Located 2 miles north of St. Joseph, this beautiful vacation home is situated on a bluff overlooking the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan. The attention to detail with both interior design and furnishings were chosen with our guests in mind. With a commanding view of Lake Michigan, the property includes a private staircase to 175 feet of pristine, private, sandy beach. Water sports of all kind are right outside your back yard and a gently-sloped sand bar is inviting for children of all ages. Walk for miles along the coast, searching for beach treasures.

As you enter the house, you will be taken aback by the astounding views of the lake and the large, open floor plan. Light, hardwood floors throughout the main level will draw you into the living room, with plenty of comfortable seating for large groups.

The main floor has an open, inviting feel. Spectacular views of the lake from the kitchen, dining area, and living room make this the space you'll find yourself gravitating to when you're not at the beach. Off the back of the house, a doorway leads you to the upper deck--the perfect area to relax as you take in the sights and sounds of Lake Michigan. With a large west facing deck complete with a Weber Genesis grill, two lounge chairs, and a table with seating for 4, it's the ideal place to take in the views and watch the beautiful sunsets over the lake.

An expansive dining room table is the perfect place for large gatherings and will seat up to 10 pp. The kitchen features granite countertops, new cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, below and above-counter lighting, and a large granite island that will double as a workspace or meeting area for coffee in the morning or drinks at night. Fully stocked with everything you would need to make and serve gourmet meals for 10pp., the kitchen will not disappoint even the most discriminating chef.

From the living room, a hallway connects the three well-appointed bedrooms on this floor. With views of the lake from it's large windows and the only bedroom to have a TV, most guests will vie for the king-size bedroom. High-quality furnishings, mattresses, and linens throughout the house will ensure a great night's sleep.

The second bedroom also features lake views and it's lake-inspired motif will make you feel like you're always at the beach. The third bedroom, with its bright, cheerful paint scheme and furnishings will put a smile on the face of even the most weary traveler.

The full bath has a modern feel with granite countertops, two vessel sinks, an oversized mirror, private toilet, and separate shower with plenty of hooks for bathing suits and towels.

Continuing to the lower level, you'll find a spacious laundry room with washer, dryer, ironing board, and a refrigerator for additional storage. From the stairs, you'll be drawn into the spacious, open-concept recreation room featuring a large, flat screen TV, foosball, game table, and library of books, DVD's, and games. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house and the three HDTVs are supported by Comcast cable.

From the rec room, you have access to the last two bedrooms. With its lake views and private location, the fourth bedroom will be sought after by those in your group who like to retire early or those with small children who need a quiet space to 'get away from it all.' The final bedroom sleeps 2 in two twin beds and is the perfect spot for kids of all ages, inspiring great summer memories of staying up late, sharing tall tales, and strengthening family bonds.

The full bathroom on this level is outfitted with a large walk-in shower, toilet, marble vanity, and changing area for trips to the hot tub or the beach. Bathrooms include towels, hair dryers, and plenty of hooks and storage.

Off the back of the rec room is a screened-in porch with more lake views and cool breezes. From the porch, the hot tub is just steps away next to an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand and sunscreen after your day in the sun. The large, landscaped yard is ideal for playing volleyball, frisbee, soccer, etc.... At night, you can enjoy a dip in the hot tub or s'mores in the fire pit overlooking the lake. Or, head to the beach where you'll find plenty of driftwood for a bonfire under the stars.

Downtown Saint Joseph and Benton Harbor are minutes away and packed with great restaurants, shops, galleries and museums. You'll discover plenty of fresh fruit stands, local farmer's markets, brew pubs, and wineries within minutes to visit and enjoy.

Less than two hours from Chicago or Ann Arbor, this is the perfect place to escape and relax.

Our goals for this vacation home are straight forward; to share our home with perhaps 6 to 10 groups each summer who can appreciate the details and lengths we go to ensure that each group has a fantastic experience. Please understand that we will be fairly discerning in how we will allow our house to be enjoyed and expect our guests to be respectful not only of the property, itself, but also to our neighbors.
