There were many safety and mechanical issues with the house. The fence is comprised of chicken wire, old pallets, actual fencing and a mish mosh of other materials. It is not secure and frankly dangerous. The fence is on the edge of a cliff. We had a 2, 6 and 9 year old during our stay that could not safely use the yard. This unsafe condition was not new, and clearly demonstrates a basic general disregard for providing a safe rental, The rusted bathroom shower rod fell on me as I was getting out of the shower. The tile wall has numerous scratches where the rod attaches, indicating it has fallen on multiple occasions. The fact is, that this has been long overlooked, was easy to identify, and repairs should have been made before renting the property. The kitchen has two recessed 120v lights that are hanging from the power source wires. There is duct tape on those fixtures where a previous attempt was made to secure them in their proper position. It is obvious that this un-workman like attempt to re-attach an electrical fixture would fail. This clearly demonstrates that you knew about this condition. Moving on to the door in the kids bunk room. Upon our arrival, the top hinge was pulled out of the frame. The result was that it made the door nearly inoperable. We had a 6 and 9 year old staying in that room. On our first night with the door closed they could not get out to use the bathroom. In the case of a fire, they may have been trapped. Bad prop. management offered a TOKIN!!!
