The property was nice. We enjoyed watching the wildlife out of the back balconies. The kitchen was stocked well and the location was great as well.

Our family of four had the best time staying here for our vacation. We enjoyed being within walking distance of the beach and a couple of restaurants. Lovely home!

Barts place was an excellent place to stay. The location was clean and close by to everything we needed. There was plenty of room and everything was clean. Loved staying there and will be returning.

The property was a budget friendly option and had a great view of the river. We did have a few issues: there’s a leak upstairs that drips into the kitchen; there’s a very soft spot in the floor at the main level that we felt we were going to fall through; each balcony on the front contained multiple wasp nests; the main level rear deck had soft decking and an electrical outlet that has fallen outwards. The unit needs attention but was fine for what we needed for a short stay. I do wish it had a dock like all the adjacent houses.

This has a great location that is only a couple blocks down from the beach access. The view was amazing and the rooms were decorated very nicely. Some extra blankets on hand would be a good addition since there’s only light quilts. Overall it is a beautiful location and we had a wonderful time!

Bart's back river did not disapoint. The house was clean, well laid out and easy to get find. The views were spectacular. See ya next year.

Great Location and Sunset Views

The house was exactly as advertised. Everything was clean and neat, the check in/out process was simple. The location was perfect and the views were even better than the pictures. We got lucky with great weather and pretty sunsets every night.

Thanksgiving Tybee

Joy was a pleasure to work with during the rental process. She is very kind and helpful. Location of Barts River Retreat is absolutely awesome! Our Thanksgiving was so fun. We could walk to action but enjoyed the quiet neighborhood while hanging at the house. Barts is perfect for several families. I recommend eating at The Deck and AJ’s for waterfront dining.

Each room was spacious and had its own bathroom. We had 5 adults and 3 kids and it was perfect! I can’t wait to book again here.

Bart's Back River Retreat was in a quiet neighborhood. We had plenty of room for the two of us. Having a door code was appreciated as we did not have to keep track of house keys during our stay. Check-out was simple although there were conflicting instructions between the emails we received and the information posted on the refrigerator. The rental was very clean and nicely decorated.The master suite was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The common living area was big enough for us, but would be crowded with larger groups. The kitchen is small, but seemed to be well-stocked. Frankly, we did not cook as we enjoyed visiting local restaurants. The sunset views were phenomenal!Two things to be aware of if you have mobility issues—there are stairs (approximately 14 steps) to reach the main floor of the rental and there are stairs to the upper level. The couch is low and can be difficult to get up from. These things did not bother us, but may be of concern for others with mobility issues.We were able to enjoy side trips to Savannah and Charleston as both were within driving distance. The lighthouse and surrounding museum on Tybee Island were very interesting and informative. It would be nice to have comfortable seating on the decks (which are smaller than they appear in the photos, but still nice for sitting outside and enjoying the weather). We enjoyed our stay at Bart's Back River Retreat. It was a nice place to relax and enjoy the low country.
