Roland’s place was incredible. It felt like a home. Whether we were spending the day on the beach, cooking dinners for 10, playing games, sitting around a fire, it was set up perfectly for everything we needed. The communication was very clear and Roland made sure we had whatever we needed. I would love to stay again and 1000% recommend others to experience this home.

Perfect Michigan Beach House

This house is a near perfect michigan beach get away. We were impressed with how well stocked the house was and the overall space was perfect for our family to hang out together and enjoy the beach. Roland and Cindy are excellent hosts and we will definitely be back in the future.

Great lake house

Second time staying at this lovely lake house. Incredible view, great yard and private access to the beach, and a quiet neighborhood where you can see stars at night. Can't wait to stay here again some time!

I think this is the best VRBO we have ever stayed in! Great communication, lovely property, exceptionally well stocked kitchen, great beach, clean and large! Loved our stay!! Let me know if it goes on the market!!

Great views - Beautiful House

The house is beautiful with lots of room for hanging out with family. Great views out to the lake. We traveled with two 12 year old tweens and they enjoyed kayaking and paddleboarding down at beach, bike riding and smores at the fire pit. The owner was wonderful, easy to work with and suggested things to do in the area. We would definitely recommend the property to others.

Great stay

We really enjoyed our time at this house. Beautiful views, cute neighborhood, nicely updated kitchen, and good layout for two families. Private beach was great (though there are a LOT of stairs!). House had a standup paddle board and kayak, which was awesome. Hot tub was great. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect in Every Way

Just a beautiful location, with beautiful beach views from the house, yard and porches. Wide open layout and everything from the bedding to the kitchen is fresh and well done. Very attentive owner who is responsive to your needs.

Great family vacation

Loved this house! It was perfect for all age groups! It is setup so families had their own spaces. They thought of everything! Toys for little and big kids, great kitchen. The beach was wonderful. The hot tub was so relaxing and the outdoor shower was convenient. There were several spots to enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Michigan. Thank you Roland! You are a great host!

Great experience

House was in a great location, convenient to everything. We have been doing family trips now for the past five years and this house was easily the best equipped and supplied. Fantastic sunsets. Layout of house was great with a second living area downstairs. Very nice beach with plenty of room to walk. As an aside, if you are a golfer, Harbor Shores is a great Nicklaus layout in immaculate condition. It is worth the money.

Very well maintained and updated quality-built, mid-century, home with beautiful view of Lake Michigan, the jewel of the Midwest. Very, very clean. Bring safety gate for stairs if you have little ones or older dogs who have difficulty climbing hardwood stairs (beautiful, but slippery for some dogs). The most well-supplied rental we ever experienced. Loved the big, kitchen island and dining table that seated 10. Bring your own porta-crib and high chair or rent them from source supplied by property owner.

This place is even more beautiful than the pictures. It’s so thoughtfully appointed - had everything we needed to stay here comfortably for 5 days, and to enjoy our time by the lake.We really appreciated the private beach access and made such a good use of it. It helps that the beach is sandy and awesome. Our party had 2 families and the property layout was perfect for that. We cooked and grilled everyday, enjoyed some s’mores by the fire pit, had family style dinners, played badminton in the backyard. Most importantly, Roland is an outstanding host. He was communicative, flexible, and thoughtful. Each and every recommendation he shared was on point- the places for breakfast, coffee, groceries, donuts. It’s these kind of hosts that can take the experiences to another level. Roland clearly knows what he is doing and is excellent at it.

Great Lake Get Away

Our family had the most wonderful stay at the property! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how well-kept and thoughtfully maintained everything was. The home itself is beautiful—clean, comfortable, and full of charm. Nestled in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood, it offered the perfect escape while still being centrally located for everything we wanted to explore.One of the true highlights was the private beach—secluded, serene, and just steps away. It felt like our own little slice of paradise. Whether we were enjoying our morning coffee outside or winding down after a day of sightseeing, every moment was restful and relaxing.The location couldn’t be better—close enough to restaurants and shops, yet far enough to feel like we were truly away from it all. This property had everything we needed and more, and we are so grateful for the care and hospitality that made our stay so special.We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend the property to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic, and rejuvenating getaway!

Great Owners and Amazing Property...

This place was incredible! The outside of the house may not look like much, but the inside of the is designed beautifully with meticulous detail. There are 3 good sized bedrooms (one King size with lake/backyard views) on the main floor. The kitchen is sprawling with a HUGE breakfast bar space (like 6 stools) and then a fantastic high top dinner table. The main floor plan is open with, essentially, floor to ceiling windows and great views of the huge backyard and lake. For the particulars: 1) the owners are kind enough to have have thought of everything--TONS of cooking supplies and ingredients and an awesome grill; 2) awesome backyard with balls, badminton and a brand new hot tub; and 3) a great private beach with kayak and paddle board which we used everyday. Things to be aware of: 1) There are a lot of steps to the private beach; beach is incredible and it worked out great for me, my 6 year old and my 8-year old. But for 60+grandparents and 13-month baby, it wasn't really an option; and 2) Great wifi, but ZERO cell reception inside the house. You maybe able to get a little reception in the driveway, but even still (with Verizon) it's spotty. Overall, we would rent this place again as the owners are responsive and as kind as be, and the unit is brand new on the inside with a private beach (given it's a big set of stairs in the backyard away).

Thanks so much for the review and we appreciate you remarking on all the little things we try to do to make this place even more special! We recently installed (Comcast) phone service so now you'll be able to make calls even when the cell service is spotty--which it usually is inside the house. Hope to see you again next year--you guys were great!

Our stay in Michigan was just about perfect. The house and grounds were even bigger and nicer than what we expected, with plenty of space for our large group to spread out and have fun. The backyard was perfect for the kids to play in, and the fire pit and hot tub were great too. The beach down below was beautiful and secluded—just have to power through all the stairs, which is inevitable for the area. Appreciate the care and setup of everything, and the responsiveness of the host throughout the weekend. We’ll definitely be trying to stay here again next year!

Lovely Lakehouse

The lakehouse is in a great location with many amenities. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were excellent at communicating.

Great stay

The house was very nice. The view of the lake was awesome! Communication with the owner was quick and easy. The kitchen was excellent! Well stocked and large. We will return if we get the chance. Highly recommend.

A kitchen fit for Thanksgiving

When you read that this is a well-stocked kitchen, it definitely is! My family and I stayed over Thanksgiving weekend, and the property did not disappoint for views or platters. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and highly recommend it.

Great Family home!

We rented this house as the base camp for my sisters out of town wedding! It had plenty of space and beds to house all of us. The property was clean and supplied with plenty of activities laid out! Like a s’more bar! We took some wedding photos here and the backdrop was unreal! Only wish we had more time to enjoy the private beach and hot tub! Highly recommend this rental!
