The property is gorgeous. I will say due to the heavy rains we had this weekend we did not get out and enjoy outside, but the home inside is so warm and cozy we Didn’t feel like we missed out on anything will be renting this home again next year.

Amazing Retreat

We rented this property for family to stay at when they came to WA for a family wedding in Port Orchard. The house was comfortable, roomy, had every comfort- a little paradise. We will definitely rent this place again in the future. Thank you so much!

Jay and I have been hosting guests at this vacation rental for over 7 years now. He built the home to fit our family, and then they went on to have families of their own. It was difficult to think about releasing so we began hosting other big families and groups. It has been very rewarding for us and we hope that you will come have a stay in the near future so that you can enjoy it as much as we and others have in the past.

Our unique features include great big bedrooms that have room for your whole group to roam comfortably. Although we sit on 2 1/2 acres of prestine seclusion, we are less than 5 minutes to the town of Gig Harbor, Gig Harbor North, Olalla and the beaches.
