Nestled in the woods of the gated community of Nantahala Highlands, this magnificent, lakeshore, custom home has 3800 square feet with 1500 plus square feet of covered deck, four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, two great rooms, two fireplaces and a loft.

The home's extensive decking gives optimum views of Lake Nantahala and the mountains from every room. A gradual terrain walkway leads to the 120+ feet of shoreline, rock wall, newly upgraded dock with tie-downs for boats, kayaks, canoes, and jet ski ramp (jet ski not provided). Canoes, kayaks, paddles, and life vests provided. Additionally a 17' Boston Whaler is available for rent at an additional charge with skis, wakeboards, ropes, etc.

The natural beauty and peacefulness of the property are unsurpassed. Nantahala is an outdoorsman’s paradise with whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, camping, mountain hiking, and biking. Lake Nantahala is just two and a half hours from Atlanta; one hour from Highlands, North Carolina; and one and a half hours from Asheville, NC.

This is the perfect place to relax and unwind while you escape the hustle and demands of the big city, yet conveniently located in Western North Carolina and within driving distance to most cities in the Southeast.

SECURITY SYSTEM: This property is remotely monitored and has video and audio recording devices in exterior locations only. Remote monitoring includes RING security cameras in the front driveway area, front doorbell and lower deck/basement storage area.

We had a blast on Lake Nantahala for a family reunion! This was a great location and we loved being on the lake. The house had so much space and we loved making s’mores down by the lake! Using the boat made it very convenient to travel to family so we didn’t have to drive the whole time we were there. Brad was a great host!

476 Lakeshore: A Slice of Heaven!

This was our third visit to this amazing property, and it just gets better with time. The house is lovely, well-appointed, and comfortable. The view of the lake and mountains could not be better. The lake water is clean, and our group of 7 had the best time swimming off the dock. The kitchen had all we needed to make meals for the family, but we did visit Lake’s End for dinner one evening. We had to wait about half an hour for a table, but it was worth it. Yummy food. Great service. We would highly recommend staying in this lovely home in this amazing setting. We’ll be back!

We were very happy with our stay. We had a hiccup when we extended our reservation, but Bradley fixed the situation more than adequately. The house was exceptional, with a perfect location on the lake.

Great Place!!

We had 6 adults and 7 kids under 9, and the house was perfect for our large group. There are tons of options for entertainment nearby, fishing, hiking, or you can stay home and enjoy the beautiful lake. We are already looking forward to next year!

Family Vacation

Wonderful vacation. Property was exactly as described. Location on the lake was very convenient. House was well stocked with everything one would need. Communication with owner was very easy. Very comfortable for our family of 10.

A perfect trip

This getaway was just perfect. So much to do for everyone, relaxing on the porch overlooking the lake, water activities, everything we needed for cooking out, great time cooking s'mores at the fire pit, beautiful sunsets, inviting jacuzzi on porch, and a quick drive to local activities on the Nantahala and in Highlands, NC. A perfect trip.

A haven in the mountains!

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed so many aspects of our vacation at this beautiful home! It is completely outfitted with anything you could need for indoor or outdoor activities. Our teenagers were down at the water during most of our stay - so nice to see them away from screens enjoying themselves and interacting with the whole family! I whole-heartedly recommend this home!

Peaceful and serene vacation

Quiet,peaceful, and beautiful !!!

The home was well/equipped with necessary household items. We enjoyed the boat and all the water toys also! The mountains are beautiful and the weather was pleasant and comfortable for the first week in August....A wonderful place to relax and unwind!! We enjoyed seeing lots of shooting stars!!!

Great family vacation house!

Tastefully decorated, comfortable, well-outfitted house with gorgeous views-really nicely set up for a multi-generational family vacation like ours. Comfy downstairs area for the kids, and good wifi. House is in great condition with all sorts of options for water sports and general relaxation. Owners quickly remedied a check-in snafu, which was much appreciated, and were otherwise very responsive and provided lots of thorough info about the house and the area. We’d love to return - Lake Nantahala is a hidden gem!

Beautiful views

We had a group of 12 adults and one child, it accommodate us perfectly, we all loved the house. We only had problems with the drive way it was very steep and difficult to park 3 cars. Other than that I would definitely stay in the house again.

House and lake were nice. Area is remote. Lake traffic not crowded. Take your food provisions with you for your stay. Restaurant is nice. It's a dry county so if you want alcohol, get it before you get there.

Great spot on the lake

The house was perfect and the access to the lake was great! Kayaks and canoes provided, which led to hours of fun. Swimming off the dock was great, too! The only challenge is the driveway—pretty steep. Low clearance vehicles will have a challenge. The owners give good tips on how to manage it, though.

Nice stay!

We have stayed at several spots on the lake. This is the best view yet. Access to the lake is by far the best yet. It is a super nice house also. Plenty of room for my family of seven. The only downer is the driveway access. But, we hope to return there in the future. If we do It would be the first house we have stayed in twice over the many years we have vacationed in the area.

What a spot!

This place is amazing! The house is nice and very accommodating. Bradley is a terrific host. But most of all, this location is simply amazing! The lake is pristine. The shoreline across from the house is national forest. The stars at night are incredible! We stayed for 3 nights and never got back in our car until it was time to check out. Never wanted to. Highly recommend this sweet little corner of the universe.

Awesome aqesome

I know. About lake Nantahala for awhile and know it was a clean lake. To be honest the lake house was perfect the grandkids loved it better than the beach. So many options to do on the water. The house had a variety of lake toys that were perfect. The house was great and roomy and we had porches to eat on etc. Iit really was better than a beach vacation. We will definitely be back! The communication and response was top notch! Thanks for sharing the house !!!
